JamesJT Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Shuttle 1 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Shuttle 3 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Shuttle 2 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Video shows an older, less finished version, but the functions are the same. The 3 main rocket control the functions: Centre rocket opens the bay doors Right rocket lower/raises the wheels Left rocket lifts the satellite and opens up the solar panels I still think the wings look a bit heavy but I'll call it finished (for now) Quote
DrJB Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Very nice. The wings remind me of the Concorde a bit. Quote
98267a Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I like it. will you be making instructions for it ? Quote
zux Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Wow, that is awesome! Any chance of bottom picture? Quote
JamesJT Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Wouldn't take much to turn it in to a Concorde.... The LDD file is 90% complete so sharing instructions is possible, if I ever find time to finish the file. Shuttle 4 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Nicely done, especially considering its all from just a single set. Quote
Blakbird Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Lovely! Very solid as opposed to 8480. Quote
Rishab N Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Nice work. I like how there are barely any gaps Quote
JamesJT Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 I built the shell first (it practically built itself in about an hour) making stuff move took quite a bit longer. Shuttle4 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Quote
BusterHaus Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Great job, I like the repurposed propellers. Quote
Omikron Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) AWESOME! That is the best C model for this set I've seen so far! It's like mini 8480! Can you make instructions please? Edited January 24, 2015 by Omikron Quote
miguev Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Great job! Plenty of white parts in the 42025, put to good use. Quote
Boulderer Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 That's a great model in its own right! The fact that its C-model just makes it all the more impressive Quote
KirTech LAB Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Wonderful Shuttle!!! Like it very much! Quote
Eigenbroetler Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 That should have been the official b model imo. Quote
Pluto_MkII Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I was waiting for a new space shuttle and you built it. Great! Quote
arik Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Ah, excellent! It's impressive and as a C model even more so! Looking forward to instructions/LDD, 42025 has already been next on my shopping list :-) Quote
jeanska79 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Really a great C model! Hope you finish the instruction soon! My kid have the 42025 and loves shuttle... Quote
PROlego Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Very nice C-model of one of the worst ideas NASA has ever had (check http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_the_Space_Shuttle_program ) Back on topic: it will look much better with white pins and axles but I am afraid they either don't exist or they are two rare. Now make the SRBs and the external tank! Quote
arachnid Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Good idea and nice work. I'll try to build it. Quote
skriblez Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Very nice work! I need to get another 42025 to build this! Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Awesome! Put it on Rebrickable, lots of people would love to build this! Quote
