I'm so stoked for this theme!!! 14 sets for the first wave, and then more in august of 2016, holy moly. Love the looks of the heroes and the villains.

I'd like a "pre-vil" Jestro, but we didn't get young Garmadon either, so it's very unlikely. Although, he could pull a Garmadon and become good again when a new threat appears.

Jestros set is a cool looking one, but it only has 2 minifigs? It was rumored to be a 50$ set, and we only get 2 minifigs and buildable monster. But Jestro is a must get figure I think. While Knights have ultimately set as a way to get them for cheap, Jestro only comes in one set. Wouldn't it make sense to include him in 2 sets , as he is the bad guy of this theme?

I am not super surprised about this. I imagine he'll show up next wave in a cheaper set. In the meantime, children have to buy the big set to get the figure they all so desire.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the ultimate sets have that I can buy for cheaper than the regular sets so that I don't have to buy them! Hope the (very New-Yorker sounding) Legonomicon comes in an ultimate set! I forget, does Macy have an Ultimate set? Also really want to see that Library.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought the book sounded like a Yorker! I hope they don't go too over the top with it. I'm also wondering how the Library will look with the possibility Merlock is an A.I. System.

I wouldn't mind these helmets:

I like the metal parts, it's a nice touch. But I think all helmets in this style will be solid colors. The bright blue just doesn't work for me.

And of course they re-use the CMF King Crown and Beard:

But again, in a blue that just doesn't work.

I really can't wait for the next Castle theme, I hope some of the more useful parts from this series get used in a more useful way when that time finally comes.

If this story does go on long enough, I'm positive he'll get a redemption story arch. In my mind it's 100%. Cragger turned good (although he was never really evil), Garmadon turned good, even Lord Business turned good. It's a thing for children's shows in general, and Lego in particular.

Also it's set up that he's clearly corrupted by the book. So, there's that too.

Now, whether we'll get a pre-vil version of him at that point, or just a good-guy version is another story.

Yeah, I, too am sold on this theme. Some really useful minifigures and parts, as well as being just an awesome looking theme all round!

It seems that this Book of Monsters turned Jestro evil, so I imagine Jestro is only one and done villain, while Book will change hands and make someone else evil again.

He may be villain for more than one year, imo, but after he's gone a year or 2 as villain Lego will switch it up. Maybe we'll get the evil villain who made the book, for instance.

Yeah, I'm hopeful now, since pretty much every bad guy is converted to good again, although I might end up missing evil Jestro. That Book is just so perfect and useful for so many evil characters.

I'm sorta liking the King of Knighton, especially since he uses the S13 parts!

Merlok 2.0 could be a cool minifigure, though. I liked the Gold Ninja in Ninjago, and a Pearl Gold Wizard would be nice to have as well. Both would make great statues in a treasure room. And if he has that staff, that would be nice.

But why in blue? Silver would have been awesome.

Oh yeah, I would love a new Crook piece for a staff.

Looking at it now though I am worried that It may just be a recolor of the Ninjago snake piece.

I don't see how they could, since it's both a Science Fiction theme and a Big Bang / Action theme. It's only Castle in a superficial way. But yeah, they probably might. I mean, they thought this theme was a good idea, so they'd probably think it was Castle, too...

Lance's might still be cool, though. The others are too sparse (red & green knights), too bulky and specific (yellow knight), or too sport / American football (blue knight). The heads aren't bad, although I don't really like the lip color on Macy.

Yes, you're right. I was already happy due to the different visors, but looking at this picture they will look weird with the standard helmet piece except maybe Lance's. However, maybe we also get a new "castle knight" helmet in the future that works well with the new visors, something like this:

I mean, actually it's weird that the established visor has this structure in the middle to make the helmet look more like a knight's helmet (leaving aside that it's needed to attach the plume).

I doubt the new visors will appear elsewhere. The visors in Knights Kingdom 2 didn't make it out of that theme. But you may be right, there could be a new helmet piece in a Castle theme that works well with them later. That would be nice.

Perhaps. All I am trying to say is that Book seems to be THE Villain. As its a live being and seems to corrupt people holding it.
