A set that has a Castle, knights, trebuchets, a jester, a king and a Queen is Castle... even with the extra magical tech.

Its in the same vein as Thundercats -it does not have to make sense.

If it's not Castle, what is it?

Also I don't think this is the year to break out a traditional Castle theme, I have doubts that apart from hardcore fans that it fly off the shelves. Lego has to continue to fight for the attention of the younger audience, a traditional Castle theme might disappear behind all the noise. I'm sure lego times these things carefully.

These sets will capture the imagination of younger audience and some of us older fans too.

THANK YOU! I asked for this a few days ago and it was nowhere to be found. Thank you!

The Lego Instagram has a few good pictures of Nexo Knights on it, including this one.

There's actually also Axl from the Mega Man X series (which also actually had a shout-out to Guns'n'Roses Axl with the boss names in Mega Man X5).

Granted, he's kind of overlooked for various reasons (he joined the fray relatively late, wasn't in many games and his debut game was one of the actually bad games in the series), but he had also a few fun entries..

We don't talk about...... *Shudder* ...................Mega Man X8

Ok, as good as Kingdoms was, not every Castle theme could be like it

They can't just keep rebooting the same thing over and over again. They have to try new stuff each time, otherwise people will get bored of the theme. And sometimes we like it, and sometimes we just don't. That's it.

There is no need to be harsh about it :classic:

I haven't expressed my thoughts on this line after the pictures came out, so hereby I will

Just go short over the general stuff (for whoever reads this "yet another opinion" anyway ):

- This is a really refreshing theme!

- I absolutely love the grim, brutal look of the dark side. Aside from the magma gnomes and discs, nothing goofy about them, just pure badass!

- Sparkz... that guy is just Brutal as hell!

- Quite fond of the dark side vehicles.

- Not that fond of the good-guy vehicles, but I'm not that interested in vehicles in Castle themes in general.

So, more in detail about the knights:

- Too high-tech to make them fit in with traditional castle, but their unique vibe makes them desirable.

- I like how old heraldry makes its return, I was getting tired of crownies, lions (perpetually doomed to be good-guys) and dragons (always bad). At the very least these symbols won't slip into oblivion and hopefully will eventually return on traditional knights and shields.

- I like the new molds for visors and armour!

- All the knights are smiling! :classic: I think this is important to note and I am very glad that this decision was made. While the Ninjago ninja's still look so serious or even angry, still having the same single expression since the start of that theme, these already seem to have alternate expressions. Makes me happy :sweet:

Now, some things I found interesting:

8fac9cc40b.jpg

- The books! What a improvement compared to the old one! Even better, I've been wanting magic books for quite some time! :classic:

- Just couldn't leave those wonderful figs out!

- Throughout this first wave I have spotted a great many shields. Most of those that are part of a structure seem to be stickered, instead of most that are meant as real combat stuff. Not at all interested in the power-up prints, but there are some that I really want to get my hands on! The four that I have gathered all seem to have some kind of dragon/water serpent(!?) on them, very curious about that.

That's it for now, I'm looking forward to more Nexo Knights stuff!

Btw, Clay Moorington.... Nah, totally not a reference to Claymore! :sarcasm:

Yes. That thing. Where are you finding your Duplo sets, they must be awesome. ☺

Don't get discouraged by the hate, bro! I think you guys are on the right track as far as selling sets to the kiddies and this is definitely a ton better than Chima. My son is stoked for this and I am looking forward to seeing the next batch of baddies as well...

Here some pictures of the hors bick that I have made seeing the pics and with the bricks I've got in stock :

can you show us how that was built kudos for figuring it out!

Maybe those water serpents are for the summer wave?

Maybe. Not sure how I'd feel about that. I like dragons as much as the next guy, but I feel there's been a little too many dragons lately. If they chose to go that route I'm sure it could work, dragons are bound to show up in a Castle-esque theme eventually. I hope we get Dwarves later down the line. I've always had a soft spot for Dwarves.

I'd prefer a sea serpent to more dragons. Ninjago and Elves are busy exhausting the idea. Dwarves would be cool, especially since they only showed up in FE, but these weapons seem like they need a maker.

It seems no one took a pic of that left side, I imagine there's a kitchen there, since there's a robo chef and no other place for a kitchen. Also curious as to how that Library fits...

BTW the turrets in the rear are controlled by the steering Wheels from inside the turret. The right front turret has a hologram. The front left turret has a prison. In the rear of the castle appears to be two couches and a hologram on a table... Just my guess. It could use a bed :)

Guys: Save the pictures onto your computers if you want them. Lego is taking them down. :look:

I don't think there is need for that. They are everywhere now

They won't be once Lego tells those sites to remove the pictures.

Where has LEGO requested to take them down? I'm sure the only one they'll request across themes is the Episode VII one. :look:

They cache links are being taken down. They haven't taken them all down, though (they stopped, oddly enough, so a few themes still have images.)

That's a big overstatement. Lego is simply taking down the small HQ images on their cache. They're everywhere now at this point. The only downside is that we probably won't get any new pictures until an official release.

Edit: CM4Sci beat me to it.

If you look at the shape Fortrex has once it's opened and pay attention to the location on the small pin holes, it seems like the library, given its shape, could come "closing" the opened Fortrex structure.
