Rookie875 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I haven't really been keeping track of this discussion but do we have prices for the sets (specifically the King's mech it's gorgeous) Quote
Aanchir Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Hmm, this theme looks interesting. Space knights are cool. Can someone give me an overview of what the theme is about? From my understanding, there's a futuristic medieval kingdom called Knighton. The king's jester (Jestro) becomes disgruntled because the royal family is more interested in digital entertainment than his performances. He finds an evil book called the Book of Monsters which promises it can help him get back at the royal family. The Book of Monsters can summon an army of lava monsters, which Jestro commands. It's up to the king's knights to protect the kingdom. Quote

CM4Sci Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) ..Eh. Oh my goodness - not only does Clay's Rumble Blade separate into three bikes, but the middle section can be taken off and made into a giant flying sword. Edited November 24, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote
gedren_y Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 That's not a claymore. The guard and haft proportions make it barely a dagger. I suggested it might be a four part vehicle some time ago. Quote
BrickJagger Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 *Snip of Library + Fortrex ..Eh. Don't like this at all. How is Fortrex supposed to move with the Library attached? The Library itself barely holds its own as a standalone set. Only real "Miss" of the wave for me, besides Ultimate Clay. Quote
Space Police XVIII Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) Don't like this at all. How is Fortrex supposed to move with the Library attached? Well...between the rear tracks pointing inwards and walls dragging on the ground, I sort of doubt it's supposed to move like that.I'll bet the Library, with its walls folded, fits inside the Fortrex when that's closed up and on the move. Actor Builder Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I suggested it might be a four part vehicle some time ago. Good for you! I'm absurdly impressed! The conglomerate set looks weird. I don't care much for it, but kids will love it. That's what matters. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I have to say this is a really awful sword for a King Quote
BrickFit26 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 ..Eh. The Fortrex & Merlock's Library 2.0 combined together looks awesome. And the giant flying sword is a sweet surprise. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 So, Sir Robin has a chicken on his arms. That's clever. Quote

ChristopheQ Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 at least with this shield, no doubt it's a sticker : http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70333-1/70333_alt6.jpg) (lego should'nt hire 6 years old kids to build the sets for the official photoshoot :) Quote

Pate-keetongu Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 So, Sir Robin has a chicken on his arms. That's clever. Sir Robin The Not-As-Brave-As-Lancelot! Anyway, this theme looks better than before (as they always do with the clear pictures). I doubt I'll end up getting any, but there's plenty of stuff to pick up from BL later on. King's Mech looks best of the bunch, it's always nice to see a beard recolor. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Anyway, this theme looks better than before (as they always do with the clear pictures). "clear" being an euphemism for "way better than life picture constructed through heavy computer processing" :) Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I still think the Fortex is a little too small for a price... I hope Jang review will change it! Love the small packs and probably will get many of them. Main theme for next year for me! Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) I still think the Fortex is a little too small for a price... Agree, it looks small. Despite the vilain vehicle being small as well. But the price/piece is good. It's the density of the castle (no empty spaces...) and the number of accessories (armors, arms, robots, bike...) which let few pieces to make it bigger. It needs the library to look like a proper castle. Edited November 24, 2015 by ChristopheQ Quote

ChristopheQ Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Guys it's Huge! You guys are crazy, the treads themselves are half as tall as my Castle MOC. it's high, but i'm sure I can find some 100 $ sets as high, and wider or longer. Not as bulky/square/dense tough, which was my point. The Fortrex is very monolithic, in a good way :) Quote
BricksrDamian2 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) Yeah, you might as well go look on Brickset unless you want me to post some here. These sets are AMAZING. I am so excited. Me too!But I don't like the smallest sets I like the rest thoughI want to buy the fortrex because that's a awesome looking set Edited November 24, 2015 by BricksrDamian2 Quote
Algernon Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Man, I didn't think I would, but I weirdly love this theme. The sweet minifig designs, cool aesthetic and color scheme are just so charming. Quote
dannallcorn Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) I was right i said ages ago that Clays car had a flying section as well. My wallet is going to hurt when these come out. Also love the opened Fortrex it gives it a training/actual castle look Edited November 25, 2015 by dannallcorn Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I noticed one amazing detail on boxes- On every box Jestro summons the baddie to fight on the picture! Haha that's cute! Quote
