February 8, 20169 yr Hi I'm new here and I love these sets. Very original and fun. I saw a preview of the summer sets and they look awesome!
February 8, 20169 yr As Aanchir stated, the British edition is out and I was able to get it (I am not currently in the US, as my relatives don't live there). I'll see if i can take a few pictures at some point, but at the moment I'm in a tight spot.
February 8, 20169 yr I think the one set of the Summer Wave I'm most excited about ist 70318 because it has this nice helmet in blue, which might fit better for this one MOC I've been updating every now and then. But the rest of the summer line-up looks good as well! My favourite is probably Aaron's Crossbow ship. The thrusters underneath it look particulary nice.
February 9, 20169 yr I've got the Dutch version this wednesday. I'll make some pics if no one else has by then. Yes please. It would be very much appreciated.
February 9, 20169 yr I wasn't particularly interested in Nexo Knights but then I randomly watched the first couple of episodes of the TV show and now I want some of the good guy stuff for the trans fluro orange and blue colors... The Merlok Library set in particular looks interesting although there are some other nice parts in this theme too. This theme really is the closest to Cyberpunk LEGO have ever done (what with shields that can download new cool powers via wireless and a magician that has been downloaded into a computer system and stuff)
February 9, 20169 yr Am I the only one wondering whether the Nexo Knights world features any of the classic fantasy races? I can imagine dwarves being major shareholders and a large part of the workforce in factories, while elves do a lot of solar panel/organic tech research. That'd make a nice explanation for Mushlord, now that I think of it.

I can imagine dwarves being major shareholders and a large part of the workforce in factories, while elves do a lot of solar panel/organic tech research. That'd make a nice explanation for Mushlord, now that I think of it. I feel like they are deliberately doing something very different from classic fantasy, and as such it seems unlikely. Then again, I thought this theme was unlikely until it was announced. So in that spirit, I expect cyborg elves and unicorns with rocket thrusters.
February 9, 20169 yr Well, there are apparently classic witches (as seen in one of the trailers), and there used to be several wizards. So I think that the Nexo Knights world started out fairly close to classic fantasy.
February 9, 20169 yr cyborg elves and unicorns with rocket thrusters. Aw HELL YEAH. Lego please make this happen thank you in advance.

That'd make a nice explanation for Mushlord, now that I think of it. I think that the whole Jestro's army of monsters is more about classic creatures rather than something new - all these demons, globlins and lava-monsters... They even use classic weapons like common swords and catapults and their outfits like the one Beast-master wears is reminiscent of the classic Castle, so I think it is possible that we will have some classic-fantasy features in future with all this NEXO-stuff still being the major aesthetic
February 9, 20169 yr I think that the whole Jestro's army of monsters is more about classic creatures rather than something new - all these demons, globlins and lava-monsters.. I agree for the most part the Lava monster army is very fantasy/magic like, but some of the sets definately have some hints of technology in small bits like the control panels/exhausts on the moltor lava smasher/beast master chariot, but it's way more subtle. I think keeping the enemy faction(s) a bit more primitive and partly creature based would keep the contrast to the theme. Of course the nexo knights can have mechanic animal-ish shapes like horses (lance mecha horse & knight hover horses) or dragons, (multiple nexo power shields are elemental dragon-ish), it also keeps the theme seperated from "organic" animals like we see in Elves & Ninjago. There's still room for more mechanical animals-inspired sets (vehicles or structures) when you look at the Aaron crest (fox), Clay (falcon knight), Axl (Bull), Macy (dragon), Robin (Chicken), King (Lion). I know this sounds cliche but they did it for Lance after all :) I just think they skipped dragons for now since ninjago just released some (& had some big dragon sets in the past) I got most of Wave 1 now, and I feel the balance between good and evil sets is decent from what I got right now (missing rumble blade/mecha horse) Edited February 9, 20169 yr by TeriXeri
February 9, 20169 yr Another hi-res interesting prelim from the European Nexo Knights site - this is what I drew!
February 9, 20169 yr Author How is the piece count only 898? A few changes: Lasers on Aaron's flyer are small swords Ash Attacker has Crust Smasher's helmet and sword Scurrier from the Rumble Blade is included and has fire on his head Prints on the flags are eagles Old book Shields Merlok looks like he was drawn on with a Sharpie
February 9, 20169 yr How is the piece count only 898? No rubber inserts on the treads is definitely a big part of that.
February 9, 20169 yr No rubber inserts on the treads is definitely a big part of that. Still, even if you deduct both that AND all the studs used as stud shooter ammo, you're still only down to 1048 parts. And it doesn't look like the rest of the set is substantially different. That's still, like, a 150-piece difference. To make up that difference I imagine they'd have to deduct the minifigures, accessories, and all of the smaller vehicles. I imagine the piece count discrepancy might have more to do with LEGO just having "sample" details for boxes of various sizes and only changing the details on the preliminary boxes that they're sure about.
February 9, 20169 yr I can't take any pictures, my tablet camera won't work. I have everything but the Fortrex from the first wave and I'll get that around the summer. I want to have a team of Squirebots, but I can just get the Castle after all the knight vehicles. I want atleast two black scurriers so maybe I'll bricklink the second one or something.
February 10, 20169 yr I hope they make more black scurriers. Please make more LEGO. Edited February 10, 20169 yr by BrickFit26
February 10, 20169 yr Man, I'm so torn. I can't stand all the mecha horses and stuff in this theme - it's too scifi/steampunk for me to fit into the castle stuff i normally collect, but the villain sets look so great. That volcano base looks amazing.
February 10, 20169 yr Its my impression from the first episode of show that each of the knights bear there heraldic emblem on their shields and armor. Making Knighton a kingdom that developed from the old Lego castle themes as its history, giving each of the knights different family lineage to the old themes. So I don't think any fantasy we have had in any of those would be out of the question. With that in mind I think it would be cool if we had more knights show up fallowing the same pattern as the hero knights with having lineage to other old castle themes such as the Fright Knights with a dark or black knight type character. February 10, 20169 yr So many people want more black scurriers. Bricks and Pieces guys. Bricks and Pieces is your friend. It's how I plan to get 50 globlins.
