CM4Sci Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Plus, in the Ultimae catalog page, bad guy shields are black, good have silver. Robin has silver. Quote
Lyichir Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 It just seems odd for this theme to have six heroes at the very start. It's not that out of the ordinary. Most constraction themes (Hero Factory, Bionicle, etc.) start out with a team of six, and while they weren't all heroes in the first year, Legends of Chima also started off with six main factions (each with one "main" character to represent them). Six is a nice even number—when my family was originally collecting Bionicle, it certainly helped that we could split the sets between the three of us evenly (with each of us getting two out of every six sets), unlike with Exo-Force (where we split the sets more unevenly, with our little brother getting most of the robot sets and Aanchir and I splitting the human sets between the two of us). Ordinareo Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) It just seems odd for this theme to have six heroes at the very start. Ninjago had six heroes at the very start: Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Nya and Sensei Wu. Edited October 1, 2015 by Ordinareo Quote
x105Black Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 If it's the Chima successor (which the pre-release product codes indicate it is) then there may well be a chance for an "evergreen" Castle to exist alongside at a later date. Mark Stfford would know, but probably isn't allowed to comment as it could divulge future business plans. That's what I really want to know. I want a new Castle theme. About the number of heroes: If you include Sensei Wu as a Ninjago hero, shouldn't you include Merlok as a Nexo Knights hero? Quote
RuneJack Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Do we know yet if the Bull Knight going to be like Dogpound and Leatherhead that is just one piece with the head/helmet already attached or kind of like Mungus where you are able to change it around a bit. I haven't look through all the previous posts, so if there is any information on him could you send me the page number? Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Pretty sure it's like Mungus. The torso bottom is a normal minifig torso with no arms, it seems. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 The Bull Knight uses a regular minifig head. Quote
Kaanere Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 The torso bottom is a normal minifig torso with no arms, it seems. I think it's because the molded torso has a minifigure torso shape, but it's not. Has LEGO ever released an incomplete minifigure torso? Quote

I think it's because the molded torso has a minifigure torso shape, but it's not. Has LEGO ever released an incomplete minifigure torso? Perhaps his torso is a single mold? The torso/upper armor is one piece? Add small ball joints to mainly Technic arms and boom! Also didn't Sci (or someone with the info) say something about the Ultimate Sets being Axel's armor styled for the rest of the Nexo Knights? Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I don't think Axel has differently-jointed arms. That would be cool, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) If the artwork is a faithful representation, I suspect it's a new torso part, or at least a new part meant to be used as a torso. The connection to the legs would be the same, and the top meant to hold a minifig head (like Hagrid or Metalbeard's beard piece), but with different arms, or mixel knobs that you brick-build arms to. If it is in fact a new piece, it would make sense to me; it would make a size of fig between the bigfigs and normal figs. I imagine they would carry this size over to the superhero themes. But I could be wrong about the whole thing. Edited October 1, 2015 by rodiziorobs Quote

I'm guessing a new torso piece, and the arms and head attach to it. Not sure if the armor would be a different piece / pieces or if it would be part of the torso / arms. Quote
ToaDraco Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 This theme gives me a very He-Man vibe and I love it. I especially like Axel and his bulky look, cool helmet and wicked axe, he even has a similar color scheme to Onua. Quote
kevkipo Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 "Bull knight's" torso could be so usefull for Marvel, Kingpin, Lizard, and so much more Quote
x105Black Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 This theme gives me a very He-Man vibe and I love it. I especially like Axel and his bulky look, cool helmet and wicked axe, he even has a similar color scheme to Onua. That's very strange, because I get no He-Man vibe at all (and I was kind of hoping for it with the way the discussion was going). He-Man has a great stone castle in Castle Greyskull. It's definitely not a tank. And he is a barbarian, not an over-armored cyber-knight. And he's got a rad green tiger. There's tech there, certainly, especially when you get to the Kingdom of Eternia and some of the techy heroes, but most of the best elements are otherworldly fantasy. The villains are all vastly different. One is a beast, another is a sea creature, another is a lobster-man, and yet another is a bee. There are no lava-creatures to be found, from what I can remember. Anyways, I'm glad you're enjoying it as a fellow He-Man fan. Quote
DraikNova Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I really love the look of the lava monster on the far left, just sticking its head into the picture. It looks like a combination of some of the drawn and animated Rock Raiders and Power Miners lava monsters. I'm also loving the design for the good guys. I've never been much of a castle fan (unless it involves dragons), but this has definitely managed to interest me. The stretched look of the Bull Knight confuses me a bit, but he still looks awesome. I wonder how they'll deal with Macy's hair flowing out of her helmet, or if they'll simply not bother to actually make that in the sets. It'd be impractical, to say the least. Also, the new sword mold is awesome. Quote

Also didn't Sci (or someone with the info) say something about the Ultimate Sets being Axel's armor styled for the rest of the Nexo Knights? Well, they're giant buildable jetpacks, blasters, propellers, etc. Don't think there are any new molds minus the new spring shooters and Lavaria's legs. Maybe the armor. Quote

It'd be impractical, to say the least. It's a plume, not a ponytail. So it'll likely be standard connection to the visor. The bull knight's torso+arms seem to be one piece, with maybe the armor being separate. The arms don't look compatible with anything previous, since they don't use Mixel joints or any existing parts. Whether or not they'll be articulated with ball joints is yet to be seen. Quote

I wonder how they'll deal with Macy's hair flowing out of her helmet, or if they'll simply not bother to actually make that in the sets. It'd be impractical, to say the least. I think it's a new Plume piece. I hope so, anyways, because it is one of the few pieces I actually like. I just wish it wasn't in the silly podracer set. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Gonna guess arms and armor are separate pieces. Also, where did we see the name Axel? Quote
DraikNova Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I think the Bull Knight's armor will be like some of the previous bigfigs: pin connections for the arms, separate hands that are also connected with a pin. I really love that new bow-gun piece Aaron has. Also, if that's a plume on Macy's helmet, that's rather huge. Quote
Zergos Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Gonna guess arms and armor are separate pieces. Also, where did we see the name Axel? I have no clue. All the sudden everyone is calling him axel, even though it hasn't been confirmed.. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I have no clue. All the sudden everyone is calling him axel, even though it hasn't been confirmed.. I like the name because of the axe, and the allusions to the names, or somethin, like: Aaron - arrow Macy - mace Robin - ? Clay - claymore Lance - lance Axel - axe Quote
x105Black Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I thought someone read the name Axel in an app somewhere? Quote
