DraikNova Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) So her plume is identical to her ponytail? Because I could swear that it has exactly the same color and shape. Edited October 9, 2015 by DraikNova Quote
x105Black Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Whoever said Macy's plume was her ponytail: And there it is. I completely forgot about that shot. Thanks for the reminder. Edited October 9, 2015 by x105Black Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I knew it was a plume! How on earth could a ponytail come out of a visor, anyway? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 @Brickmario: it's not easy... or necessarily worth the effort. Trust me. I still hold my hopes out that we get a new hairpiece with accessory hole for the ponytail plume! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
x105Black Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I still hold my hopes out that we get a new hairpiece with accessory hole for the ponytail plume! My guess is that, if we ever get a hair piece for her, it will be a single piece. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 My guess is that, if we ever get a hair piece for her, it will be a single piece. Hm. That would be a bit of a disappointment, since it seems like such an easy thing to do. Heck, I know at least one hairpiece that work perfectly for this purpose already! although the hole may be a little too forward. Anyways, it'd be a missed opportunity if they don't. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Arigomi Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 It seems inevitable that Nexo Knights will at least get a fun pack for LEGO Dimensions due to the LEGO Universe comparisons. Ninjago's success can't last forever and LEGO wants to find a successor. Nexo Knights seems to have more potential than Chima did in filling that role. Quote

BrickJagger Posted October 10, 2015 Author Posted October 10, 2015 Went ahead and made a "Future Castle Sets" thread in the Historic Themes forum, just to sort out some clutter in here and make everyone happy. It seems inevitable that Nexo Knights will at least get a fun pack for LEGO Dimensions due to the LEGO Universe comparisons. Ninjago's success can't last forever and LEGO wants to find a successor. Nexo Knights seems to have more potential than Chima did in filling that role. Hmm.... not sure that NK will be more than a three year theme, since Lego said recently that Ninjago has graduated to evergreen status. If it's successful, it will get more years, but probably not as much promotion as Ninjago, which seemingly will never fall from popularity, especially if Lego keeps rebooting it like they said they will. But, I would say it all depends on how popular Nexo Knights becomes, and how lasting that popularity will be. Ninjago is now considered an evergreen theme, similarly to say Lego City. Lego has said itself that in 10 years time Ninjago will still be a theme, despite changes through reboots and new story lines. I kinda don't see Nexo Knights following a similar pattern however I wouldnt put a Nexo Knights and Ninjago mashup somewhere along the ways. Quote
Ardelon Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) No, the reason why they mix various cool things is because it's awesome, And anyway, if you're a society that can afford miniature robots to do things for you, you can afford giving your entire kingdom a medieval aesthetic simply because you like medieval concepts. Kind of my point - jumbling random things together to maximize the "kewl/awesum" factor, and yet the result is often less than the sum of its parts. Like putting chocolate syrup on salmon, on the basis of both foods being delicious (although I admit I havent tried this combination ...). I think that more often than not, cool things are awesome in relation to their environment, and risk looking out of place elsewhere. But I will stick around to see how the designers handle it. And if you can afford miniature robots, you can afford firearms and cruise missiles to do your dirty work for you, without relying on "knights", but I admit that now Im thinking about it too hard. I knew it was a plume! How on earth could a ponytail come out of a visor, anyway? I thought it worked like the hole at the cap of baseball caps where you can poke your ponytail through. But this way is funnier. I wonder whether it will be addressed in-show. Edited October 10, 2015 by Ardelon Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I'm tired of Ninjago even though I like the sets. How it became an evergreen, I'll never know. But Dimensions packs would be awesome! Imagine Jestro fighting the Joker! I thought it worked like the hole at the cap of baseball caps where you can poke your ponytail through. But this way is funnier. I wonder whether it will be addressed in-show. But the plume seems to be a visor attachment, not a helmet attachment, which makes it impossible to be hair (attached to her head, that is). Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) I'm thinking Macy will be in either the king mech or merlock library. That way, she would be in two sets like the other knights. Axl could also be in two of those sets as well. I'm just thinking, those exclusive sets need knights and those two would be perfect. I don't think robin will be in a set, i think it'll just be his ultimate set. The king, queen, Macy, and one or two baddies for the king mech set. Merlock, Axl, purple prinesss, and two baddies for the merlock library set. These are just my guesses. Edited October 10, 2015 by amazingbricks Quote
x105Black Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Imagine Jestro fighting the Joker! He seems like the child of the Joker and Harley Quinn. Quote
BrickJagger Posted October 10, 2015 Author Posted October 10, 2015 Merlock, Axl, purple prinesss, and two baddies for the merlock library set. These are just my guesses. A set that retails for only 25 dollars probably wouldn't contain five figs, especially since the NK figure distribution is fairly thin (As evidenced by the 3 figs for 60 bucks in the Jestro set). Also, Axl will probably remain exclusive to Fortrex for the first wave, so more people will buy that set to get him. My predictions: King's Mech: King, Queen, Good guy soldier, Lava monster and lava golem (The little ones). Merlock's library: Merlock, Purple Princess, Lava monster, Lava "Ball" (The ones that stick to Axl in the trailer. Did anyone notice that there is nothing futuristic in any of the Lava monster sets? Chaos Catapult is just a catapult, Beast Master's chariot is pulled by giant lava balls, and Jestro's set is pulled by the giant golem and is basically a redo of the Troll Battle Wagon from 2008. Can't tell how the Moltor set moves though, the picture is too blurry. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 That's actually pretty typical in action stuff. The good guys are advance, and the villains have clunky old vehicles. But I do like the lack of futuristic tech on Team Lava. That Evil Mobile is just awesome in every sense of the word. So let me get this straight: Jestro is the Joker and Harley Quinn's medieval lovechild, but his vehicle is "Harley meets Two-Face"? Quote
Ardelon Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 But the plume seems to be a visor attachment, not a helmet attachment, which makes it impossible to be hair (attached to her head, that is). Youre right, but I was thinking more of an in-universe explanation. But nope, just a plume. Quote

Can't tell how the Moltor set moves though, the picture is too blurry. Do we know how much the King's Mech will be? Agreed that Library will have no where near as many figures. Also, Macy only being in one actual set makes sense, considering Lego's "Females only in the expensive sets because boys only play with guy figures" policy. She does have an ultimate which makes me very pleased. Anyone know what her ultimate comes with? I want to know because I'm buying it. They're 9.99 right? or are they 12-15 each? The later sounds pretty steep, considering it's just a fig and accessories. I thought that Merlock was not appearing as a minifigure. Also, I'm like 89.763081% sure that the little lava balls are the tv show's interpretation of the disks fired by the bad guy vehicle in the Fortrex set. Like the ghost disks from Ninjago's recent wave. Shoot, I'm loosing track of Ninjago's waves. Seems like just yesterday they were multicoloured snake people. (I mean the first time they were snake people) my guess for Library is: Robin, Princess, Lava monster (and/or Lava golem) My guess for King's Mech is: King, Queen, Knight(?), Big Lava golem (the devilish one from the TV show, to combat the mech), maybe another bad guy depending on price. That's actually pretty typical in action stuff. The good guys are advance, and the villains have clunky old vehicles. But I do like the lack of futuristic tech on Team Lava. Vorkosigan Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I like these guys' prints. The vampire looking teeth on the red guy is a nice touch. The detail on the leg armor is impressive, I could see the torso and legs of the guy on the right making a good dark knight or barbarian character. Quote

Looking at the mohawk dude up close, I'm beginning to like his face a lot more! From afar he looked like a red version of the stupid most common Ninjago Ghost, but now that I look at it closer, his face is actually totally great!... and that red naked torso. Mmmm. Very nice. And the armoured guy is just super great. The head looks like a red Orc head from this picture. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited October 10, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote
x105Black Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Yeah, I really like the printing on the legs, and the torso of the guy on the right. I'd probably switch out his arms, but looks good. Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Holy heck! These two sets look great. I'm currently trying to recreate Jestro's set in LDD, and I noticed that when the wheels move, the lower jaw moves up and down. This makes me like the set more than I already did! I'll post opinions later. Quote
Kalhiki Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 So I was thinking. A Nexo Knights chess set would be glorious. And a good army builder. Was very disappointed by the Pirates on, and I think Nexo Knights would work very well for chess. Knights will always fit in with chess pieces. Quote
