ChristopheQ Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) the Ninjago and Chima good guys sets (except for the last Fire and Ice) were not following a uniformed color scheme. (Cole vehicles are Black, Zane are white... Chima Lions are yellowish orange, Eagle are blue and white...) But the Nexo knight 2016 have this blue-trans redish orange color schemes (Lance horse have some white, but is still mostly blue...) it makes a nice contrast with the bad guys orange and black... I hope for 2017 the main colors of the good guys will change. Difficult not to pick a knight colors (2016 was already Clay color), purple, lime, Brown and black being traditionaly more "evil". Maybe Dark green, Yellowish orange, light blue... I guess we will have a "aerial" wawe (with griffon ?) and a sea wawe. Maybe a moutain wawe (with dwarves and mines ?) As for the bad guies, I think Lego should add a twist. A necromancer could resuscitate obsolete robots instead of humans. Not with an Egyptian look like Stargate or the Necron in Warhammer 40k, but more rusty/scrapy... I wonder if the bad guies will stay magically powered, or if some of them will be super high tech. And in 2 years after we forget the last ninjago and Elves wawes, some dragons will be nice !!! Edited October 25, 2015 by ChristopheQ Quote
ChristopheQ Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) Giants seem plauasble as Axl is of that species so to speak. Do like the idea of dark elves etc. Mind you with the Book of monsters anything is possible albeit only doing lava demons at the moment. 1 brick built giant or 1 bigfig ogre is super possible, but I guess not 5 for a wawe. As for the dark elves, I would argue they are too sophisticated for lego styled cartoons. Bad guys (except the boss, sometimes...) in Ninjago and Chima are goofy/ridiculous... DraikNova Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) I like the idea of a necromancer with an army of undead (unpowered? Undeactivated? Unrusted? Unscrapped?) robots. Edited October 25, 2015 by DraikNova Quote

A brick built giant would be cool a la the Groot brick build or the hulkbuster one and it could give the King Mech a good fight. As other than Sparx the current monsters dont look all that large really. Quote

Welcome to the boards! Quote
ChristopheQ Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Axl huge torso/small leg, and his soft/good nature as described in his bio reminds me of Lian-Chu in the Dragon Hunters movie http://medias.myfrenchfilmfestival.com/medias/40/128/32808/format_page/dragon-hunters.jpg Quote
Space Police XVIII Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Axl's huge torso/teeny tiny little legs is my one and only complaint about Nexo Knights. He looks kinda ridiculous. But I've already got some ideas on how to build up the legs, it'll work. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 He's my favorite!!! Besides Clay, but I always love the brutes. And his Mohawk is cool. Quote
Kliq Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I love Axl's look, personally, however I HATE the fact that his hands won't rotate!! That just kills it for me. I do play with and pose my minifigures, and it does not feel right when you are sword fighting with minifigs and one of them cannot rotate their hands to angle their weapon! Quote

Ah right i must have missed that one. Will see if i can find the pics for it. Oh and thanks been lurking for a while so decided to join. Quote

Yeah, it would have been the perfect opportunity to introduce a "improved" type of minifigure for those who want one.(ball joint shoulders and legs, different proportions and so on) That would have been the only reason for me to buy some NK sets. Exetrius Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I hope Axl's arms are connect to the body via Technic pins. Custom arms (i.e. with ball joints) would be a piece of cake that way. Quote
dannallcorn Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I hope Axl's arms are connect to the body via Technic pins. From what i have heard its one whole piece and its slipped over standard legs and torso pieces. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Are we sure that axl's hands don't rotate? Quote
dannallcorn Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 They do look pretty solid and static but that said they could just be larger versions of the robot hand pieces so they could rotate but it doesnt look likely. Maybe the Ultimate version may solve that problem. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Speaking of jonction. Sparkz head (the giant cyclops in the evil mobile set) should be a normal lego head right ? (his helmet being the same as the lava guy in the knighton disc launcher set). I don't like the build and want to use the cool head to customize an other lava guy. My upgraded evil mobile siege tower (with ram and a single big catapult) will be pushed by my power miner erruptor http://vignette3.wik...=20101227174202 and my Firax being trans orange and blck will fit as well http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Firax and I will try to transform the wheels in a hamster wheel with the knight I have in double running inside it... And put some cages hanging (ala City of stix or Croc swamp hideout), with the king and queens in it, if I by their sets (my Fortrex should be already too crowded). Amazing Bricks Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Lance and Axl don't have an ultimate set. I do hope they will eventually get one. I did notice however that Lance has some sort of winged accessory in the "library" set. Maybe they're making that count for his ultimate set. I just want a cheap way to get Axl. I'm expecting a summer wave set that will have him included for $50. Quote

It seems that his shoulder pieces are the same as the Knight Bot pieces, so Its up to guess how those would connect Quote
