Its just dawned on me do you think Clay, Aaron, Macey, Lance and Axl will come with their respective hair pieces so you can display them without the helmets??

Not for this first wave. I'd expect the hair pieces through out it's second year of sets.

Check out what I found, could this be our first hint towards a Princess Macy minifigure? It's a pure dark red color of the series 12 princess hat/hair piece.

Macy does have that princess piece in the show, so there's still hope for her princess variant as a minifigure. It would make sense because of the series 15 queen dress piece.

Lego is getting so good at doing this : distributing minifigs (and items) between sets and wawes to maximise the expenses of consumers interested to collecte a theme. And I fear Nexo Knight will be the pinnacle of this marketing strategy. Even if you "just" buy the Fortrex, the Evil Mobile and Beast Master to have the 5 knights... One will be thinking, yes but maybe I need a King set ... and a Queen for my King... and the little girl and.... Or maybe the horse hoovers (3 in this wawe, maybe a yellow and a blue one in summer ?). And the shield, the weapons, the books, the robots, the red minions...

Wawe 1 look very complete, but I am sure they will succeed to make the summer wawe needed...

With a 70 euros bad guy base maybe ? (a volcano ? a prison ? with Axl ?)

a 120 euros flying castle with princess Macy in a dress ? (and to include Merlok will be the best way for them to make me buy it...)

but then keep a huge bad guys set for 2017 ? (they could postponed the king castle to 2017 to make the big summer wawe set a lava monster's one, but Lego love their big good guy sets for christmas...)

What else ? A ram ? a siege tower ? Battle packs ?

That makes sense what with marketing etc. Lego are a clever bunch like that.

Would love the kings castle to be a massive spacecrusier (it looks like one anyway in the fortrex box art)

Those bring me back, however which type of battle pack? The Star Wars ones which includes a vehicle and 4 minifigures or the castle ones which have 5 or more minifigures? I personally would rather see the star wars ones as they have more interest in me however I would be fine with both.

I highly doubt they will do battle packs that include much more than a single knight (if any) and a bunch of those blue armored goons. On the evil side, I'd say it's far more likely since the characters lend themselves to the idea better. But they would probably do both if they did them at all.

I would like to have battle packs with maybe one generic squire minifigure, one generic blue-armored knight and a robo-horse for him, plus two of the lava goblin thingies and two generic demons, one the one with the orange magma fissure muscles, the other one of the mohawk mooks.

If they did battle packs, I'd expect them to be like the 2013 Castle packs with 4 low-ranking minifigures and a very small build:

I'd like them as well. Hopefully I could get that armored evil minifigure without having to buy a set I'm not jazzed about.

Battle pack could be a 10 euros box, with 3 generic guys, a mini build and a fancy flag, like the chima one (lions. white bears...). Plus maybe a mini bots or red lava minions.... 70229_webfiles_prod_secimg_opt_744w.jpg?l.r2=-242883952

(sorry Shib, I just saw your reply)

I say it's 100% official because who else would use that hairpiece in red? I wonder what set she'll be in if she's not in the castle.

I'd think more like the Castle ones, since this is in theory a Castle theme, but you may be right since it's clearly an Action theme.

But yeah, I think they could be done more effectively as the Chima Tribe packs, and I'm now thinking that would actually be the style more likely to be released. I would hope they would include Lance in the Knights pack (since he doesn't have an Ultimate build) and the evil guy with armor in the villain pack (because I want cheaper access to that minifigure). They would probably use the trans red banners seen in Fortrex in place of the banner style in Chima, I would think.

Off topic, why was there never a Tiger tribe pack? Orange tigers, not the white saber-tooth tigers with torn zombie flesh and ice limbs.

Also, I fully expect a princess dress version of Macy, especially after seeing both the skirt piece in use with the CMF Queen, and the princess hat / hair that has been seen. It just gets more and more likely.

The medium azur (and some light azur ?) seems super present as well in the generic knights (king's men ?) and a lighter version in the queen's details but not on the king mecha set. I am wandering if we will get more of that later (on the king castle walls ?). These colors are kind of new for action themes (not in Ninjago or Chima). Maybe I will change my mind having the sets in my hand but it bugs me on a soldier, too plastic for my taste...

And by the way, why the head of the generic blue knights seems orange ? some kind of visor/screen/windshield?

Because they were special minifigs to sell bigger sets.

I do hope Lego will make battlepacks like Chima again. Best battlepacks ever and they sell pretty well.

I really hope we will get MAcy variant too! And don't forget there are 6 (i think) Ultimate sets! With fig, some add ons and 4 shield powers.

I see. Too bad the Tiger Tank looked ridiculous. Thanks for the information, I assumed it was a marketing strategy.

About the Ultimate sets, not all of them are Knights. Some are evil, like Lavaria. Too bad Lance won't be in one, but I do like the Library set enough to get him there.

Im going for Lances horse over the libary, but that said the libary can be added to the fortrex by the looks of things so may get that too.

you don't like Jestro evil mobile ???

Or you can wait 6 months, there will be probably 2 more sets with Lance this summer.... in 5 years you will probably have some 30 knights... (in 5 different armors...)

I like the library more. But I want the hover horse in the Mobile, I'll probably convert one.

I wonder, is this going to be a groundbreaking mindblowing success like Ninjago, or is it going to be like one of those themes Lego invests a LOT into and just ends selling "pretty good"? *coughChimacough* (not saying Chima wasn't a success, but..)

Medieval (Western) Fantasy certainly is liked by kids, but I fear it might lack the "exotic" cultural feeling Ninjago brings to the table with its direct references to Japanese and Chinese culture. This, at least, goes for Western markets, I don't know how Ninjago fares in Asian markets and obviously I don't know how NK is going to fare there.
