LEGO will make plenty of money selling Christmas presents this year, as with every year. And with the products they release at New Years, they will still make plenty of money.

Some will put off a Christmas git for a week to get a new set, or get a LEGO gift card for Christmas to use in the New Year. Some will just get the New Years releases later. Some will buy the New Year sets they have been reading about on EuroBricks and elsewhere on January 1st, even if they spent a lot of money on LEGO for Christmas.

LEGO does and likely will stick to that January 1st release date. At other times of the year, they have put things out a bit early, but I've never seen the LEGO Stores in my area put things out early at New Years. Now Target, Toys R Us, and other retailers might be a different story.

I think it's a smart tactic because right after they got people to buy a bunch of LEGO as Christmas gifts, they release a bunch of new LEGO to make people come back and spend more quickly.

As far as Nexo Knights is concerned, I'm certain to buy at least 1 set on January 1st, as I'll be there at the LEGO store to buy up new CMFs and possibly more.

I can't remember the last winter wave in the uk that we didn't have by start of December. The key thing here is not just making money but establishing the new theme. This would seem the best time of year to do that. They may stick to January 1st, but who knows.

They make plenty of money at the moment but they don't have such a short memory as to not remember a time when they werent so profitable.

If you find a store that has them out early, but chances are slim on that.

I found CMF Series 14 early at Target and Walgreens and was able to get just about everything I wanted. Some stores told me they weren't supposed to be on sale yet, others said it wouldn't ring up and asked me to tell them the price so they could enter it manually.

I found the C-3PO Polybag at Toys R Us the other day, and they said it wasn't supposed to be out until Sunday (today), but the manager let me complete my transaction and removed the rest from the display.

So it's possible you'll find Nexo Knights early, but it may be hard to find a store that has them out on the shelves, and harder to find a store that will let you buy them. Also, it probably won't be a LEGO Store (although the LEGO Store near me was selling Scooby Doo before the street date, and when my friend phoned and complained to Customer Service that the Mystery Machine was sold out before the street date, they gave him bonus points as an apology, and free shipping on his online purchase of the set).

Best of luck to you!

Any chance I can snatch Fortrex in late/early December?

If someone gets ahold of the Target DCPI, in December you could use the Brickseek inventory checker to see if your Target has any.

Last year, I did the same with a lot of new January 2015 sets...

Any chance I can snatch Fortrex in late November/early December?

Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread and it bears repeating. January is a desolate wasteland for toy sales and the first quarter of the year is usually the worst quarter for toy manufacturers/retailers. If toy manufacturers/retailers can capture sales in December vs. January, they will do so at every opportunity. Toys R Us are historically the biggest culprit of this. If they get their January shipments in December, they put them on the shelves. They have done this in the past with Lego as well as other toy lines that were stated for January-February releases. And Lego, historically, has turned a blind eye to this. As Lego has stated the official release date is January 1st, it is reasonable to assume that all stores will have shipments delivered to them at least a few days and perhaps a few weeks prior.

So, to answer your question (and provide some content during a "slow news" period for KN  ), I would handicap your chances this way:

Late November: 0% regular retail (25% that independent Asian market retailers will get an early shipment and put it out, so you could get on Ebay for 2X retail plus shipping. This happened with the 2015 winter wave of Ninjago where 4-5 sets were released to independent toy shops in South Korea and half a dozen sellers were putting them up on Ebay).

Early December See Above, but Ebay availability probably at 40% now.

Mid December: 40% regular retail - TRU most likely and at this point, probably readily available on Ebay with pricing as above.

Late December: 75% regular retail - online as above, 25% chance Lego stores break the street date

So really, a lot depends on your budget and how soon you want/need the sets. Given the above, unless Lego puts out a hard street date to all retailers and they all abide by it, I feel very strongly that TRU will have the sets out by mid-December.

The Nexo Knights website has some new pics from the TV series (or at least, pics I hadn't seen before)

Thank you very much Aanchir. Quality of the computer "drawings" is super nice. The Knighton Castle doesn't look like a set (much less than on the Fortrex box)

If Knighton Castle is a summer set it will most likely be condensed like the Lion Chi Fortress or the Flying Pheonix Fire temple with only the most important parts of it being in the set.

A rogue Knight would be awesome nothing makes a better bad guy than one of your own turned bad like Zane for instance.

The last picture!!! :iamded_lol: KK2, anybody?

Also, it's quite clear that Knighton Castle is not a spaceship, as some here have theorized.

I dunno the centre piece could still convert to some sort of flying craft.....but thats prob just me wishful thinking.

The black knight could be Al Berd, Paul Harm or Morr Ningstar

A second girl at some point would be nice. A girly and chic pink knight with blond hair would make sense. Mean at beginning then nicer. With a whipe ? (Vip ? Weepy ?) Or a Cimitar (Simi Tar)

Lol are those actual names from the upcoming show or are you making those names up, Christophe? The names are very good!

That castle looks amazing, I'm actually getting excited about TLG performing open wallet surgery on me with another theme! :cry_sad:

I am making them up (still angry the Aaron is not Kross Bowsomething). But there isn't so many new weapons they can pick for probable new knights, so who knows....

Here's hoping for a Knighton Castle set. Something like the front gate with a small portion of the walls on its side, plus the big citadel in the back.

Yes, a proper castle should happen. And probably this one (if he doesn't get destroyed and rebuild), with, as you said the cool door and the tower/palace (wich is a bit dull) but if someone from Lego asked me to make one based on this photo I will not be inspired... (or maybe there is a big secret weapon hiden inside ?).

The Chima big lion head one was more striking...

And yes a spaceship palace (a Spalace ?) would (have) be perfect to complement the tanky Fortrex.... Or maybe they want to keep the whole Space concept for a 2017 crossover Space Cow-boy big bang theme :) (after 2016 Sci-Fi Knight and the Ninja Pirates :)

The teaser site has been updated again it has a map of Knighton and the different areas. There is a demon called Whiparella.....wonder what weapon she uses lol.

didn't find her, google did help, but not sure it's the same one : whiparella is a Single 31-year-old SugarBaby located in Forest Hill,Virginia looking for a SugarDaddy.

Lavaria is ok (sorry photo is a bit big)

So Lavaria IS a woman! The prelims looked kinda grainy but I thought I saw eyelashes and lips!

She also had wings and spider legs though, maybe that's a small creature though

Lavaria's pretty cool, although it's a very odd combination of "evil" and "sexy". Her Ultimate form is apparently more monstrous, though, so she might look better that way.

Which hood did she use? Was it the cloak hood or Beast Master's?
