CM4Sci Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Lavaria's pretty cool, although it's a very odd combination of "evil" and "sexy". Her Ultimate form is apparently more monstrous, though, so she might look better that way. Which hood did she use? Was it the cloak hood or Beast Master's? Normal Jedi hood. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) I don't like there is too much full red bad guys (my favorite so far are Jestro and Moltor the black monster). But I am happy Jestro has lot of lieutenants, and TLC did apparently a good job to personalize them (ok, Ultra agents vilains are much diverse and cooler... but for NK they have to keep some bad guys concepts for later and keep a strong lava team coherence...) 8BrickMario Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Ultra Agents was the exception. Most action themes have themed villains designed under the same concept. Quote
dannallcorn Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Sorry my bad if you change the region settings to uk english you get 5 triangles instead of 3 and she is the one in the forest....couldnt attach pic as too large. Quote

ChristopheQ Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 and Flama will be even better with probably her little friend in a set ? Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Whoa, she's awesome! I love her face, and she'd be a great place to reuse Infearno's helmet. Wave 2? PLEASE? Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Wave 2? PLEASE? I would say it's 95% certain... Whoa, she's awesome! I love her face, and she'd be a great place to reuse Infearno's helmet. With a lighter version of Infearno hat ? Edited November 3, 2015 by ChristopheQ Quote

CM4Sci Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Wow, those both look awesome! I dunno if they'll be in Wave 2, we'll see. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 There are three different Scurriers. Two in the Fortrex, and one in Clay's Blade Cruiser. I really want Whiparella and Flama in the next wave, but we'll have to wait and see. Quote

They are too cool and well designed to be only in the cartoon... And 2017 should be an other kind of monster don't you guys think ? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I don't care about Flama, but Whiperella... ooh. Wow. I definitely need her. I'm betting she is an exclusive to the flagship set of next wave, though, so I have my doubts that I will actually get her. Lavaria is great! Glad to have a cheaply aquired female villain. That's not a very common sentence at all. Good job, Lego. I like that the gender ratio seems to be evening out on the villains side. Nice. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Flama would work with the Ultra Agents flame headpiece. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Each storyline in an action theme usually gets resolved in two waves, so I'd expect another wave of lava monsters (hopefully including these two) before the theme shifts gears. Seeing that set list, it's guaranteed that they'll be in those sets somewhere. I gotta say, those two ladies are much hotter than LEGO females usually get. BrickJagger Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) http://imgur.com/BcrlLhj Summer set list from Brickset? Holy....... Fourteen more sets? Looks like ten regular ones and four Ultimates. EDIT: Looks like someone found the "Knight Cycle" in the wild..... http://brickset.com/sets/30371-1/Knight-s-Cycle Edited November 3, 2015 by BrickJagger Quote

I also appreciate how classily they did it. My fear is that they'll give her clothes or something lame like that. The chest design works gorgeously. It's subtle yet clear. Nude, but non obscene. Classy. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

8BrickMario Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 It's an interesting approach. They're not wearing anything, but there isn't anything that needs to be censored, and their bodies mimic clothing. I hope they have the nerve to produce them as physical minifigures. Aren't demons typically associated with fire and lust, anyway? Quote

Aren't demons typically associated with fire and lust, anyway? I am impressed by how out of their comfort zone Lego is going with this theme, and I hope it pays off. I don't care for the plot or any of the associated media, or the overly goofy vehicles, or the anachronistic future knights that are neither space, nor castle angle, but, some of these figure designs are really interesting and well conceived. Risky, but not risqué. I would love to see more like these "lava monsters" in the future! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) They're really pushing it here, which I love. "Technically naked female demons? Nah, they're just lava monsters summoned by the Necronom-I mean, Book of Monsters!" Edited November 3, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote

Exetrius Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) I'm honestly blown away by Whiparella... My goodness! Shut up and take my money! Btw, it looks like she has the Serpentine 'legs'. Actually, all of the female villains look great, and so many! And so badass! So now, most of us will buy these sets ' for the "plot" ' Edited November 3, 2015 by Exetrius Quote
