CM4Sci Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Oh, and this new Nexo Knights book sure sounds... interesting. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Aren't those just armor? They're silver in the set, so they're clearly not his actual hands. They seem to be light orange in the picture above. I mean for the 4 normal size knights (in the sets and in the cartoon), helmet and gloves are the same colors (Aaron : green helmet, green gloves). But Axl hands are silver in the set and yellow in the cartoon... Edited November 3, 2015 by ChristopheQ Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Oh, and this new Nexo Knights book sure sounds... interesting. Those girl lava/snake/spider(?) villains look amazing. Beast Master and Lavaria will be on my to-buy list. Quote
dannallcorn Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 52 seconds in to the way to battle trailer on the teaser site. Its a blink and you miss it kinda thing. Quote
DraikNova Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Okay, those are some of the awesomest villain designs LEGO has made. That lava pattern on Whiperella's tail looks like it'll translate excellently to physical form, although I wonder how they'll make her whips. Hopefully they won't just be the Indiana Jones ones again or just chains. And Flama's mad toothy grin is a cute touch. The possibility of a recolored Infearno flame is nice too. Really hope those two will shop up in sets. And those little lava ball spiders are just the most adorable thing ever. I want a hundred. This theme may take priority over Ninjago for me next year. BrickFit26 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 These pictures are really exciting to see. I'm starting to like the villains way more than the good guys now. Quote
PenPlays Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Oh, and this new Nexo Knights book sure sounds... interesting. Wait... so this is a reboot of a previous theme, then. Quote
dannallcorn Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) Just been looking over the pics i saved prior to removal and i just thought wouldnt it be cool if the centre piece of Clays car could come off and be an ultimate sword for the Kings MechKnight. Edited November 4, 2015 by dannallcorn Quote
Rayskull Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) That's a thought, but wait the kings mech already has that type of sword. any idea what's in his left hand...its a vehicle. I see a lot of watch towers on the map, I hope we get one of those....unless the library is already considered one. Edited November 4, 2015 by Rayskull Quote
dannallcorn Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Yeah thats true but maybe in the series what with scale etc it maybe viable. It looks like a tent shaped escape pod/jet/shield. Watch towers would be really cool or at least battlements akin to the small walls you get with the Chima battle packs. Quote
Exetrius Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Just been looking over the pics i saved prior to removal and i just thought wpuldnt it be cool if the centre piece of Clays car could come off and be an ultimate sword for the Kings MechKnight. Well, I think that it comes off, but as being a plane instead. I think this thing is one of those multiple-vehicles-in-one sets. Quote

Yeah that makes sense i did think it was jet like but i thought i saw somewhere it wasnt but hey. Be awesome if it does though. Quote
x105Black Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Yeah, I think Ninjago's got some great concepts, but they use the same concept for every enemy and thus reduce the uniqueness of each figure. These guys are distinctive, but not too much that you can't tell they work together. Ninjago had skeletons, ghosts, and serpents, NK has fat little devils, magma men, and snake-tailed naked lava ladies. They're all lava, what's the distinction? I suppose there are small differences in the minifigures, but... I don't like there is too much full red bad guys Me either. I guess next years sets will have a different theme. While I liked the bad guys at first, it's becoming overkill on the bright red (and yellow) lava people. That lava pattern on Whiperella's tail looks like it'll translate excellently to physical form, although I wonder how they'll make her whips. I would guess they'll use the spiky vines that the Plant Monster from CMF Series 14 had. Anyways, overall these shots are interesting, but they haven't made me appreciate the Nexo Knights theme any more. Maybe when I see some of those Wave 2 sets, I will feel differently. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 They're all lava, what's the distinction? I suppose there are small differences in the minifigures, but... All of the named characters are very different to me. Moltor's hardened lava with glowing lava throughout, Whiparella has a snake tail and hardened "garments", Flama's the Human Torch of the baddies. Beat Master and Lavaria are more normal looking, but they're okay. I think the minion-type baddies are boring, but the named leaders all look distinctive yet tied-together, but I can see why the red seems a bit too much. I think it's a good balance, from too-similar villains to villains that don't look like they're working together. Anyhow, this won't last more than two waves. The villains will almost certainly change. Quote
telaruhn Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) If Ninjago is any indicator, the lava monsters won't be the only enemies the Nexo Knights will face. I'm sure the current enemies are based on whatever the Book of Monsters is doing to manipulate Jestro, what with the book saying "make MORE monsters!" and Jestro saying "I'm GOOD at being BAD..." LOL. That part in the video made me groan. Maybe there's more sections in the book for more kinds of monsters, or the book will eventually be destroyed and LEGO can come up with different enemies and a better plot device... ChristopheQ Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) Does someone have an idea/seen a photo of the Ultimate Monster Masher ? Which concept, color... (dark brown or dark red pretty please, some unlikely dark purple details will be fine with me as well)... thank you ! He's got a propeller with chains on each end. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Looks like someone found the "Knight Cycle" in the wild..... http://brickset.com/.../Knight-s-Cycle I asked Huw at Brickset if he could provide any info as to the origin of this pic. He replied that he believed it was probably a one-off set that was stolen from one of TLG's European manufacturing facilities. I tend to agree with him for the simple fact that if this was available at retail, there would probably be a few copies floating around on Ebay. Also, given that 24 hours has passed since the photo was published, there probably would have been other sightings reported by now. So much for a very early release! I wonder when we will get official set descriptions, in-box photos and North American pricing? It has to be sometime soon I would think...? Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Monster Masher is Beast Master. He's got a propeller with chains on each end. thank you CM4Sci. Regarding the price, Airjitsu are 10 as well. And the flyer and handle are big and cool. Plus weapons and stuff. A 10 euros set is usualy a main character, his 100 pieces vehicle and an opponant (Kai Fire mech, Spyclop infiltration, Space swarmer...) for NK it's more Lego dimension pricing :) Ok weapons and shields are cool, but a opponant would be fair for the price... Robert8 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Whoa those female villains look really really cool There a lot of minor villains now. I wonder if they will be the real villains instead of Jestro. He seems kind of pointless now Quote
Actor Builder Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 My guess is that Jestro is just a tool used by the Book to release demons. He'll probably have little control over the other bad guys, except maybe the lave-blobs. They seem gullible enough to follow a joker. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Waiting for a plot twist where the Book somehow gets rid of Jestro, because the Book just does it all by itself, Jestro doesn't need to be there in order for it to work. Quote
BrickJagger Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 Whoa those female villains look really really cool There a lot of minor villains now. I wonder if they will be the real villains instead of Jestro. He seems kind of pointless now Well, since Jestro (sort of) controls the Book of Monsters and the Book of Monsters controls the monsters themselves, I guess there's a loose chain of command going on, right? Jestro is important because: A: We have to have a mandatory "origins" episode to show how he turned bad in order to waste some time B: How many kids want to pretend that the big bad guy is a........book?
