CM4Sci Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Its the show version of Jestro's staff, which is made of multiple pieces in actual LEGO form: http://cache.lego.co...d=2400&hei=1800 Which looks way better, I dunno why they don't use that in the show. Quote
Chilly_Productions Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Thats from the 2016 European calender. Do you mean one of the store calendars, or the free wall calendar from shop@lego? Quote
Still Raindrop Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Nexo Knights 2017 is 1984 confirmed. Mutant farm animals could be great or terrible; that is, they could be done poorly Orwell. (That was a stretch, I know) While I doubt we'll see Mushlord in the plastic, I really hope we do. Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 So, regarding the story, Merlok 2.0 and other stuff... Merlok sacrifices himself to protect Clay when Jestro gets the Book of Monsters and attacks Merlok's Library. He becomes Merlok 2.0 after using a big spell that explodes the library sending his books and Jestro in the outside of the kingdom. The books in the sets are from the explosion of the library, and Jestro and the Book of Monsters go around and collect them. The BoM eats (yes, eats) the books to gain power. Quote
Zergos Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Is there anything else you could tell us about the summer wave LordofDragonss? I'm very excited as it is, but would love to know more. :D I'll be waiting for the ultimate axl  Quote
Aanchir Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Oh my goodness... I have kept saying that whether I would collect the sets would depend on how much I liked the story. I guess after seeing the two-part premiere of the series today, there's no longer any doubt in my mind that I'll be collecting Nexo Knights! The series has so much action and humor and heart. It spoke to me WAY more than the first three episodes of Legends of Chima did. So yeah, seems to be off to a good start. :) I wonder if we'll get an "Ultimate Ava" set in the summer like the "Ultimate Robin" we're getting in the first wave. :) Quote
Robert8 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Any potential summer sets from what you saw in this episode? Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Any potential summer sets from what you saw in this episode? No, hardly any vehicles. Quote
BrickJagger Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Any potential summer sets from what you saw in this episode? Wel, Jestro conjured up two big monsters (Who seem to be friends). One was Sparkz and the other said his name as well, I just missed it. He's pretty much a lock to be in a summer set. Quote

Something more like Ninjago, but with a less complicated storyline! Also, Ultimate Ava would be great! What's Jestro's official accent? Some stuff has him Scottish, but others make him American. Also, I'm now waiting for the 2017 news. Forget the summer wave, I want to know if the sticker book was showing us anything real! The biggest piece of evidence against Mushlord and Rafflesia-head is why reveal them in a sticker book? While they're excellent designs that I'd love to own, it seems more likely that they'd just use filler characters. I hate logic, because they're some of the best-looking designs I've seen in a while. Just judging by your new profile pic, I can tell that somebody's already on the 2017 hype train! Be prepared to wait a long, long time before we hear anything new about Mushlord and co. In the meantime we can be annoyed that more summer details haven't been leaked, despite people having seen them. Quote

Robert8 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Those Mushroom people look like they could be easily translated into real minifigures And that dagger with the wavy blade would be amazing! Quote
Actor Builder Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) they could be done poorly Orwell. I respect this. I really want A "Fairy Story" year of NEXO Knights now... EDIT: By "A Fairy Story" I was referring to the subtitle of George Orwell's "Animal Farm: A Fairy Story." Edited December 14, 2015 by Actor Builder Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Oh my gosh! I've been wanted a "Once Upon at time-esque" theme forever, even before the show came out! Quote
BrickJagger Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 I love how everyone hated this theme when it first came out and now its well on its way to becoming a fan favorite..... Quote
PenPlays Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) I love how everyone hated this theme when it first came out and now its well on its way to becoming a fan favorite..... That's 'cause all of the Classic Castle Collectors have already left the building, those that continue to dislike it, at least. Those that remain to complain are trying to keep themselves from spending money, even though they know they love it. They will learn. ChristopheQ Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Any potential summer sets from what you saw in this episode? I checked on youtube. They spent lot's of time in their training room, but it will probably not be a set as we get a mini version in the fortrex. Yet Macy had to fight giants (mech)bots (similar to king's bot but giants...), could be made in a set (not very probable). NB : my fear are confirmed so far, the fight will be boring. Some monsters, moaaaar monster, ohh there is too much, what to do, ohh Merlok give us super cool Nexo Power, we won !!! NB The power in the show is well display/"marketed", zoom on the design, name of the power ("dragon of justice) etc... to let the "child" identify it and crave for it it. Robert8 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Some sort of training room set would be neat Quote
Mr Greeble Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Any speculations on who the dark armored guy is? He's got a snake on his chest... Nexo Serpentine Chima power! Crossover confirmed! Quote
ChristopheQ Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Any speculations on who the dark armored guy is? He's got a snake on his chest... Nexo Serpentine Chima power! Crossover confirmed! He is on the lava villains page, so we could assume he is with them. And cold lava can be black, maybe Magmar ? But no red at all surprise me... The series has so much action and humor and heart. It spoke to me WAY more than the first three episodes of Legends of Chima did. So yeah, seems to be off to a good start. :) I went to see the show after your positive review, and I don't regret it, but oh boy, I wouldn't have use such positive word. Even my 7 years old find it silly Fun but silly. Maybe not as childish as Chima, but maybe more than the few ninjago I have seen. I hope it will be less simplistic later on, as there is some good potential on the storyline (Jestro, the Queen, Macy, Lance...)... (sorry to be of topic) Quote
x105Black Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Oh man, this could be great! It has been just too darn long since the Castle theme had a big bad guy castle. I hope it still has a real castle shape, as opposed to a gigantic lava-sauced Jestroland If only it was a real Castle theme... That Mushroom Person is...My favorite thing right now. I love it, and I need it. I NEED IT. I completely agree, and these look way more medieval and appealing than anything in the first wave. Also, on the sticker page there is a dark knight in black. He looks fantastic. I still think the knights in general look terrible, and the use of technology is deplorable, but the new villains shown in this artwork will definitely get me to make purchases. I really hope I don't have to wait for 2017 to get them. As much as I don't like a lot of Nexo Knights stuff (mostly because of the heroes), I really want to like it (because it's the closest thing to Castle we're getting). These new villains are definitely turning me around. Quote

The child doesn't have to "crave for" the Nexo Powers that appear in the episodes, because the show is literally giving the child those Nexo Powers for free. The reason it zooms in on the design isn't to market it, but rather to give kids an opportunity to scan the power right from their TV into the Merlok 2.0 app. I sort of wonder whether the Nexo Powers from the show will even appear as shields in the sets, or if they'd rather keep those exclusive as an incentive to watch the show.... I guess we'll see. I also think it's a bit early to assume all fights in the show will follow exactly this formula. Quote

I will have to hide my phone I also think it's a bit early to assume all fights in the show will follow exactly this formula. I have seen all Dragon Ball fights, I know how these things goes, fight, good guy being overwhelm oh no, hopla super sayan mode for the win Quote
DraikNova Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Definitely hoping we get some sort of piece that'll allow us to make those spider versions of the ball monsters. They'd make great mook alternatives to minifigures and probably cost less plastic at the same time. Also, apparently both Whiparella and the flame-headed monster who's name I can't remember use the snake tail, rather than just Whiparella. Definitely interested in the decrepit-looking black knight figure seen as well. Quote
