Hopefully in 2017 the new enemy faction will be more intimidating.Because currently those lava creatures, especially the small ones, look silly and childish rather than frightening.

Motor is possibly the scariest Lego figure of all time.

We basically already know who next year's bad guys are, and unless you're afraid of plants, you're going to be disappointed.

Well thus far from what I've seen I'm not impressed(regarding the whole theme). And as much as I try to like it I simply can't,this is why I hope that there will more interesting enemies, not necessarily scary or frightening, but interesting. If the next enemy faction will be plant people(based on that concept art) then count me in.

I like how Merck 2.0 looks in that picture of what could possibly Jester's castle. I'd love for him to be an actual figure with all translucent parts. And I LOVE the hover horse that comes with Jester's Evil Mobile. Love that hover horse.

I think TLG could make a Merlok 2.0, but the only parts that would be transparent though are the arms, the head and skirt, the rest would probably be orange.

P.S. can anyone tell who the shadow on the top upper right is in the picture with the castle is, because so far I can make out Jestro, BoM, Beast Master, Scurriers and Moltar, but I can't tell who that last guy is ?

Wow these are fun just picked up a couple of baddies, did not think I'd like these this much.

Infernox is the best way to get a hover horse I think!

I agree. I don't know why people would be willing to sacrifice minifigures in their sets to have more of these silly things.

Good question. There's Flama, Jestro, some Scurriers, the Book, and Beast Master (don't see Moltor). But the guy in the corner's interesting. He looks like he's wearing a head scarf or maybe a new piece.

I think that's magmar using that new bandana piece from this year's "Pirates" sets.

If you guys want a normal looking Jestro, get the evil mobile. If you want something new, just wait.

I like these, "silly things" I have more than enough minifigures, but none of the scurriers or globlins. Also I love how they made a more dynamic small enemy(i.e. as compared to Ninjago Shriekers and other static pieces). They are like mini-monstrous-minifigs. With their own personality to each one to boot!

They're cute and funny, for one thing! Minifigures can also be cute and funny in their own right, but I find the Scurriers and Squirebots more charming than the generic good and evil footsoldier figs (King's Soldiers, Flame Throwers, Crust Smashers, and Ash Attackers).

I wonder who will be the first person to design a Nexo Knights chess set with Scurriers and Squirebots as pawns. Come to think of it, I wonder if LEGO has any plans to release an official Nexo Knights chess set at any point. There are definitely enough characters to choose from! Or at least, by this summer there surely will be.

I wouldn't like that. I want him to be all translucent. I think it could be done. He doesn't even have to be translucent, just the right colors to match his new form, but I doubt that he will actually be made into minifigure form. :sceptic:

I think so too, but I want to collect them all.

Man, I hadn't even thought about the possibility of a Nexo Knights chess set! The scurriers and squirebots really are perfect for pawns. I hope we'll see one before the year is up!

Only thing is the heroes are made up of mostly unique characters.

Pawn- Squirebot or Soldiers

King- King

Queen- Queen

Knight- Clay and Lance on hover horses

Rook- Arron and Macy in Mini Fortrex,

Bishop- Merlin...uhoh Maybe Hologram Merlin and Physical Merlin.

We still haven't seen Clay's I hope it's a set by itself... In my dreams!

We basically already know who next year's bad guys are, and unless you're afraid of plants, you're going to be disappointed.

Since some people are afraid of spiders, which are pretty much the arthropod equivalent to a dog, I wouldn't dismiss the idea that some people are afraid of plants (or fungi, or possibly swamp creatures in general) so easily. Also, one of the characters we've seen so far seems to be based on a plant known for smelling like rotten flesh to attract flies.

Also, I love the idea of a Nexo Knights chess set. I doubt we'll get one this year, though. Maybe next year. If so, I hope the edges are decorated with moss and stuff on the swamp side, and maybe they could replace the white tiles with sand green and the black ones with dark green on that half of the board?

I think they'd be little bug-eyed creatures of similar size to scurriers, but with thinner bodies and minifig-hand-bar-sized arms, plus big wings and maybe oversized fly-like halteres made from ball joints.

The Globlin equivalent would just be a ball of rotting swamp matter.

Judging by the ambiguous creature with three tooth discs also visible in the picture, it seems more generally swamp-themed than focused on plants and fungi alone.

For a swamp theme, I think the scurrier equivalent could be like some kind of seed, spore, or nut creature. In-story they would eventually grow into larger plant-men. I just think it'd be cute to have an evil, walking seed. Maybe with a hold on the top of the head to attach various plant pieces for some variety.

Also, can't remember if I already posted this, but count me in for a chess set. So long as it's good.

Oh, and I should be getting my first Nexo Knights set tomorrow at the Lego Store! Time for my annual blow-my-Christmas-money-on-Lego New Year's Extravaganza. I'll probably pick up the Rumble Blade or Robo Horse. Depending on what else I decide to get.
