Let's wait to see a set list that is in English so we get the actual set names and hopefully a better idea of the sets contents for all of the sets.

I'm really surprised that they included a $10-ish set in the summer wave, but good for Lego for providing consumers with a wide range of sets in both waves.

Looks like Axl is once again exclusive to a high price-point set, but at least there is the Ultimate set to acquire him relatively inexpensively.

As for set contents, based on what we know and the list above:

70318 - Small villain vehicle. Hopefully not too similar to the Chaos Catapult, but sounds like it might be...

70319 - AKA Thunder Mace - Macy's vehicle from the App

70320 - AKA Aero Flyer V2 - Flyer for Aaron...I guess a bigger version of the "Flying Crossbow" from Fortrex...hopefully it will be better than that model

70321 - Magmar's vehicle...siege engine type of vehicle, perhaps the one shown in the app

70322 - AKA Tower Carrier - Axl's vehicle - looks like a big set - not sure what it could be...taking the name literally (Tower Carrier is correct since that's from Lego's website) It could either be a mobile tower with some sort of "deployer" type vehicle(s) on or inside it. But that might be a bit too similar to the Fortrex. What if it was a vehicle that had some kind of a deploy-able turret. So the vehicle carries the tower vs. the tower carries the vehicle?

70323 - The aforementioned volcano castle

Wasn't there supposed to be a retail exclusive as well? Anyone seen the sets in a retail catalog that can provide actual descriptions?

I think it will be the best way to make it different from the Fortrex. But at the same time will prevent to make a proper siege tower to attack the (volcano) castle... Then Magmar siege vehicle could be a smaller siege tower... but more probably the one shown at the end of the knights video...

Regarding the theory that Orange Flama could be ultimate Flama, I would love that, but it's a bit stange if the show keep showing ultimate Flama... By the way I would love an ultimate bluish flama !!

Well, we don't know how many scenes those screenshots were chosen from. It could be that there are plenty of scenes where the show does use the non-ultimate version, but the people compiling the screenshots for the website just didn't use any screenshots from those scenes.

Unlikely, but could be as we only saw Flama picturing fighting (where her ultimate form make more sense).

It's not really totally related to the sets, but since we've learned that we will not in fact be receiving an Ultimate Ava, I've been trying to come up with a design for one. There are a couple of issues to deal with for that, though.

The first is that no armor or neck brackets will really fit with her hairpiece in the sets. The easiest way to get around this is to swap her hairpiece with another hair or headgear. I'm currently leaning toward the bob cut (used by Nya in Ninjago and appearing in Dark Brown in several sets including the Fairground Mixer). It has similar bangs to her hair in the show and other sets, and while it's shorter in both the front and back, her hair in the show is already shorter in the front and an armor piece like Ultimate Robin uses would obscure the back anyway, allowing you to imagine that she's just tucked it away.

The harder challenge is coming up with what the actual content of the set would be. All of the Ultimate sets feature over-the-top armaments evocative of their weapons of choice, but Ava doesn't actually seem to HAVE a weapon of choice. So I have to sort of feel out what her trajectory in the story is and where it will lead her. The bios on the website seem to suggest that she'll have conflicts with Merlok over whether magic or technology is superior, and that character dynamic combined with her name (Ava Prentice) suggests to me that she might end up studying under Merlok directly. That leads me to the concept of a "technomage", potentially with some sort of hi-tech staff.

But even that presents problems of its own. Most of the other Ultimate knights have weaponry that is functional in some respect. What do you do with a staff that doesn't feel repetitive? Most of the good launcher designs have already been taken by other sets. Also, if she does end up pursuing a different course of study, does she wear armor like the others? Originally (before I settled on the technomage concept), I had taken armor for granted, since as a freshman, she could wear the same silver armor as Ultimate Robin. But notably, unlike Robin or the other knights, she doesn't have an animal emblem. It's possible that she'll get one at some point, but for now, the cutout in the armor piece would look strange over her default torso. I could give her a neck bracket like Ultimate Beast Master, but that's more limiting than the great connection points on the armor and on top of that it would no longer hide the back of her hair so nicely.

I haven't really come up with any finalized ideas but I figured I'd share. At the very least, I'm glad this new theme is inspiring my own MOCs and concepts.

Ooh i like the look of the new villains. Ninjago never did it for me, but i find this theme surprisingly fresh. If i was a kid and had all the time of the world i would want this theme to play with all day every day. I like the scurriers, the globlins, the books (especially the book of monsters) and the minifigbaddies especially moltor, flama, whipperella and beast master, the big monsters not so (smallhead and bananahorns),

General Magmar has a jestro belt. I read somewhere Jestro will be somewhat different (red/black) than the first wave. Could this be him? (i don't follow this theme that much so forgive me for being wrong :-p)

If you mean "is Magmar Jestro?", then no. The emblem also appears on the Evil Mobile's banner.

Currently I'm trying to stick with concepts I can actually realize with regular parts. So I want to stick with Ava's normal fig parts. With that in mind, the main way to do a robe-based design is to use a cape, and that in turn would severely limit my options for back accessories.

My current idea is a back-mounted giant staff that can angle forward and spin like a drill. I'd love to maybe work in a cloak of some sort, but am not sure how best to go about that. I'm also thinking of giving her a hood as alternate equipment—a wizard or witch hat would be better, but I'd rather have something that can convincingly look like she wears it over her hair.

I was expecting to be able to make a new sigfig with these guys along with an army, but I certainly wasn't expecting to find a LEGO figure named after me!

I've waited for this for so long! Finally, I'm in a LEGO set! (Well, they added one letter too much but I'll accept it, okay? I'll let them off with a warning this time... let it be the alternate, slightly longer version of my name... )

And they made me look so cool. Looks like I've found my new future sigfig!

I would go for some oversized computer backpack, with antennas, on wheels/mini tank track/jetpacks ?, with a maximum of tans-purple or trans-dark pink

trans-purple chains ? stars ? (being both magical and girly symbol) (or pinkish heart, flower... manga style, Ava showing her secret garden while ultimate...)

a trans-purple 6x6 inverted radar web for a shield or were she could fly could be too big...

a transpurple (energetic) oval shield ?

a transpurple magnifying glass ?

transpurple giant flame on her reactor backpack ?

trans-dark pink dish 2x2 inverted ?

trans dark pink magic wand ?

trans dark pink 5 points crystal at the end of a weapon/missile

for the play feature, maybe flick missiles ? or a (trans-purple) Zamor sphere launcher ? an old bionicle one, coz it's smaller maybe. Or with a holder on top if your are not afraid of the size

or a disc launcher on her backpack, (higher than the head)

or a moving trans-purple hero factory spiked ball, like the one on Infernox shoulders

What's the point exactly of counting only minifig characters? If it's posability that matters to you, the bots have the same posability as a normal minifigure, while a Scurrier has two out of the seven points, If it's about the amount of plastic, it's about two bots or one Scurrier and a globlin to a fig, while Axl is effectively two minifigures. Customizability wise, the Scurriers are pretty poor, allowing only for swapping of horns (two points compared to a minifigures eleven or so) and maybe adding something to their heads, while the bots have ten.

Style. There is a variation in the types of characters here. The original poster that I had quoted was calling them all minifigures. That is a fallacy.

I like her, but I wish in that picture we saw of the actual figure that she had more printing on her tail. I really like the ultimates. They look more cool.
