DraikNova Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Sounds really nice! I hope to see something like this: I really hope it's not like that. I had that set, and quite honestly, it was a pile of junk. I hope the volcano base has more of the compact design style of the Fortrex, rather than being just another facade. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I hear ya, man. I'm really kinda tired of single walled buildings. I understand it's done for price reasons, but dang. I wanna see a wrap around buold that folds out to reveal a fun interior. Quote

If I remember correctly, a well informed forumer hinted it will not be a proper Volcano (transforming into a base like the Fortrex). Edit : fund this answer from amazing brick to you DraikNova, on 01 January 2016 - 10:11 PM, said: Obviously it won't be a full mountain, but I'm really going to be dissapointed if this means another Agents-style volcano facade rather than a more imposing, circular, crater-like design. That's where the new city sub theme comes in handy ;) Anyways, it's still going to have volcano elements in it. Edited January 6, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
DraikNova Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I read that, but that still doesn't mean it has to be just another facade. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I read that, but that still doesn't mean it has to be just another facade. Would you be happy with 2 or 3 sides ? Like the Vampyre castle ? I think it's a very good compromise. @4.50 4 sides like the Fortrex would make for a small castle while folded, so I guess it's unlikely. According the small picture we have it should be high, and "tortuous". Which make me think of City of Stiix. Hopefuly less flat thanks to the 20$ premium... http://i.imgur.com/Rb2zh86.jpg Quote
frog4gators Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I am not a fan of this theme as it pertains to the vehicles or good guys (knights). I am more of a purist when it comes to a true castle theme. These bad guy though are some of the best designs LEGO has ever done in my opinion. I will be bricklinking all of these guys. Most of the villains I don't care too much for, but there are a few that I am very fond of. The Knights are too techno (and their Ultimate versions are too Rock Candy) for me. The King and Queen are decent minifigures, though. Quote

Basically, it'd be like a better-executed version of the Chi Temple. Edited January 6, 2016 by DraikNova Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Speaking of cool Volacano base (a MOC from W. Navarre) http://www.brothers-brick.com/2016/01/06/beware-the-greye-cliff-fortress/ Quote
PenPlays Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Sounds really nice! I hope to see something like this: *Image of Lego Agents Volcano Base* If I recall amazingbricks (if I remember correctly, it was one of are user that are commonly well informed) described Jestro's Volcano Base as a combination of the aforementioned Volcano Base and Vladek's Dark Fortress from the second year of Knight's Kingdom (2) sets. A base that's a combination of the too best bases of all time? Yes please!! Edited January 6, 2016 by Penkid11 Quote
DraikNova Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) To be honest, I wouldn't mind so much if it resembled Vladek's castle. That's one of the few castle sets (until know) I've ever really wanted. And if it looks like the depiction in the app, it'll look pretty cool, assuming they don't use the same spikes as in the Evil Mobile, although they probably will. Those always look so incongruous compared with the parts around them. Although that little turret on the side is cute, as is the unintentional face. Definitely going to be modding mine into a volcano though, turning that little split roof on the turret into a crab's claw and making the face-like patterns more explicit. Any ideas on how to make a suitable summoning circle or what a good final boss fight monster would be? I'd prefer to avoid humanoids. Maybe I could use classic demons and make a LEGO version of Hieronymus Bosch's flying reaper thing? That abdomen would look pretty good with a split black-red pattern, especially if I can give it a stitching sort of pattern, and that forehead looks like a craggy pattern would be a suitable interpretation. BrickFit26 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 So many possibilities for the Volcano base. I'd like to see something mountain like. Wait... General Magma[r]?! I was expecting to be able to make a new sigfig with these guys along with an army, but I certainly wasn't expecting to find a LEGO figure named after me! I've waited for this for so long! Finally, I'm in a LEGO set! (Well, they added one letter too much but I'll accept it, okay? I'll let them off with a warning this time... let it be the alternate, slightly longer version of my name... ) And they made me look so cool. Looks like I've found my new future sigfig! Cool Quote
telaruhn Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Also, these guys are actually robots! Interestingly, those toe prints are exactly like the CMF Space Miner's, except for the color... Quote

CM4Sci Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 The back of the armor doesn't seem to have studs. Oh, tha-- wait, do you mean in the image above? That's because two clip plates are attached. Quote
benderisgreat Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 What I don't like about Nexo Knights so far is the amount if minifigs in the sets is lacking. Jestros Evil Mobile for example is 60$ and only has 2 minifigs and brick build monster. Usually 60$ sets have 4-5 minifigs, I just think the set could have had one other bad guy minifig and maybe a peasant to hold in Jestros prison. And Fortrex set is lacking minifigs as well, just 1 generic bad guy in flagship set! Hope in summer wave sets Lego will be more generous on minifigure amount on the sets. Quote
