I'm not defending NK's castledom, but I don't think it's quite a Space theme, either.

It's really neither a Castle theme nor a Space theme, because it has a bit too much of one to make it the other in both cases.

Why are people calling everything that is futuristic a space theme?

Joe: Wow, this is a high-tech fridge.

Bob: It's a space fridge!

Joe: It can go to space!?

Bob: No! that's just stupid!

Joe: But you said "Space Fridge".

Bob: Oh...

Nexo Knights isn't space!

Thanks TheBrickMan01, and J2G for sharing.

Looks semi-interesting. The bike design is nice but it doesn't really have any defining features. I figure that it will come with a Crust Smasher, Flame Thrower, or Ash Attacker as the bad guy, so I'll probably skip this one since I already have both of the figures included.

Can't wait to see what Aaron's vehicle looks like!

There's a little animation you can activate once you unlock the vehicle, and it just shows the cannons flipping up, firing, and falling back, which I assume is what the knob does, otherwise it would show a different set feature.

IMO the bike is a bit bland, and a bit unfinished-looking, especially the exposed, long Technic beams underneath it. Depending on the price, it may be good or bad in my overall judgement. If it's $15, it would be pretty good value. $20 would be a bit steep though, especially as the Robo-Horse is much better at the same price.

Aaron gets flying crosbow in Fortrex.

I really don't think it was intended that, it be a vehicle. It's got zero flight surfaces or propulsion. I'm imaginative, but ive got nothing to work with there.

I would also like to say thanks for sharing the pic of the Thunder Mace. Looks like a futuristic-style chopper. Gimmick is definitely the stud-gatling guns on (I assume) either side. The model itself looks okay for what it is (i.e. a lower price point set). Several sets in this theme have exposed technic beams and I don't really mind that. This is a USD$20 set and this build looks to have around 150 pieces or so in it so hopefully, they do include some kind of vehicle or build for the lava faction in the set and not just a minifig. I would assume that one of the new villian figs would be included in this set. If you end up only getting this build and 2 minifigs then, yeah, I agree it falls short on the value front. I would imagine though that this set will include Macy's Squire-Bot.

Aaron's vehicle in this wave is (I believe) a larger, more fleshed out version of his "vehicle" in the fortrex set, that being a crossbow shaped flyer. His vehicle in Fortrex does have a name (can't recall it right now), but it is certainly pushing it to call that build a vehicle. I think the summer wave set will be much larger flyer based on the Fortrex model. I'm thinking a flying version of the Blade Cruiser with the crossbow forming the middle part of it.

Look fresh indeed, but I will try not to buy it. Will not fit on my Fortrex. Space (like money, and time for some is a limited ressource) (I will be more generous with the vilains, small vehicles can be tolerate around the volcano). So I hope there will be not book or exclusive minigifs on it. So far I planned to buy all sets with books...

I just call Nexo Knights an Action, Adventure Theme, because it's along the same lines as Ninjago, only Nexo Knights are 75% Sci-Fi and 25% Medieval Fantasy, I still like the theme and own most the sets, but they don't really fit in with regular Castle sets.

Honestly, the infatuation with labeling on this forum (e.g. Flama = he/she? Castle vs Space vs Action) can astound me, but it helps pass the time. A little sprinkling of the ignore function helped my enjoyment as well. ;)

Actual question: who is the publisher of the Ninjago, Chima, and upcoming NK magazines? I've never seen them here in Canada and I think my 5 yo might enjoy a subscription (he feels slighted about rately getting mail addressed to him).

Sorry, don't see it. Could you post another link, as it might have been swallowed by the LEGO gallery.

It got rejected by the moderators.

I will try to post it somewhere else, I will tell you when I'm done.

It is very blurry due to my bad camera, bad lighting and the fact that I zoomed in.

Do you think this is the Volcano Base?

Yeah I think so, It matches the outline seen earlier in this thread, if there's a way for you to enlarge and clear it up that would be great.

The little side tower seems to be made of cage bars. Rather strange considering it's also curved. A similar look seems to be present at the top of the tower. And the little four-wide staircase, if that's what it is, seems like a nice touch. Really hoping it's doesn't feature too large a vehicle for the good guys, so that a reasonable amount of the budget is spent on the actual set, but the comparison to Vladek's fortress made earlier is reassuring.

I believe all those magazines are published by a company called Blue Ocean: http://www.blue-ocean-ag.de/licensing

Since Star Wars got prelims already is there any chance that we'll see Nexo Knights prelims soon?

Huh. Indeed they did. Prelim pics have historically shown up in waves so yeah, we should get prelims for Nexo Knights and other themes in the next few days/week or so. I'm sure with the Star Wars images having shown up that E.B. members (spies  ) are on the look out for images.

Very interesting pic! A better quality one would be really awesome, if you have any way to provide one...

Thanks anyhow, it indeed matches the shape from the background we saw a few days ago.

Really excited about this set.

*Volcano Base*

Do you think this is the Volcano Base?

Yes. Looks just like the silhouette.

That thing is HUGE. It could be the tallest Castle ever made. Look forward to seeing it in real life. :moar:

Whoa, whoa whoa, hold up - WHAT!?

So, I ordered Fortrex right before it turned 12 AM on Jan 1, and there was a huge issue with a gift card I used, yadda yadda. Got it all fixed, and earlier this week, I got a shipping confirmation (that was said to be JUST my Nexo Intro Pack) for a 5.6 lbs package (Fortrex is 5.4 lbs according to Amazon)

Then today I got another shipping confirmation for just the Fortrex, and the tracker says it's a 5.5 lbs package.

Could it be..? It'd be super great, I just hope I wasn't charged twice. Couldn't be, I used a LEGO gift card and a generic gift card, no credit cards involved.

It sure does help pass the time. It can get so boring without something to talk about.
