x105Black Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 For the evil mobile, one thing I didn't mention, it's huge. Very imposing. Kind of 70% of a Fortrex.. It is much bigger than I expected it to be. When I saw the build in the store, I was a bit surprised that it is as wide as it is. Originally, I thought it was tall and narrow. It still is, but as I said it is wider than I had thought, and bigger overall than I had thought. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 20160121_223130 by Kevin Langenberg, on Flickr So, I've been lurking for a time now and finally got the time to sign up! Anyway I would like to give you a small review about the complete Nexo Knights Line-up Wave 1. I should mention that I mostly buy Lego for displaying reasons and not playing! I really like all the evil stuff from this theme. I think the War Chariot and Jestro's Evil Mobile are (now) the best in this set. However the monster in front of the Evil Mobile is a bit short in comparison with Infernox (which you can also use as a monster in front of the Mobile). All the other evil sets are good imo. What I really dislike is the horse form of the Mecha Horse. It's so.. I don't know what to say haha. The bike form is much better, but doesn't fit the theme well enough for me to display it like the bike. The horse gives the whole theme a better look overall. Hoverhorses are obv the best. I like the fact that you can combine sets (Fortrex and Merlok Library for example). It gives the set a nicer look to it. I on the other hand like the fact that you don't get many minifigures in a set. It gives more value to the ones in more expensive sets, but I can understand why people have a need for more standard figures in cheaper sets. Well anyway, this was my first post XD Hope you like the picture! Your display is incredible. I love it. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Your display is incredible. I love it. Just curious, you have two NK mats right ? Did you try to put one in each side : lava side, good guy side displaying at the same time and connecting in the middle ? (but I understand you will need more space) Edited January 23, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote

But due to space issues I couldn't get it to fit properly (After the summer wave I need to be looking for another place to display them anyway). Now 1 playmat is put 75% under the other but since they're the same side they kinda fit as a whole. I wished Lego made the two sides compatible with each other so that you can combine them as one.. Now it's just 2 loose playmats. Edited January 23, 2016 by Kevii23 Quote
DraikNova Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Anyone thinking of making a launch bay for the hover horses that fits with the Fortrex? Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Anyone thinking of making a launch bay for the hover horses that fits with the Fortrex? I will make a stable for 2 horses in my oversized Fortrex (light blue to fit Robin, with a yellow kitchen with Axl, A dark blue weapons room for Clay, a Red fighting/training place for Macy, a Green living room with videogames for Aaron, a golden and white bathroom/dressing room for Lance, with all my extra lance armors, a library with all the books and Merlok, a pilot room/command center for Ava and a prison cell for sad Jestro. With a dongeon to fit all of that, but still mini as possible. And with the ultimate armor as decoration near the respective color room. Should be finish around november 2023... Quote
Mr Greeble Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 UK site of Nexo Knights has "Academy". It's kinda childish, but also kinda cool. Quote

My local Lego store had them and for as far as I know I'm the first in the Netherlands with these polybags. They look good. Quote

BrickJagger Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 The mini fortrex is so funny. That's how I'm going to get Robin for sure. Can't wait for the Toy Fair tomorrow! Quote
NotMegalodon Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 That cannon + royal soldier Gimme 4! Where did you get these in The Netherlands? Quote
Colossus Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 So...has anyone tried using Bricks and Pieces to obtain new pieces from the Nexo sets, like parts to build squirebots? I'd like to assemble an army of the various bots, but $6 a pop on eBay for a bot is a little pricey. I saw in the Superhero threads that hero minifig parts were available through B and P, and I figured if licensed minifig parts were on the site, then these would be as well. Quote

Bricks & Pieces is still down for the holidays (for purchases, you can still get replacements for missing or broken bricks). But you can look at what is available if you follow through for replacements. Sadly, there are some things that aren't going to make it. I didn't look for squirebot pieces, as I have no interest. But Lance's visor wasn't there, despite other visors being present. Shield pieces (unprinted) were there, as were the pyramids. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 It is possible that when bricks and pieces opens back up pieces will be added. Quote
Hoth Rebel Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 That cannon + royal soldier Gimme 4! Where did you get these in The Netherlands? Nice catch! Care to share which store you bought them? I got these from the PlayToday store in Gouda. They don't have them for sale in the store itself as they only got a few from Lego and mostly give them away when you buy X amount Nexo Knights. Quote
x105Black Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 It is possible that when bricks and pieces opens back up pieces will be added. True, and I'm hoping that this happens. I'm also hoping that they add minifigure parts, as I didn't see any torsos or legs when I searched. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened. I'm almost done with the dragon, and I've decided on giving it rotors (made from Jestro's tr. neon orange chariot wheel and a generic black propeller) aided by jets. Considering how large (1200+ parts) it is, the outer edges of the propellers are probably spinning at supersonic speeds . I might make some for the other knights too. I already have some ideas, but I don't think I'll be ordering the parts for those. Quote

Pulp Detective Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Wait what!!?? The volcano base has 4 minifigs?? Seriously for a 100 $ set (and I'm sure it will be even more expensive in euro) that's unforgivable. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) I'm hoping that that lack of minifigures either means a really huge base or just a lot of squire bots or Scurriers. Also, I get the feeling that the expression on that life-size Clay statue will become a meme. Edited January 24, 2016 by DraikNova Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Supposedly Burnzie is in Jestro's Volcano Base. Quote

CM4Sci Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Is that mistake? I'm sure he's referring to the ghost tail piece, Flama has that. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'm liking the idea of a hand held crossbow, that should be a great set. Quote

But 4 minifigs plus some minions and Burnzie will work for me, still better than the evil mobile... I'm liking the idea of a hand held crossbow, that should be a great set. me too. Like a mix between Ronin Rex and a nerf gun... Edited January 24, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
