Pulp Detective Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) 100 pounds, 120 euros probably. But 4 minifigs plus some minions and Burnzie will work for me, still better than the evil mobile... I won't disagree on that,by the sound of it the volcano base is definitely a better deal than the evil mobile. But I'll judge it's worth once we get more info concerning the set so I can't wait for more detailed descriptions via Brickset!!! It probaby is 4 minifigs + a bunch of minions and/or robots (like you said). The fortrex only has 4 minifigs. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 It probaby is 4 minifigs + a bunch of minions and/or robots (like you said). The fortrex only has 4 minifigs. when someone mentionned 7 figs, it was probably then 4, plus a golem and 2 minions. I was too optimistic... Also Axl ultimate same price as the other. Some where expecting something a bit bigger. Quote
NotMegalodon Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Also Axl ultimate same price as the other. Some where expecting something a bit bigger. Maybe one or two recycled nexo powers? Or less of a profit? Prices of the ultimates (brick-wise) are pretty steep. Quote
BrickJagger Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 Looks like the guys on Brickset are saving Nexo for last...... I guess I can wait. Anxious to see if the rumor of just 4 figs is true, and why it doesn't match up at all with what J2G said. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'm guessing it has a few non-standard figures, thereby lowering the minifig count. Quote
x105Black Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I'll judge it's worth once we get more info concerning the set so I can't wait for more detailed descriptions via Brickset!!! Agreed. These are hardly descriptions. I'd like to have a description of Jestro from the Volcano Base. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Agreed. These are hardly descriptions. I'd like to have a description of Jestro from the Volcano Base. Let us prey it will be super exhaustive descriptions by a guy who know his stuff, like the 20 lines each DC sets got... (and not like the Bionicle or Angry birds "descriptions"...). Names of vilains, presence of book... and (probably too optimistic) the top would be to know wich of the 3 scurriers we get... Edited January 25, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Well, we already have Angry Birds hi res photos, don't see what else we'd need. I'm really looking forward to Nexo. Apparently it was the last stop of the tour, and again, they were rushed, didn't seem to spend too much time on it. Quote

Apparently it was the last stop of the tour, and again, they were rushed, didn't seem to spend too much time on it. There's really no excuse for the *pathetic* descriptions provided for themes such as Bionicle. There were only two regular DC sets there and each had a small college paper devoted to them. Meanwhile, Bionicle......"It's childish". Look, I don't like Bionicle at all but it's only fair that they get equally detailed descriptions. The DC stuff could have been summarized in a few lines anyway. Batman is always going to get a Bat-something, so that's half of the set right there. It's really frustrating that the Brickfanatics guys went this morning and managed to open a whole new can of worms with their vague descriptions...... How many figs does the Lava base actually have? What do you mean, hand-held? How does a tower fly? etc. And Brickset posting a Nexo picture as the cover for the first section of the report and clearly intend to save it for last....... Sorry for the rant, just a little frustrated. Quote

Look, I don't like Bionicle at all but it's only fair that they get equally detailed descriptions. They got their leaks, that's all they need. How many figs does the Lava base actually have? What do you mean, hand-held? How does a tower fly? etc. I'm gonna say 4 because that's what I keep hearing; Jestro, Lavaria, Axl, and Lance. Hand-held as in an actual crossbow as a ship/set. Tower I'm assuming is an actual tower on wheels that can pop off and reveal a giant catapult. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) I'm gonna say 4 because that's what I keep hearing; Jestro, Lavaria, Axl, and Lance. Sniff, no more knights, I want the elf book bearer. Few chances it appear in an other set without Jestro... Axl tower will probably have only 3 minifigs... Magmar vehicle probably less... And Whiparella need to go somewhere. My guess: in Aaron crossbow, making the set a must buy. ("Her only personal fear is being called ‘Whimparella’ – which, of course, one of the knights does constantly.") NB : In wave 1 the vilain lieutenants had their own set (Moltor, Beast Master), and the 3 grunts where in good guys sets. Edited January 25, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote

Don't get too excited since the guy who is describing NK is also the same guy who described Bionicle,so you better expect some minimal info concerning the sets unfortunately. Quote

I modified my Chaos Chariot : http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=120341 I wish this was the real set. I don't like the design of original Chaos Chariot at all, but this is perfect... Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Nexo Knights report! Jestro's Volcano Base includes Jestro, the Book of Monsters, the Book Carrier, Lavaria, 2 Ash Attackers, and a Scurrier. Edited January 25, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 We get the Book Keeper! Magmar's siege tower sounds great, and the Volcano Base is intriguing if not spectacular. And story change in 2017? Gotta be the swamp/forest theme. I'll probably be able to skip Axl's vehicle. I hope that black Moltor-like Scurrier is in this wave! Quote
Karateduo1 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hope the Glob lobber uses actual Globlins and not the disks, though it seems to be disks from the description. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Also apparently the presenter was dressed as Jestro or something? Quote
Cagast Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Apparently the volcano base is "dull". Too bad, I had highest hopes for that one. Quote
Karateduo1 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Also apparently the presenter was dressed as Jestro or something? Forget the set pictures, I want to see that. Quote

Jestro's Volcano Base includes Jestro, the Book of Monsters, the Book Carrier, Lavaria, 2 Ash Attackers, and a Scurrier. The minifigs repartition seems strange. 2 ash Attackers ? Flama with Magmar and Ultimate but no Whiparella ? (maybe they somehow miss it in Magmar set ?). It could be wrongly reported or going to change don't you think ? Also the price of Axl Tower is strange. 39,99 for a big vehicle including Axl, two Axl Bots, Burnzie and a Crust Smasher ? Suspeciously better than the 39,99 Evil Mobile... And the dutch site said : 70322 Axl´s torentransport 80,00 euros Edited January 25, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
DraikNova Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Apparently the volcano base is "dull". Too bad, I had highest hopes for that one. On the other hand, the reviewer thought the color balance of the first wave's knights' sets was bad. So I'd take his opinion with a grain of salt. Forget the set pictures, I want to see that. Ditto. Macy bots and Axl bots (and two of them!), plus the book keeper mean we get a great selection of minor characters. Really loving the sound of most of these sets, except the Tower Carrier, which sounds kind of pointless. It apparently looks like the horrible cave crusher set, but with a tower on top of it. I'm probably going to end up modding it into either one of the speculations we had (flying castle, leaves behind a weapon when it flies away) or turning it into a more formidable emplacement. Oh well, I'm going to need tons of parts for MOCcing anyway, and it includes Axl's squirebots. All in all, another have to get em all sort of wave. Really too bad the reviewer didn't mention more specifics about Ultimate Axl or Ultimate Flama. Personally, I'm hoping the change of story does not get rid of Jestro. He's an interesting character, and I'd like to see more of him. At least we get a chance to have plant villains. I really want my Rafflesilady and Mushlord figs. Really wondering how Whiparella is going to appear. Maybe there's a third wave of Ultimates? Or maybe she's just one of the figs in General Magmar's Siege Engine that he missed.
