I remember seeing the episodes list for nexo knights and one of the episodes was called, "The Black Knight." Perhaps the dark knight characters from the sticker book are going to be in the first season of nexo knights.

I don't know why. They've produced very dark minifigures in the past. Anyways, the skin looks to be sand blue on the Chef's arms.

But we are talking Nexo knights here. You know, silly transparent armors, crazy vehicle ala Chima, and ridiculously-oversized weapons in the Ultimate sets, targeting 8 years old. We were already super lucky with the very adult-friendly lava guys. Don't push it or you could be even more disappointed than with NK 2016 . The villains have to fit somehow with the colorful knights. At least they will get some uber-technological colorful shields...

It does not. Unlike that plume (and various other accessories in themes like Friends), Macy's plume (actually a ponytail) ends in a 3.2 mm bar, the same sort of attachments as minifigure weapons. There's no easy way to attach that plume to other headgear.

I agree that some of those figures look a bit... dour, for Nexo Knights. The current story has the vibrant Lava Monsters versus the equally vibrant knights, and I would imagine that only helps their shelf appeal for kids. I'm still not sure I expect any of those monsters from the books to represent future waves.

Anyway, that got me thinking about another question—what do you think future knights and their vehicles might look like? A lot of themes try to do something different with their color schemes or motifs in their second (third, fourth, etc.) year to try to differentiate them from what's come before. Power Miners, for instance, replaced the orange in the sets' color schemes with blue. Atlantis swapped its Trans. Bright Green windscreens for Trans. Yellow. Even Chima started using Trans. Bright Orange, rather than Trans. Light Blue, as the unifying color for the good guys (and conversely, started using Trans. Light Blue for the new ice villains).

Changing up the villains is easy in-story—there's no rule that all the monsters created by the Book of Monsters have to be lava monsters, and there's plenty that could be done with monsters that draw from other elements or environments. For the knights, the possibilities for change are much less obvious. Perhaps the transparent color unifying the sets could be changed, but that might make for too dramatic a change in the look of the sets. I suppose they could make Trans. Yellow work—that wouldn't be too far from how the weapons and things look in the show, and I'm sure it'd make the Spacers happy. Alternatively, they could change the SOLID colors of the builds, perhaps emphasizing the primary colors of the knights more on their respective vehicle.

Of course, nothing has to change, and even if something does, it doesn't necessarily have to be colors. Still, it's fun to speculate!

Personally, I'm hoping that they don't change the knights' color scheme. Constant changing of color schemes makes it so much harder to acquire suitable amounts of parts in the right colors.

There's not much they can change about the knights. Perhaps they can all get gold on them in the future.

Take it with a grain of salt but it seems to me that the ultimates get low on stock except for beast master. I have been to several stores that had 1 or none of most ultimates with spaces where they should be. Purely anecdotal and not statistically significant of course...

Went to my local lego store and kids were flocking the Nexo Knights sets. I also got the last Nexo Knights promo with the exclusive sheild inlay and the variation of Merlock 2.0 and it's super nice!! I kinda pressed to get the little promo because the lady didn't know what it was and had to ask her manager, but it was well worth it.

As far as sales, there's no way to know. I see plenty of them on shelves when I am shopping for LEGO, but they might also have huge inventories.

Here in Poland NK is everywhere (more than Chima few years ago I would say). No Ninjago 2016 yet. The friends of my son are really into it. Thanks to the App mostly. A successfull marketing tool I imagine. I would like to have some statistic info indeed.

The main reason my son is crazy about it, is because of the game on the ipad. And it works both ways, now that he has a few posters, a playbook, ultimate Aaron he want to play the game everything he's been playing/looking at the other stuff.

Too bad we've already completed the game missions. I'll see if i can make a few screenshots of the black armors.

As you can see, they've not all been upgraded to the same level, which can be seen to the right of the character. Some are level 2 others level 4. The armor gets darker each level, but also includes more light stripes.
