The black armor is niiiice. Hope we see it in the future.

They remind me of the outfits from TRON. With all the tech in this line, It'd be cool to see the Knights go into a dataspace or something. Like, Merlock gets a virus, and they need to save him.

Macy's armor looks the best in black. The red mixes in so well.

I nabbed the Book of Monsters today and I'm enjoying every page.

Any plant monsters we haven't seen? I know, I'm asking this again but no one answered the first time.

Those new Nexo upgrades look incredible. I don't see why we wouldn't get them in a future sub theme. Those suits would be a perfect match with the dark blue/black bad guys. :classic:

I think you just pointed out a good reason why we probably won't see both (at least, not at the same time). You don't want the hero and villain factions to match—you want them to contrast with one another. Two dark-colored factions would blend together too easily, regardless of how many glowy lines you added.

Anyway, that got me thinking about another question—what do you think future knights and their vehicles might look like? A lot of themes try to do something different with their color schemes or motifs in their second (third, fourth, etc.) year to try to differentiate them from what's come before. Power Miners, for instance, replaced the orange in the sets' color schemes with blue. Atlantis swapped its Trans. Bright Green windscreens for Trans. Yellow. Even Chima started using Trans. Bright Orange, rather than Trans. Light Blue, as the unifying color for the good guys (and conversely, started using Trans. Light Blue for the new ice villains).

Changing up the villains is easy in-story—there's no rule that all the monsters created by the Book of Monsters have to be lava monsters, and there's plenty that could be done with monsters that draw from other elements or environments. For the knights, the possibilities for change are much less obvious. Perhaps the transparent color unifying the sets could be changed, but that might make for too dramatic a change in the look of the sets. I suppose they could make Trans. Yellow work—that wouldn't be too far from how the weapons and things look in the show, and I'm sure it'd make the Spacers happy. Alternatively, they could change the SOLID colors of the builds, perhaps emphasizing the primary colors of the knights more on their respective vehicle.

Of course, nothing has to change, and even if something does, it doesn't necessarily have to be colors. Still, it's fun to speculate!

Regarding NK 2017 colors : not easy to guess, and it will depend a lot of the vilains color... (the actual colors not contrasting a lot with a green, earth and red vilains plant faction for exemple).

As I said last week, 2016 Blue(s) and grey(s) were perfect (feel both medieval and futuristic). The transparent color could have been with trans-yellow like in the show, but i think trans reddish orange add a bigger contrast with the light grey and silver, while creating a link with the lava monster. (Meanwhile the vilains got trans-orange to stay within lava colors but still slightly contrast with red).

But I was the NK designer, I would change these colors for 2017. Or wave 2 vehicles will feel too similar to wave 1 (a blue bike, blue tank, blue tower, blue castle, blue flyer...).

Replacing trans reddish orange by trans-orange or trans-yellow will not cut it. The new vehicles need to be fresh, orginal to be appealing for kids. They need to feel "Whooa, cool vehicle look, I don't have that, I wan't that". (but I admited if we got a super fresh vilain faction, it could help sell similarly colored knights...)

I said it last week, but the problem is most of the colors are "taken" : dark blue, Yellow, Red, Green and White...

dark green, brown, tan, sand would be very military and more for bad guys

Orange, light green and lime are probably too flashy and not very knightly (purple, light yellow, pink even more so...)

But seeing blue and dark blue are used a lot despite being Clay colors, I would go for a grey, gold, red, dark red with trans-light blue for the contrast

Golden armour and shield with trans-blue details would be lovely, but probably too kingly... (I still think we will got them at some point)

A darker metal for the armor could work as well, especialy if the vilains have no armors (those being generaly dark). By the way if they make the plant faction, I would love to see some wooden/organic/spiky shield design

There's a lot in store from this book, maybe I can take a few pictures or something.

Next up on my list, that book with Aaron's nexo power..

Honestly, the black armor is a bit too techy for me. It looks much less knightly, and just a black and blue blob with a vague medieval armor impression.

Too techy for Nexo Knights? Blasphemy!

Not to bother you too much, but how did you get it? On the site, it says the book comes out in june... :cry_sad:

The British edition published by Ladybird came out this month. The American edition published by Scholastic comes out in June.

Would the owners post a few pictures of the Book? I'm not asking for every page, but some cover shots would be nice.

Also, besides some minor spelling changes, why should the US version be so much later than the British one?
