Also a leg mold for the Black Knight, since his legs look to be made of water.

The guy above Jestro looks like a cool bigfig to me.

Looks like I correctly predicted that there would be water villains. :sweet:

The plant mini figures are very interesting, although some of them seem to have way too much detail to be feasible, such as the werewolf-tree and the tree-man.

Looking forward to seeing more of the water monsters, but don't forget that we've also seen the water monster chef in addition to the new ones.

You pretty much have to believe that the plants and water monsters are both coming next year because Lego definitely wouldn't reveal their bad guys for the third year of the theme, which could be the last, two years in advance. :shrug_confused:

Can we get English descriptions?

When 2017 comes around and none of these monsters show up...

I really, really would not get my hopes up for any of these guys, but would love to see them happen nonetheless.

On the subject of Monstrox. Clearly he's a lava monster. Perhaps he's the sarlacc-like thing in the Volcano Lair.

You know, I just realized that we already have the claw-like part for that water monster guy's hand in the Fly CMF. LEGO often introduces new molds there before they become part of a theme.

What do you predict we will get in 2017? These two factions make sense because there's a dark forest and a evil-looking ocean on the NK continent.

We've already gotten Lava, and if you take away the Dark Forest and the Ocean, that leaves

Desert

Snow

Plains

Mysterious white tower thingy in the lower left corner of the map

And that's all. Clearly the forest is the most profitable location out of these, so it's logical to make sets based on it.

MONSTER UPDATE

We now have:

Jestro

Book of Monsters

10 Lava Monsters

4 Scurriers

3 Lava Golems

3 Globlins

Moltrox (Show-Only?)

Mushlord

5 Plant Monsters

2 Water Monsters

Water Golem

Behemoth of Brine (Will probably be show-only)

Giving us 32 individual known monsters, with more on the way. Pretty impressive. :classic:

I suspect that whatever that white tower is (pics please?) will be part of the 2018 endgame, since it seems like it could be involved with the mysteries surrounding the Book of Monsters' origins and NK is probably planned to last three years (can't remember if it's been stated), making it a good way to end the first arc.

Also, is that a trick of the light or did the makers of the book decide to give the fish monster bishie sparkles?

It actually has been introduced in the pirates of the caribean series.

I fully expect the next two years of NK to be plant and water themes. These minifigs are going to be sweet.

I will keep using a lot of conditional. I read here Chima magazine had guys art never produced. And if they go for it they should/could be heavely changed, remember Chima concept art ?

Forest make the more sense indeed. But They could go for Faeries, or troll etc... Same for the sea vilains, make a lot of sense, but they could do squeletons pirates, etc...

I imagine TLG has concept art for dozen of faction. I am not sure they will choose to show us the 2 they will pick up rather than recycle rejected vilains...

I agree. I don't think that the characters shown in the book are an indication of future waves. Given TLG's overall secretive behavior regarding future sets and their desire to do everything possible to prevent leaks, it is highly doubtful that they would show future characters in development in this way. The more likely scenario, is that the characters shown are unused concepts or designs that Lego is recycling into the book so that they get some usage out of them.

Seaweed mermaid is awesome! I can't imagine these figs not being produced in the future. Just seems like too much work went into them to not end up being figures.

Also, that last pic of Sparkks and Burnzie! Ha!

Why wouldn't they show us those figs? Nexo knights is a new theme and you want customers to get into this theme. I think it's good strategy to win souls.

So I finished the book after reading it here and there. It would be quite a shame not to get at least some of these monsters in physical form. Grapevine ladies, seaweed mermaids, dark sea knights, oh my..

Oh, I want the wicked seaweed mermaid! BADLY.

Same here, she looks awesome.

I think it's possible we'll see at least some of them. Considering that they included many current monsters, I'd say that there's a good likelihood that they plan to release as many of these as they can.

Why is everyone calling one of sea monster Black Knight when Robin is a Black Knight in the show? Hope we'll get him in Black Knight form as a minifigure.

I was calling him that because at first there was no indication to me that he was an aquatic villain, and his armor is black. Also, I haven't watched the show, and only thought of Robin as the little Chicken Knight kid.

This is robin in his black knight armor: https://plus.google....47-9c75027353b9

EDIT: It seems that all the monsters coexist, according to some pictures.

I can't see the image, it's on Google Plus, and I don't use it.

Yeah, it seems to me that all of these monsters are contained in the Book of Monsters, and that they will all eventually be released by Jestro.
