Rayskull Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I would say normal Blue is the main surface color, with dark Blue equally used for the armored pieces. More light grey than dark grey. For the sructure. Checking brickset part description could probably help, for the pieces ratio and color/type of pieces but they are not complete yet... http://brickset.com/sets/70315-1/Clay-s-Rumble-Blade maybe 30% blue, 30% dark blue, 30% grey, 5% dark grey or silver, 5% trans orange (and black if you put wheels...) If I may be so bold, here's my example with just the right color combo. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) If I may be so bold, here's my example with just the right color combo. Yes your color ratio is very good, I would say just less dark bluish grey. http://brickset.com/...me-Nexo-Knights Edited February 23, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
DraikNova Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) What do you guys think would be more appropriate as a flying mecha-mount for Aaron? A modified version of the enfield (basically a fox-based griffon-like creature found in some bestiaries) with dragonfly aspects replacing the eagle elements (to keep it distinct from the griffin I'm making for Clay, because Aaron apparently likes "creepy-crawlies" and because I figure dragonflies are basically arthropod eagles) or a completely new creature, in the style of typical bestiary mish-mash stuff, in this case using the statement from one medieval manuscript that foxes can only walk in winding and circular paths to combine them with swimming crabs? kirkwoodproductions Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Personally I don't think there is a specific ratio for colours and it just depends on what you're building. I've not really followed a plan in my Mocs, I just build what works - but I seem to end up with more grey in structural works: and more blue in vehicles: Quote
ChristopheQ Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Personally I don't think there is a specific ratio for colours and it just depends on what you're building. Perpermint asked what's our idea of NK (typical/average ?) colour ratio, IMHO, beside the different bulding technics, if you put your builds among NK sets, one will notice they are not TLG made. Too much adjoining adjoining blue for your cute dragon, too much dark grey for your walls for exemple... But yes, your color scheme work very well per se, and still fit well with the NK sets, so who cares... PS : I love your walls !! Quote

kirkwoodproductions Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Cool builds man. Thanks. I'd been half-heartedly working on a space/castle crossover (it was astronauts vs evil aliens who lived in futuristic castles on a far off planet) for about half a year, but my attentions were elsewhere until Nexo Knights came about and I decided to adapt the little bits I'd built to fit this theme. I keep meaning to create a page to post everything but I've not got round to it. For those who've not seen it, this is Queen Hammerin Halbert in her golden armour from episode 10. She's fighting alongside the Black Knight Mech so I'm hoping she'll be in the set. There's even a bit in the battle where Whiparella (and Lavaria) corner the Queen so I think she'd fit right in in the set. Quote
NotMegalodon Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 That looks cool! I am still waiting for the 10th episode to come online on the Dutch lego website. Quote
DraikNova Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Thanks for the picture! Really hoping we get the queen in the set now. I think the Chima hammer piece would work well. Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Thanks for the picture! Really hoping we get the queen in the set now. I think the Chima hammer piece would work well. Forget that piece, give me the Thor hammer piece in one of the trans blues. Or dual molded with solid in the center. Quote

Having a normal Robin in the last set will make an exclusive Queen much more likely... Having 3 exclusive figs in a 40$ sets is asking a lot to NK... Quote

The show only ever has Robin in his normal clothes. I think we'll see a normal version of Robin as technically (if we don't count the 'limited' polybag) he's only appeared in an ultimate and not any building sets. That would leave exclusive Whiparella and exclusive Queen. Quote

I love everything that has to do with space and castles. And the Queen in her armor looks fantastic. Quote
Megagan Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 The queen looks excellent in her armor, I can see the knights getting golden armor at some point but would still like to get stuff more like the upgrades in the game. But I can see how the queens hammer could be brick built sort of like Macy's mace. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Regarding General magmars set, it's a great value for $50. However the $70 price on axl's set isn't that great. These new sets are priced better than what I was expecting though. Quote
MasterofElements Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 On Lego's youtube channel, it showed a "Nexo" suit of armor in a black color. It is cool to see the design of a black knight, if we ever actually get a new addition to the team. It would also make a very cool minifigure! Here is the link to the video: Quote

Boogly22238 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Magmar's set is only 50 bones? Superb. I guess the Tower Carrier is what I'll have trouble getting.. Quote

Here is the link to the video: I thought it was going to be black armor. I was hoping to see the Nexo Knights armor piece in black. It was, however, a black armor print on a minifigure. Probably a good idea of what a black knight would look like, though. Quote

catwrangler Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Just catching up on this thread, and I'm really excited to see the (apparently minifig-scale) plant-based monsters - I hadn't expected to see this kind of thing in Nexo Knights and it'll definitely keep the theme interesting. I've seen a lot of discussion elsewhere about how long NK could last, and if they keep developing it like this I'd hope we can get a few years out of it. Quote

It certainly seems successful so far, and with the amount of marketing that Lego has poured into it (As well as learning from the mistakes made in Chima) NK could be around for a long time. Quote
NotMegalodon Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 two more pics of the mechs (and the team and queen). Quote
ChristopheQ Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Thanks !! It's very similar to the King mech in size, the set could follow that as well. The mech in the king mech is approx 350 pieces, but the Black Mech set is supposed to be 530 pc, so possibly 180 pieces for an extra (not so) small build (or 2)... Hopping for something similar to the Wu dragon set as mentioned by TPLSTER21. Like a trolley and a small building part... Edited February 28, 2016 by ChristopheQ Quote
