I'm buying Nexo for the monsters really, the Knights are really mediocre in my opinnion when it comes to figures and sets.

Only the Mech set is great imho and i have it on my desk.

I'm only buying what little I have so far for the parts to use in other Fantasy stuff. The creature are probably the most useful bit and maybe some armor and weapons. Otherwise, I'm not into the story.

How do you get that exclusive figure?

You have to have the coupon that was included with a calendar that was given out last December with purchase. It also included two other coupons.

I'm travelling in Italy this week, and in a little toy store in Siena I found Ultimate Flama, Ultimate Axl, Aarons flyer, and Jestros Castle. I bought Flama, but I might go back for Axl. :sweet:

In Europe, we might just get it without the coupon... i think that happened with the last coupon-exclusive too.

With that exclusive figure is there anyway of ordering it online? I have the calendar and coupon but the closest Lego Store to me is now about four hours away so it's something I don't get to very often, usually only once or twice a year. I guess if not I may have to plan a road trip.

TTV now has pictures of presumably all of next year's monsters up: http://board.ttvchan...opic/11247/1713

From what I can see:

Winter 2017: Dark Realm

Mushlord the Marauder (Leader)

Deadwood and Knot

Loggerhead

Baron Badwood

Bramblina

Dame Flora

The Elm of the Dark Realm

Summer 2017: Water

Marquis De Seaweed (Leader)

Mate SquiddyBeard

The Sing Along Siren of Seaguard

Sharkerado

Chef Savage

Poop

Deck

Behemoth of Brine

This might be what gets me to buy sets from the theme, I absolutely love the possibility of all these new parts we might get.

While I didn't much care for the theme at first, I've grown to rather like Nexo Knights. Despite this, I hope the series doesn't become evergreen like Ninjago so that we can eventually get a proper medieval Lego castle theme.

Not a big fan of that magazine go-kart, but I don't live in Europe so I guess it doesn't matter.

The promo is another disappointment. When will Lego realize that changing the torso and leg prints of the soldiers (Or Stormtroopers, for that matter) ever so slightly won't make them more desirable?

I would rather have a nice, uniform force of knights and bots, just as they appear in the show. There are already a limited number of knights available in comparison to the lava monsters, and all of the variations make them hard to army build.

Armored Queen Halbert would have been my choice for the promo, but she could still show up as a book exclusive or something later in the year.

The phrase "Queen Halbert" is a curious one. Why isn't she referred to by her first name, as most monarchs are? For awhile I was under the impression that King Halbert's name was actually Halbert, unless he and the Queen both have the same name, which I doubt. Come to think of it, Macy's last name is Halbert, so unless they are both Halbert Halbert, that option has been ruled out. Hold on. Maybe all this is so that kids will understand that they're all in the same family.... Oh. I guess I'm done here.

Not sure on the reasons why King and Queen Halbert are referred to by their surname (possibly so that the family connection between them and Macy Halbert isn't lost on viewers), but thanks to the Book of Monsters we DO know their full names: King Eggred Halbert and Queen Hammerin Halbert.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the same dude from the battle pack that's coming out.

The one with four figures? It's out, I've owned it for a while. I checked and the prints are slightly different, this one is new.

That's not true! The prints on the torso & legs, at the very least, are unique. Note the orange bits on the blue fields on the torso & rounded part of the legs, the orange bits on the kneepads, the design of the torso armor print, the color arrangement on the leg print.

It's a new torso AND leg print...even the head print is new (the bared teeth are not the same as the teeth on this guy)

It does strike me a bit as odd that compared to say, Ninjago, we're getting a LOT of variants of those generic footsoldiers even in just this first year, and comparatively fewer variants of the actual named characters. Not that that's totally a bad thing! The variation in generic troops is much more in line with traditional Castle themes and will probably be much appreciated by anyone who wants to army build unnamed characters without them all looking 100% identical.

It's not out in my neck of the woods, unfortunately. :(

The knights are boring, same goes for their vehicles. However, I absolutely love the bad guys. With a little change of weapons, they make a great evil faction for Castle. In addition their small minions look just super adorable. Oh and Flama, Lavaria and Jestro are pretty cool minifigures. I will definitly go for them

I just don't like the fact that the foot soldiers are supposed to be robots, especially with all the squire-bots already running around.

That said, Nexo Knights is, I think, the best new original Lego theme in a long time. I wish the antagonists were a little less forgettable (or less ridiculous, in the case of these new ones), but I love the design aesthetic of Knighton, with the knightly powered armour, the Tron lines on everything, the high-tech farm houses and windmills. I hope this theme is with us for a while yet.
