DraikNova Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) It went through a few revisions after applying it in real life. What you'll need: 2 black balljoint pieces, 2 black 4-length axles, 4 yellow 2x2 round tiles with axle holes in them, the keetongorange 2x2 plate that comes with the set's version of the arms, 2 black hero factory hands, 2 dark grey CCBS lower limb bones and 2 silver 5m CCBS shells, 2 dark bluish grey 2x2 bricks with ball sockets and whatever you want to use on the back of the assembly (must fit a 2x4 space). Just snap the result on and voila. A simple fix, but it looks a lot less spindly than the original, and it's almost show-accurate too. I was originally going to use 3 yellow plates for each of the spring-like lower arms, but it looked somewhat overcrowded (and extending the arms would have made it ridiculously large), and I only had 4 in real life anyway. BrickFit26 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Can you post a picture of your Axl with the new arms? Looks cool. Quote
Jacked Lego Maniac Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Would love to see something like a princess macy or armored queen but I doubt the magazine will do that as it's too many unique parts. Isn't the Queen's armour just a variation on the King's with Macy's helmet in blue and gold? Quote

Mr Greeble Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) This is an interesting way to get scurriers. http://www.ebay.com/...5568649f Knockoff, but the quality looks good. Edited July 10, 2016 by Mr Greeble Quote
TeriXeri Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I would never buy fake lego to mix it with real, even if its figures. Lots of those shops use fake pictures as well, those might just as well be the real ones posted up. Just my 2 cents. Quote
NotMegalodon Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) Yeah, don't buy it, you just encourage them to keep doing this. Anonknee Muss Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Yeah, don't buy it, you just encourage them to keep doing this. Exactly, it's horrible, very recently the Lepin brand copied Lego's ghostbusters headquarters and it was exactly the same, why doesn't Lego sue them? Quote
DraikNova Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Exactly, it's horrible, very recently the Lepin brand copied Lego's ghostbusters headquarters and it was exactly the same, why doesn't Lego sue them? Probably there's some legal problems preventing LEGO from suing them. For example, whenever LEGO is copied in China, the lax government makes it nigh impossible for LEGO to sue them. Also, here are the real life pictures of my Ultimate Axl mod: Quote

badchriss Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 That looks great, even if i don`t really like those "ultimate" Addons on the Figs. They kinda look odd and ridicioulus. But seeing ultimate Axl makes me wonder one Thing:Has someone tried to separate the Torso and that huge Armor Piece for Science? Also, why does Axl`s Armor Piece have a Number printed on the Side?I think mine says 11x6. What does That mean? Quote
BrickJagger Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 But seeing ultimate Axl makes me wonder one Thing:Has someone tried to separate the Torso and that huge Armor Piece for Science? I don't think you can actually separate them. It looks like it was made as a single piece. Quote

Mr Greeble Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) I don't think they would be glued, that seems out of the ordinary for Lego. It's probably just a new mold using the normal minifig torso as a base. (meaning it is all one piece.) Edited July 11, 2016 by Mr Greeble Quote

Exetrius Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Yeah lego definitely won't use glue! Sometimes they will, like with this piece: http://brickset.com/parts/6152199 and I think this one as well: http://brickset.com/parts/6083001 However, I'm 99% sure that Axl's armour/torso is a single piece. Sorry if this is common knowledge already, but here are details about the NK panel at SDCC: LEGO Nexo Knights: Behind the Scenes Get a look at the newest property from The LEGO Goup: Nexo Knights! Vincent Tong (voice actor) joins the panel to talk about bringing the character of Jestro to life on screen. Moderated by Brian Bowler (marketing director). CM4Sci Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I don't think GR's head is glue, I remember seeing the underside of it and the stud inside was modified to let some of the flame inside the mold. Quote

TheOneVeyronian Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Also, why does Axl`s Armor Piece have a Number printed on the Side?I think mine says 11x6. What does That mean? I could be wrong, but I think it's a batch number. Similar numbers appear on set tape seals and I know that when such a number appears on tape seals, it's a batch number for the set. Also, I think I've seen other "complex" parts (like glued parts for example), or at least polybags housing individual complex parts, printed with such a number, and Axl's torso definitely qualifies as a complex part. My Ultimate Axl has a different number from your Axl, mine says 04X6 so I think that adds weight to my batch number argument. I do wish it wasn't printed so visibly though, it could have been printed in the neck area instead but never mind. Quote
