^ The age range for Nexo Knights is 8-14, which (I think) is older than Ninjago's.

Okay. Thanks for confirming that. :classic: Ninjago is the same 8-14. What I was getting at was that Chima had an 8-14 range (same as Ninjago), but it's actual target range and set user range was probably 7-9 with minimal AFOL interest. Ninjago's actual target range/set user range is probably 9-12 with some AFOL interest (more than Chima in any case). I was hoping that NN was skewered to a slightly older audience like Ninjago as opposed to a younger audience like Chima.

The Ultimate sets are figure packs with weapons. Trust me. :classic:

I wonder if Jestro is leading the Monster Mashers. Why would an evil Jester lead golems?

Figure packs seem nice. Would they be like the Chima Tribe Packs?

Okay so, since you kind of put it out there... :classic: ...can you tell us anything more about the ultimate packs? Are they minifigs with knight-like exoskeletons with weapons? Figures with a bunch of weapons and a rack/display stand to store them? A figure pack as 8BrickMario suggested? Mini-models with a figure? Rough piece count?

And what's this about Golems...? :classic:

Alright so the set Jestro is in is called "Jestro's companions of darkness" this means he has his own army. Darkness in that set name gives me hope for some good henchman. Maybe dark elves? Dark trolls? Dark robots? Honestly his army might just be lava monsters. I do hope to see his own henchman instead of lava monsters.

I just hope he's good! If he's too technological, I might not like him as much. But if he looks like a more traditional jester, he'll be good. I just hope this theme finds a good balance.

Not all of the Lava Monsters are Lava Monsters. Some of them are just Stone Monsters. Not all are named. I've heard that several times.

As for the figure packs, that's all I know. :shrug_oh_well:

On the bright side (for me), Lego rehashing that WV set gives me 80 more bucks to spend on NK. :moar:

I personally look forward to have a female knight. Normally in the castle thenes, the only females we get are a princess. It's about time they get a female to be a knight. Expect her to have a mace and a helmet to cover her face. Some might think she's a guy at first but removing the helmet will confirm she's a female.

I was in just for historic accuracy.

And there were no female knights.

So a female knight in a castle theme is a down to me.

But this isn't historic, it's futuristic

Goblins and Elves aren't Historic either, yet we keep 'em here. :shrug_confused:

Waiting for these set pictures is really killing me. I heard that a few people have already seen the catalog and we should get our hands on it soon enough, but the Hype Train.....

Not that female knights were the norm, by any stretch, but to say they didn't exist would be gravely inaccurate.

Besides that, as CM4S stated, there's hardly anything "historic" about this theme, so there's no excuse for culturally regressive treatment of women.

There were female knights. They didn't compete at tournament or battle in war in the traditional sense. But there were female knights, some of which defended their city, many of whom ran hospitals of the day.

So let me get this straight, this is futuristic castle theme right ?

Now Lego again has issues with crossing themes don't they ?

Perhaps it will a little like 'A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court' ?

LOTR AFOLs go nuts (in a bad way) when the female knight doesn't appear as a minifig... Castle AFOLs go nuts (in a bad way) when a female knight does appear

What can we learn here? AFOLs go nuts (in a bad way)

I'm looking at pictures of the boxes right now and they range from 6-14 to 8-14, although most are 7-14

Oops, you're right, i was looking at the boxes i had sitting right next to me (Nindroid Mechdragon and Last Flight of D. B.), I guess i should have checked some smaller boxes too

I'm really looking forward to this theme now! Figure packs with weapons, and stone monsters, and lava monsters! :cry_happy: I wonder if they'll look like regular minifigs or something like Rock Monsters...

Cherry picking.

I can say that there sheeps are white, as they normally are.

One black over thousands doesn't change the matter.

Thanks.
