What comes to mind is Metalbeard's Sea Cow from the Lego Movie, I know thats a pirate ship but would lego take the same approach, take a normal looking castle, catapults, carriages, etc then adjust the proportions and add some steampunk features? Can anyone in the know give us some brief descriptions? or detailed/highly detailed descriptions :P Quote

The logo could work for a more shiny castle steampunk if that makes sense. I believe the rumour was that it would have light steampunk influences but still very much be castle Quote

I guess it depends on what you class as sci-fi Anyone "in the know" wish to comment? Maybe more stuff like the TLM Castle Cavalry model? I would be happy with stuff along those lines, it would mean we could still get good pieces for building regular castles and buildings Quote

Based on the way this theme seems to be headed, I think I'd be just fine with that. What will this forum be with no active themes? Dead. We haven't even seen the pictures yet! I have no idea how you guys could make the case for this being a Space theme, anyway. The set names seem Castle-like to me. Catapult, Robo Horse, the Jestro set, etc. Some of you would say "Oh, well there's a "Robo" in Robo-horse, so it has to be a Space theme", ignoring the fact that it's a horse and it's got a Knight on it's back. Points for it being a Castle theme: - Knights - Jester - Golems - Catapults - All knights have medieval weapon-themed names, not futuristic ones - The fact that the theme has "Knights" in it's title - Horses - Castles (Some might move. Whatever. That would hold up the "Steampunk" end.) Points for it being a Space theme ( ): - The logo - The word "Robo" Points for it being an Action theme: - Lots of sets ( ) - Merchendising (FE was heavily featured in a video game and Clutch Powers, as well as having Chess sets, T-Shirts, etc. so does that make it an Action theme?) I rest my case. Quote

Those are just two quick examples grabbed from Chima, and they are in fact a lion-shaped monster truck and a tank thing that looks like a reject from burning man. My caution does not come from cynicism, it's a defense mechanism to avoid disappointment. Quote

Well, Chima is literally Animal People fighting for energy and stuff, and that sounds stupid right off the bat. With NK I haven't heard heard anything "weird" such as that. Knights fighting some golems. Evil Jester guy. Sounds good to me, and pretty much a mix of KK2 and FE rather than Chima. I think that Lego would be inclined to proceed with caution on the development of "Big Bang" themes after the fairly poor sales of Chima, and the probably put more research into this one instead of rushing into it with nothing but Benjamins on their mind.
