Captain Nemo Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Boromir & The Ring Back again! For round three of the Middle Earth Lego Olympics over on Mocpages, we were again asked to build a creation based on a character assigned to us; and this time I was given Boromir. I've chosen to construct a creation based on the scene where Boromir is driven mad by the power of the Ring, and attempts to steal it from Frodo--who escapes from him by wearing it. The build is made from the perspective of Frodo while wearing the One Ring. Build Time: 10-12 Hours Enjoy! ~Nemo Quote
Balbo Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Awesome! I really love the way you created Boromir, Amon Hen and the eye of Sauron! Good luck for the contest. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Cool - but isn't Boromir actually a bit too tall? Quote
dwarvenFORGE Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 That is really cool, it really reflects that scene the Fellowship. Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Cool - but isn't Boromir actually a bit too tall? I think (or so I interpreted it as) it was meant to show Boromir looming above Frodo, looking really menacing etc., with him being corrupt by the ring. Quote
mallou Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Realy remarquable. beautifull and well built. great job Quote
Robin Creations Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Wow Captain Nemo! It's nice to see you building castle MOCs! I really love how it turned out. My favorite part is Boromir's sword! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Very interesting build. I love the coloring. I do believe the scale seems a bit off, but it works in this setting. I'm sure, as terrified as Frodo would be, plus the appearance/distortion of everything with the ring on, may make him appear much larger than expected. But the scale does throw me off a bit. But overall a great execution. Good luck! Quote
Ardelon Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 A fantastic brick-built Boromir (maybe even better than the official minifig!), and a great way to convey the drama of the scene! Quote
