Boromir & The Ring

Back again! For round three of the Middle Earth Lego Olympics over on Mocpages, we were again asked to build a creation based on a character assigned to us; and this time I was given Boromir. I've chosen to construct a creation based on the scene where Boromir is driven mad by the power of the Ring, and attempts to steal it from Frodo--who escapes from him by wearing it. The build is made from the perspective of Frodo while wearing the One Ring.

I think (or so I interpreted it as) it was meant to show Boromir looming above Frodo, looking really menacing etc., with him being corrupt by the ring.

Wow Captain Nemo! It's nice to see you building castle MOCs! I really love how it turned out. My favorite part is Boromir's sword!

Very interesting build. I love the coloring.

I do believe the scale seems a bit off, but it works in this setting. I'm sure, as terrified as Frodo would be, plus the appearance/distortion of everything with the ring on, may make him appear much larger than expected. But the scale does throw me off a bit.

But overall a great execution. Good luck!

A fantastic brick-built Boromir (maybe even better than the official minifig!), and a great way to convey the drama of the scene!
