StickFig Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Given that we're 6 pages into a very talkative day 1.... Wow, I just realized we have 2 people with one post and 3 more with only 2 posts, come on folks! Some of us may be busy photosynthesizing or something and with as many posts as we already have there's not much for a tree to add. Oh shut up, Catarina. You're not the only female. What do you think Vickory Dickory is? ... Are they just men in drag? Don't knock it 'til you try it! I'm not Hickory Dickory Dock! I'm Simon. Get it right! Are you saying we all look alike to you?? I was very jealous of Hickory Dickory Dock because that is clearly my name, but no I am Simon, so there. No, I'm Vicky Vickory Hickory Dickory Dock etc etc etc, you're Simon Persimmons. Maybe the confusion is happening because a few trees (Simon Persimmon, Bruce Spruce, William Willow, Nash Ash) seem to be living in a forest that the rest of us are not quite understanding. They don't seem to be very united right now and I don't think they are, it just seems like there are a couple of levels going on. I'm at the bottom level, personally, what with the photosynthesizing taking up my time.... Vote: Alastair Pear (Brickelodeon) For posting more fluff (that I noticed) than anyone else, and a little flailing lately. Who knows, I might just cast in a vote on a random tree... Wonderfully helpful.
Brickelodeon Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Okay Hazel, I am satisfied. But I would like to see you a lot more active. Unvote: Hazel Hazelnut (Goliath)
Yzalirk Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Wonderfully helpful. And what have you done..? Okay Hazel, I am satisfied. But I would like to see you a lot more active. Unvote: Hazel Hazelnut (Goliath) I don't blame you for "poking" at me, I would have done it myself if I weren't me, if that makes any sense.
Hinckley Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Okay Hazel, I am satisfied. But I would like to see you a lot more active. Unvote: Hazel Hazelnut (Goliath) You're satisfied that he might throw a random vote out??
Brickelodeon Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Vote: Alastair Pear (Brickelodeon)For posting more fluff (that I noticed) than anyone else, and a little flailing lately. *Busts his nuts (the tree kind) laughing* So you are really going to vote for me because I did the same thing that 90% of the other trees did? This entire day has been nothing but fluff, and 2/3 our your own posts have been fluff. The other 1/3 has been voting for me. I won't bother to defend myself further, seeing as this is total bull-fertilizer.
Hinckley Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I've already stated them, are you seriously not lying any attention to what I've said? I'm paying close attention to what you've said. it is entirely possible that an Oak would make the same assumption. It seems to me you've only discussed one possibility. Can you point out where you named all the other ones?
Brickelodeon Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 You're satisfied that he might throw a random vote out?? No, but honestly, what else can she do? If what she says is true, she has no clue what is going on, or who would be a good vote. I'm pretty sure she will just end up badwagoning at the end of the day.
TheLazyChicken Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Vote: Larry Larch (TheLazyChicken) partly because he refuses to put his damn name in his signature as has been repeatedly requested, but moreso for: Defending two people for seemingly no reason. Specifically because you are trying to stop people for voting for other people but not offering any alternatives, reasons or votes of your own. You tell William his reasoning is off and then you say he's not helpful. Well, is he just dumb? Inexperienced? Uninformed? A Maple himself? Similarly, you defend Bobby's post-editing to Chester and again seem concerned with the argument for voting for Bruce. I don't like Bobby or Berty's behavior either. Berty, for the reasons I've already stated and Bobby for defending him. I know Bobby says he wasn't but I think his justification has holes in it too. I see where you are coming from but I'm not trying to defend them, I'm just curious about those two votes because I don't find those two people suspicious. As for my vote, no one has struck me as scum yet The only reason I defended Bobby was because editing a post is not something I find scum would really do. He also did it last game we played together so I wasn't really on board on the fact that he was scum just for editing a post.
Tamamono Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Why can't we lynch two trees at once? Life is suffering. Alastair being satisfied with hazel showing up to just say "hey I'm here, I'll post again in a few days" takes the cake. I'm itching to vote Alastair, but Berty has been mega scummy - and he must be vanilla if he's town, so it's a safe lynch if by some stroke of misfortune he flips town. Why must we choose??
TheLazyChicken Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Allow me to explain then. I believe that Bruce Spruce made the statements calling people out to appear as oak. That's what it seems like to me. As a real oak does not need to APPEAR helpful, I think this behaviour is suspect. Combine that with the baseless maple read situation and I feel confident in my vote. Oh, ok, I see what you meant now.
Hinckley Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I see where you are coming from but I'm not trying to defend them, I'm just curious about those two votes because I don't find those two people suspicious. As for my vote, no one has struck me as scum yet I'm not convinced my vote is in the best place, but I've seen Scum perspective before where a player thinks they need to ingratiate themselves with Townies and just defend players either to make friends or to appear like they're making positive contributions and forget that they should be finding suspicions, not rationalizing other people's suspicions away. Alastair being satisfied with hazel showing up to just say "hey I'm here, I'll post again in a few days" takes the cake. That did make me laugh out loud. Even better is that Hazel offers to throw out a random vote.
Lady K Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Wow, I just realized we have 2 people with one post and 3 more with only 2 posts, come on folks! But my real reason for this post is because I realized I formatted my vote wrong vote: Catarina Dogwood (adventurer1) For all that stuff I said early... Really, you bring up that some have only one post or two posts and then vote for me for excessive fluffy posts, on Day 1? At least I'm active. Great idea trying to get rid of an active player. I've already stated them, are you seriously not lying any attention to what I've said? I'm not defending anytree really, It's just that I don't see anything overtly Maple-y in what has been said so far, muddled Oakyness yes, but nothing that screams Maple. I think I've said this before. Why are you typing (if trees can type that is) maple in red and oak in green? And you typed the word lying? Interesting. Okay, I looked back and caught up with all the puns and some the "morning wood" joke, very funny by the way, but I'm not set on a tree to mark the beginning of this deforestation simply because there's too much puns by too many people. So I don't see a tree to vote for right now at this very second in my eyes, if I had eyes. Who knows, I might just cast in a vote on a random tree... This is seriously maple like behavior to vote on a random tree for no reason.
Brickelodeon Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm satisfied with Hazel's explanation, not her just talking. How can you not know that? You are really anxious to get someone other than yourself lynched.
Tamamono Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm satisfied with Hazel's explanation, not her just talking. Quote the exact line that satisfied you.
Hinckley Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm satisfied with Hazel's explanation, not her just talking. I am surprised you are satisfied with her plan to vote for a random player. How does that satisfy you?
Brickelodeon Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 As you wish. My internet has been down for a majority of the day so I couldn't help. If this isn't a good enough reason why she hasn't talked, I don't know what is. I am surprised you are satisfied with her plan to vote for a random player. How does that satisfy you? Gosh, maybe I should be more specific with my posts. I'm satisfied with her explanation of why she hasn't been active. I don't like the fact that she will throw a random vote out there, but how can she help it if she doesn't know what is going on?
Lady K Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 As you wish. If this isn't a good enough reason why she hasn't talked, I don't know what is. Gosh, maybe I should be more specific with my posts. I'm satisfied with her explanation of why she hasn't been active. I don't like the fact that she will throw a random vote out there, but how can she help it if she doesn't know what is going on? It's not her not being active, its the voting a random player. Honestly that is maple tree behavior! We have plenty of time for voting, plenty of time for Hazel Hazelnut to fully catch up.
Tamamono Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Gosh, maybe I should be more specific with my posts. I'm satisfied with her explanation of why she hasn't been active. I don't like the fact that she will throw a random vote out there, but how can she help it if she doesn't know what is going on? So the fact that she has an excuse for being inactive means she doesn't warrant a vote anymore? Can Maples' intreenet not be down? What's more, when has inactivity in a vacuum ever been scummy? Most scum fly the middle road.
Scaevola Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 As you wish. Hmm maybe she could read the thread?
Tamamono Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Unvote: Berty Birch (Dragonfire) Vote: Alastair Pear (Brickelodeon)
Lady K Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Actually, your thinking/ defending her this way is maple tree behavior.
Brickelodeon Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Acting like a noob sapling is what Hazel does. It does bother me that she will end up bandwagoning, but it's not enough evidence for me to keep my vote on her. I was throwing a poke at her to get an explanation for her lack of talking, and I got that, so I'm happy.
Lady K Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 If Bruce Spruce hadn't just changed his vote to Alister Pear, I might have. As it is, this whole thing with Alister Pear and Hazel Hazelnut, Betty Birch and Bobby Beech has me trying to decide who is the most maple treeish and deserving of my vote.
Hinckley Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Okay, I looked back and caught up with all the puns and some the "morning wood" joke, very funny by the way, but I'm not set on a tree to mark the beginning of this deforestation simply because there's too much puns by too many people. So I don't see a tree to vote for right now at this very second in my eyes, if I had eyes. Who knows, I might just cast in a vote on a random tree... This bugs me even more. Bold added for emphasis. There's a lot more than puns in this discussion. I don't know if you're a lazy Oak or a Maple that thinks it's a viable excuse to not cast a vote, but neither helps us find the Maples.
Scaevola Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Voting for Alastair is oh so tantalizing... Berty's fishing was certainly scummy but I suppose could be interpreted as a newb mistake. Alastair has been just plain irrational. She's done nothing but fluff and regurgitate the ideas of fellow trees. And being satisfied that Hazel will vote for a random player "because she can't help it," . I cannot fathom how this can pass as oakliness. Even if Alastair isn't scum, this will be a fine purgative to multitudes of future verbal pollution. In fact, I've convinced myself. Unvote: Berty Birch (Dragonfire) Vote: Alastair Pear (Brickelodeon)
