I like them in DBG, they give a nice contrast with the rim. Maybe that is their idea too.

Interesting, I prefer them in LBG because actual truck wheels don't have contrasting rims ( as far as I am aware). I think flipping the wheels inside out and having the wheel covers done in LBG would look better... something to experiment with once I get my hands on this beast.

3 more days and the wait is over.... :excited:

You will have to use a 5 long axle with stop to achieve that was my idea aswell but tyre catches when turning sharp.

I'm not keen on these wheels being turned inside out. On my own moc i've used them in the normal way for now, but I might try the inside out way and put six pins in the hub and add pulley wheels. We can always have fun experimenting. On the 42043 I guess it's one way of adding more parts and making the set more desireable. I think I might be waiting until christmas now, not met my goal so can't justify buying it. Hope to get the pneumatics though.

Well as Horace T said, you could use 3/4 pins to attach the pulley wheels and keep using the 4 axle with stop.... And where exactly does wheel rub against? Can you change a few of those pieces around ?

I wonder if the wheels from the 8448 super street sensation or the 8462 Tow Truck will work OK with the arocs and not get caught on any of the chassis or bodywork.

they will not. I don't know why you'd want to anyway, IMO those are the ugliest wheels ever made by TLG and they'd be horribly out of scale.

Are the instructions available for Arocs? I tried Lego but no luck.

I have got the set but it is all in one thick book and want to find a digital version.

For the dutch members among us. The 42043 Arocs is in stock on intertoys.nl . I ordered it and im receiving it tommorow for the price of 185 euros. I also checked 2 local Intertoys stores but they didnt had any in stock.

For Dutch people, I have good experiences with marktplaats.nl

Just wait a little while and this set is sold for about €20 to €30,- less than on or in Intertoys.

And new in sealed box.

Question 1 where the yellow shock ends above the axle

Question 2 You can but I think you will have redesign the Axle to do that

I will try the 3/4 pin tonight and see if it works Thanks for that Horace T  ..... didn't even think of such a simple solution.

Why would you do that? They won't work plus those tyres are absolutely ugly and not meant for truck!

What you want instead are the old "68.8 X 24", same design as the actual Arocs but just a bit bigger.

Won't these be too big? Not to mention impossible to obtain! :)

About the "too big" they should be fine, obvioulsy only a real test would confirm this..but there is plenty of room.

About impossible to obtain there is no doubt you are rigth! They sell them for silly money!

another speed build and review, this aussie lego fan builds loads of old Technic sets...check out his channel:

He's from Austria, not Australia. So, he is no Aussie ;)

Great find, though.

Yes from germany.....just wait few more days and they will be available at the customer service for much less...

Do you think? Or will they be like the servo motor which took many months to become available?

Allap let's hope this doesn't happen!! I mean TLG knows we've been waiting 20 years for new pneumatics, they have to ge them out now!

To have longer cylinders it means also a new generation of MOCs, old ones will be rivisited aswell. I really can't wait anymore! Let's see at the beginnin gof next week if there are some updates at the Pick a Brick!

Let's hope so. Their priority will first be to have enough to supply the arocs sets, and then any 1h2016 sets which have them fingers crossed. Only after they know they'll have enough (which they might have already) will they supply parts for pick a brick. Besides, pick a brick may not be the best section of the Lego website to look. Bricks and pieces will be your best option.

yes sorry I meant B&P.....anyway don't forget that there are lot's of big sellers out there who buy huge quantity of bricks/parts. I'm sure Lego has already produced a lot of those "magic yellow tubes"

Anyway...time to pop in at Argos now.....

I remember trying to order pneumatic components from LEGO when 8110 came out and was told that they only sold the pneumatics as a pack. In other words, you had to order the bag which contained ALL the pneumatic components from 8110 and could not buy just actuators. Jim's review shows that all pneumatic parts come in a single bag again in 42043, so it would not surprise me if they are only available the same way.

I was told the same thing a couple of months ago. Couldn't understand why the hoses were so damn expensive when looking through the inventory of 42008, so when I saw some fairly long tubes listed at 0.30 NOK (UK£ = 0.03 roughly) I ordered 50 of them together with other parts from Bricks&Pieces. Everything went OK, until I got a secong confirmation e-mail, showing a total price of more than 7000 NOK. Called customer service, and they told me they'd made a mistake in the price listing, and also that the pneumatic parts from the set was sold together as one item.

However, I have previously on more than one occasion bought small cylinders there successfully, as they are (brand new) half the price they are on Bricklink

Maybe the pneumatic parts are made out of house like the PF parts if I'm not mistaken, which is why they come in their own bag? I dunno, just speculating now.

Anyway...time to pop in at Argos now.....

Good luck, and may the funds be with you!

Very good point Blak! But hopefully they may take the single pneumatics apart and sell them separately! After all the do produce them one by one....so shouldn't be too hard to separate and sell them on their own!

Good luck, and may the funds be with you!

Got it! only one in the store! Unfortunately now I can't build it...will wait and do it during the weekend!!!

P.S. OMG these cylinders look soooooooo niceeeeeeee!!!
