Henkl Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 That is a shame. Good luck. I got today my second Arocs. Lucky me, i have a big collection but the biggest problem is where to put them. Quote
6ix Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I also bought this set today and started the build tonight. I'm still at the number 1 bags, taking it really slow, enjoying the build and learning the mechanics involved. Before starting the 24 Hours Race Car earlier this week and now this set, I didn't know so much building went just into the structure. Quote
Rail Co Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I arranged my hoses EXACTLY to the instructions and my crane turns perfectly, I would recommend taking the hoses out and redoing them. Everything you connect a pair of hoses turn the crane 180 each way and make sure it works if it doesn't bend the hoses accordingly repeat for all hoses. That is what I did when i first built it and it worked for me. Also make sure none are sticking to far out on the underside of the crane that can cause issues too Good Luck! -Railco Quote
6ix Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I finished this build tonight (and loved it, took me some 10 hours I guess) and the functions mostly seems to work fine for me. Mostly, because the crane arm falls down instead of slowly moving down. Is this common? Quote
Rishab N Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I don't own the set but in my experience with pneumatics, that has usually been the case. I think its due to the weight of the arm Quote
6ix Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks. Yeah, that's my thought as well. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Yes that's normal... It helps just to move the stick very gently to softly control the down movement... Max... Edited September 14, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
vliet Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I found another error in the instructions, on page 328 the front bumper is already on the truck, only on page 329 you start assembling it. I noticed it today when I built my second Arocs cabin for another truck Quote
Rail Co Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I found that same thing when i was building mine i forgot to post about that! -RailCo Quote
paul_delahaye Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Anyone in the UK looking to pick up 3 of these beauties, Argos has 3 for 2 on Toys until Tuesday. The last few years this offer has been a challenge looking for 3 of the big sets in one store, but they have introduced a new fast track, I was lucky enough to find a store that had 2 in stock, and the 3rd could be delivered into store. With an extra £10 off voucher, I've got 3 of these sets for £329.98 - £110 each, Boxes were in usual Argos battered condition and covered in stickers, but now just have to restrain my self until Christmas! ToukoJapani Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Hello, I'm building a B model of this M-B with some modifications. It's using a second battery box in the trailer so the crane can be used separately. The model will be also be RC motorized like this: You can find the instructions here: I'll add some photos later. TheRubio Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I've got the B-model instructions!! Although it is not published on Lego yet, a lovely lady from Lego customer services has provided me with that. Here are the links: http://cache.lego.com/r/service/-/media/franchises/technic/products/bi/b%20models/42043BDigitalbi1240.pdf http://cache.lego.com/r/service/-/media/franchises/technic/products/bi/b%20models/42043bdigitalbi241472.pdf Have fun building! Hello everybody, Long time reader, first time poster :) Does anyone have working links for the B-model? These don't work anymore, and they don't have them on the official site... I haven't started yet, but since it's kind of a challenging build, I'm thinking maybe I should start with the B-model... Quote
allanp Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) The B model won't be any less challenging than the A model. Does this link work for you? remember to click "show more". https://wwwsecure.us...rue#?text=42043 Edited October 11, 2015 by allanp Quote

ToukoJapani Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Ok, maybe there is some kind of tecnical problem. I did download those a week ago. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 @Samolot: This is just stunning. It looks great. Great details (folding stairs and reeling), and the simulator platform is phenomenal. The Black colour works great. Are the outriggers able to lift the whole truck? Quote

I wrote to customer service yesterday, still haven't heard back... We'll see... For now I started with the A-model, first part went well :) Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Samolot... that is great! You should make extra topic for this... very good work... :) Max... Quote
MrPaulo23 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I started building mine, section by section. I started with bag 6 because of the taller bed design I made which most of you guys have already done, I'm done with bags 1 and 2 and taking this approach on building the sets has benefits for me, I can see if there are parts the I can replace for color coordination as well as add parts that I think will make it look more appealing and to add stability to the set. I want to replace the rear shocks with the same shocks used for the front suspension, has anyone done that too? I think the rear shocks are designed more for a softer rear ride and because of the set being rear empty. If I alter the rear shocks will it be worth the try? Quote
