ComMix Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I totally agree, fasterthanlight. Looks just like the normal turntable to me. But who knows, i wear glasses Quote
allanp Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The main issue with the old turn table was that the two halves were held together on the edges of the inner hole only. The outer edges just rubbed against each other. This new one looks to be clipped together round the much larger outer edge making it more solid. Quote
ComMix Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I see. You assume because we cannot see any grey line under the black part on top (just cheked with my Unimog). Could possibly be and would be at least an improvement. Nevertheless i´d like to have a bigger one also. Quote

On closer inspection I also think it's a tiny bit bigger with bevelled teeth, again like the 28t turntable, possibly 60t? Edited January 28, 2015 by allanp Quote
davidmull Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Though I'm not certain about the exact definition of "moaning," maybe nagging is a better word? EDIT: Also; Fire Plane? Isn't this the MB Arocs topic? END EDIT. (and those quotes are just from the last couple of hours) This is obviously your opinion! That doesn't make it everyone else's opinion! Given that it's not even released for another 7-8-9 months, how can you be so sure, and how is it obvious? I wholly agree that this will probably be one awesome set, but it's by no means perfect, and people are allowed to voice their opinions and come with constructive criticism regarding certain parts of the construction without you shooting them down and defining them as moaners. I'm pretty sure we all think this set is exciting and looks great Firstly I Havnt once nagged about the model just praised it. The designers put serious input into this model I just hate people knocking it over stupid things. Secondly we are years waiting for longer cylinders and finally we got our wish. Fair enough everyone has there opinion but to say the cab is ugly is a bit of a joke as it's exactly like the real thing. I'm not sure which country your from but in Europe that's how cabs look. Now maybe we can get back on topic :) Quote
ComMix Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Sadly i do not have one of those small Turntables at hand here but looking at the pictures on bricklink i also can see something like that (first thougth it is a light reflex). Quote

Rishab N Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Wow this topic grew 6 pages in a day. Hype is real Loving the model tho. I actually like how the cab looks. There are a couple tiny things I don't like such as the thin yellow liftarms in the crane and the front end of the truck seems a bit more hollow than the rear . BTW What's the 4th pneumatic function? There's two lifts for the crane and the small cylinder for the bucket and what else? Also is the gearbox pump, dump bed, turn table, and outriggers? allanp Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 There's the 1x11 ram to extend the boom. Quote
ComMix Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 There is a 1 wide new cylinder that extends the upper arm. On the gearbox i think you got it all according to the videos. Quote
nicjasno Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 It has the same dimensions, but now clicks together at the edges, instead of in the middle, just like the small 28 tooth turntables. Quote
allanp Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) My money is on 60 bevelled teeth. It would make sense to increase it to 60 with the bevelled teeth. Edited January 28, 2015 by allanp Quote

Alan your talking more about the turntable than the new cylinders ha to me it sure does look like a new turntable. Do some respect for other opinions or get over it! Its easy... No i won't get over it!!! Quote
aminnich Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I think we all know that the steering is a little odd... but my thought is, is that they used those parts because they needed them for the b-model. Just my thought Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Finally we got new longer cylinders and a new turntable. But sadly no new valves.. Quote

For sure I gotta stock up on those longer cylinders. Imagine the excavators, back hoes, small forklifts, skip lorries, front end loaders that can and will be built by MOCers, all the future official sets that will use these new cylinders and all those official sets that came with LAs that can now be put right! It's gonna be wonderful I tell ya! Edited January 28, 2015 by allanp Quote

jantjeuh Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The side view really shows the tyres are too small. Would be awesome if we could get some bigger tyres for the final version, but I doubt it. Quote
jovel Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Edit: In the circle there goes a 12z to the turntable. Also, at the rear, they use the grey springs for the suspension instead of the yellow ones. Edited January 28, 2015 by jovel Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Great find, Jovel. It looks like we will be getting a new and improved turntable after all. Quote
allanp Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Well spotted and I was right Edited January 28, 2015 by allanp Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Dear Lego.... Dude, this is by far the best post in this topic, I'm still laughing my megablocks off!!! Quote
aminnich Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 i think i am going to buy this just for the parts Quote
fasterthanlight Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I wish they made the new pneumatics in a neutral colour like LBG so they wouldn't stick out as much in well colour coordinated MOCs... Quote
andythenorth Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Tyres too small? Dunno. Looks ok to me. http://i.autotrader....1337cdfadba/600 Edited January 28, 2015 by andythenorth Quote
