According to BZP's Toy Fair report, Jango, Cody and Luke will cost 19,99$, Obi-Wan will cost 24,99$, Vader 29,99$ and Grievous 34,99$ (for the US). Which will respectively translate to 19,99€, 24,99€, 29,99€ and 34,99€ for European countries. :hmpf_bad:

I'm hoping the GBP prices translate to this: Jango, Cody and Luke £14.99; Obi-Wan £17.99 - £19.99; Vader £24.99; Grievous £29.99. Those seem about right to me, though a little disappointed that Obi-Wan could potentially have £5 added to the cheapest set price just because he has a cape...

But if they just take all the US prices and just stick a pound sign on them (like they did with Queen Beast, that set is not worth £35!), I will not be happy, especially when I want 2 of each set :hmpf_bad:

I lol'd at all the people geting salty about the set not being Boba.

Jango has some nice Sand Blue... Yeah, my Matoro revamp's getting CCBS arms now. However, I'll prolly get them off Bricks and Pieces or BL, rather than shell out the money for Jango's set.

Honestly, Grievous is the only must-have from this wave. Vader and Obi are nice, but I'd rather save my money for more Bonkle. cody and Jango just don't appeal, and I don't think anyone likes Luke.

What do you think will be in later waves? I'm guessing Darth Maul, EpIII Anakin, and Boba. Probably Han as well. I'd also like to see a generic white Clone/Stormtrooper, and a Magnaguard, but that last one's unlikely.

I'm almost sure the sets will be from the next movie. Stormtroopper with new design, that cross lightsaber sith, Old Han, Old Leia, chewbacca, etc.

I really don't get the design with Luke, the shackles are useless, break the character and would had better been used for it to have a more solid design,

Whatever the next wave holds I think it's safe to assume it'll keep the half villains, half heroes formula as this one. Wouldn't mind getting that Cody buffed into Rex..

I hope it's not 100% The Force Awakens, though. I definitely want to see the Sith and the new lightsaber (if they made a special hilt piece it'd be excellent for Bionicle swords too!), but I'd like to see something from the Old Trilogy too, like Yoda and/or Boba (the sand green! The sand green!) and C-3PO (for new gold shells).
Or bring back the old titanium blue

I CAN DREAM OK

I know you know it's discontinued, but you do bring up a good point. We used to have a bunch of awesome metallic colours like blue, green or copper, but it's all silver/gunmetal/gold these days. It's good that they simplified the palette a bit, but these are actually colours that are missing.

It could be even worse than that, they can still have the gall to add 5 Euro to each set, with Grievous reaching the 40 Euro point. I sure as heck hope this doesn't happen and I do think they'd shoot themselves in the foot if they did it, but it's not they haven't done stuff like this in the past- there's a System set this year that went from 40 dollars to 50 Euro in Europe!

Oh god... What if there's combo models?

If there are any, I bet that they're like the Chima ones from 2014- powered up versions of the characters. I'm not sure how they're going to work Grievous in though, with how simple combo models are getting these days

Like Shakar, I'm also hoping that any future waves are not all Force Awakens-centric. I'd be okay with perhaps a hero and a villain from TFA (since this wave appears to be done in duelling pairs? Luke/Vader, Obi/Grievous, Cody/Jango, though I admit Cody/Jango is not the most logical pairing unlike the other two...), and maybe we can have another pairing from the OT and one from the PT.

I'd personally like to see more droids (which seems the best fit for CCBS) in future waves: C-3PO, R2-D2, B1 Battle Droids, B2 "Super" Battle Droids, MagnaGuards, Droidekas (complete with rolling up function a little like the Bohrok had  ) and so on. The only thing is - I reckon the main reason we haven't seen Threepio and Artoo is their lack of "conflict", so suddenly likely sounding candidates for CCBS treatment are suddenly unlikely - for that reason alone :look:

No, I don't consider Grievous a droid either, because he isn't one

I'm not sure what it is about Luke's design that people think needs to be "more solid"? I mean, his back armor isn't the absolute best, but at least it's less gappy than the back armor on Cody and Jango. And his legs are more filled out than either of those sets as well. All things considered, despite being a bit mundane on account of his monochrome costume and lack of decorative armor, Luke strikes me as the most solid of the $20 builds.

In general, I've seen a lot of hate for the "human" characters, but they're actually some of my favorites and I hope there are more in future waves. Having fairly generic human heads in CCBS is something I greatly appreciate, and Luke and Obi-Wan both have nice proportions and fairly solid builds. Granted, I appreciate Vader and Grievous in terms of sheer creativity, and Cody and Jango have some great pieces, but they don't interest me quite so much, in part because their heads are unmistakeably Star Wars character heads.

Anyway, wonder if we'll get a turnaround of Obi-Wan today, or if they simply didn't bother to do one for him on account of his cape.

I agree, more droids would be great! I'm not so interested in MagnaGuards, but all the other examples you listed could be quite cool sets.

I'd also love a generic Imperial Stormtrooper, some female characters like Leia and Padme, and some alien characters like Chewbacca (though I'm now wondering how well he could be pulled off — the Chima fur detail element might be a bit too cartoony compared to the other characters in this range). Not to mention other major characters like Han. Overall, I see a lot of potential for future sets in this range, provided it sells well.

Dorek, I think I would have the Luke head, then the nightmare of opening the Mistika Canister again

Also I agree with GK, Luke having his Pilot Suit would had been much better, plus using the clone body armor with that printing is really horrible.

I do like your list, I also second the need for some alien characters and a Stormtrooper as well as the droids. I can't see Chewbacca working all that well in CCBS though (like you said), but if they did, I can see him giving us lots more Reddish Brown shells in new sizes (something only Ogrum and CHI Mungus as well as a couple of System sets have given us so far).

A MagnaGuard would be quite good though - in ROTS, two are used as Grievous' bodyguards so to have a MagnaGuard set to go with Grievous in the future would be quite nice, but really unlikely, and on their own they would probably struggle to sell anyway as they're not the best known droids. Maybe I'll MOC one at some point.

I quite like the human figures too, they are miles better than anything we got in Super Heroes in my opinion. Assuming Luke's and Obi-Wan's build are very similar, I can't see why you can't put Furno XL's cape on Luke if the back armour bothers people (in fact, I might do that).

I would guess Luke is in the black outfit to better symbolize his "showdown" with Vader. Which is a damn shame, I would have loved some new orange parts and the helmet would do wonders for making the headsculpt more bearable.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I think CCBS humans would look pretty bad, TBH. By that merit, I think all of the heads are pretty useless as heads.

Their only use is for some system shop dioramas. Luke is too ugly to use anywhere, rest are too iconic to their characters expect for Obi. Grievious could work as a lower jaw for some creature.

I do wish his chest area were a little bit more heavily armored, since that was the most heavily armored part of the actual character, but I love the creativity of his build.

Seeing as he's based of this:

I would say he's pretty much dead on accurate, I think the people who are dissatisfied are comparing him to the movie version, which is not what he's based of.

Thinking about it, I would have loved it if all the helmeted characters actually had removable helmets so you could reveal their faces (just like you can with minifigures), though I understand why LEGO didn't go down this route (the need to make new or recoloured headsculpts in a line that already is chock full of new prints, moulds and recolours would have probably pushed prices up even further)

Having said that though, I don't think it would have impressed the human headsculpt haters that much

I actually just ordered a pair, mainly for tan CCBS! I've actually bought stuff by this company before, and it's decent - not amazing, but not bad.

That's pretty bad, but that torso.. oh how I wish they used the Breakout shell again. I see 4M shells too (and 5M, but the the 6M are close enough anyway).

I'd like that cape too, but I fear it'd be of low quality.

I actually saw that on Amazon.co.uk (complete with rip-off pricing!) a whole half a day before Grievous got his grand reveal, while looking for Jurassic World set listings. I found it really funny when I saw it, then the Grievous figure was revealed the same day. Seemed like a weird coincidence

I prefer the official Grievous though, though at least this one has a cape...
