Quisoves Pugnat Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 The thing is, there is no pointy add-ons, it's one single piece. Snap, you're right! I guess I misinterpreted the picture of General Greivous. Quote
Leewan Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Don't say that, you know you like Clone Commander Luke ! Yeah, not so bad. Kinda looks like Luke in the Stormtrooper disguise. Two weeks early, eh? Three, actually. The release date is September 4th. Wouldn't you like to see Darth Grievous? Luke Grievous would be far more entertaining (and horrifying) IMO In fact, we're planning a contest in October / November where people will have to build the weirdest and creepiest combiner out of these sets. The prize for the winner will be a life-sized CCBS Jar-Jar bust. Quote

Leewan Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Here I actually want a CCBS Jar Jar for the parts... ;) Yeah, he would be a very good parts pack. The boxes of all the sets (from here) : Strange how they're all (except Cody) posing and fighting in the background at the same time. Quote
mysteriouspi Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Ok, that Grievous box art has 100% convinced me I need him. If not for display, definitely for parts (I lack a lot of the longer bone pieces so he's a fantastic snatch). I'l probably get Jango. Vader, maybe. Would get Cody but I think I'll wait for the First Order trooper. Quote
One Very Agile Cat Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I want Vader, but everyone else I'd probably only buy for parts. Great parts, though. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Vader and Grevious are day one purchases when they come out. If only for parts. The others I'll skip unless they happen to go on clearance someday. Quote
FordianL Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I'd love to see the parts inventory on these figures. I've been looking for the long CCBS torso frame in recent sets, but the haven't been present. When I first saw these, I knew they would be included. Anyone have the instructions to show off the parts inventory? Quote
N-4K0 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) I want Vader and Grievous, they look badass Would be funny to switch their heads and make General Vader and Darth Grievous Edited August 15, 2015 by Error404 Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I want Vader and Grievous, they look badass Would be funny to switch their heads and make General Vader and Darth Grievous Grievous looks best, how much is he? Quote
mysteriouspi Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Grievous looks best, how much is he? I want to say $35, but that number is off the top of my head. Seems fairly reasonable for a figure as large as he is. Quote
Kalhiki Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Grievous, as I've said, is a must buy. The rest I'll decide later on. Box art could be a bit better... As Leewan said, they're posed and also in the background. Plus, reusing the same artwork on Luke/Vader and Grievous/Obi seems kinda... Lazy... I mean, I get it that the two are being pitted against each other and it shows the conflict there, but... I don't know. Just seems like they could all have something unique. Quote
Refy L.S. Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Looks like America will be getting these last yet again. Trust me, you definitely won't be last. Sadly, no ad or combiner models on the boxes/instructions. Here is Jango, and I feel like he's the least good of the three. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it just doesn't have anything making him particular apart from a good selection of pieces. -snip- Please excuse the quality of this picture, it suddenly got dark with a small storm here. He looks like a fairly usable parts pack. Are all of the sand blue shells the same length? Quote
GK733 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Trust me, you definitely won't be last. He looks like a fairly usable parts pack. Are all of the sand blue shells the same length? Only 4 sandblue parts, 2 shells are smaller and the two bigger ones are printed un-usable unless you like taking their print off. Quote
Refy L.S. Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Only 4 sandblue parts, 2 shells are smaller and the two bigger ones are printed un-usable unless you like taking their print off. Oh, so there are two different lengths? Nice. Will definitely be breaking out the Brasso on Jango when I get him (because yeah those prints don't even look good on the actual set IMO). Kind of annoying though, to see that Star Wars has a much higher budget for recolors than the CCBS flagship theme. Oh well. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Hold on a minute... am I seeing things, or is that Black 8M shells on Vader's upper arms? If so... The middle part of the shell on Vader's upper arm seems elongated compared to the middle part of the shell on Vader's upper leg, which I know for definite is a 6M shell. However, the more I look at Grievous; legs, the more messy and incoherent they look. Nothing a few simple mods and extra tan shells couldn't fix, but still I'm still wondering how much these are all going to be in the Great British Pound... I need to see how (un)affordable two of each set (big fan of Star Wars, so I'm going to need one of each to keep together, plus another one of each to cannibalise for parts) is going to be Quote
Leewan Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I want to say $35, but that number is off the top of my head. Seems fairly reasonable for a figure as large as he is. Yes, he'll be 35 USD. Hold on a minute... am I seeing things, or is that Black 8M shells on Vader's upper arms? Unfortunately, you're seeing things. A 8M shell doesn't allow to attach the lower arm armour. So it has to be a 6M shell : Quote

The arms definitely look like they have 8M shells to me, yeah. Either way Darth Vader is pretty huge. Not tall compared to Grievous, perhaps, but huge. Quote
_shaddow_ Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 , where I build him and show off articulations, in french. Quote
mysteriouspi Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 No, they are not 8m shells and are printed. Fair enough. Never been excited about the printing, I know it adds to Vader but it makes the piece less versatile for MOCing. We'll see though. , where I build him and show off articulations, in french. Oh, if I could but understand French... Interesting build though. These guys are gonna be tall. Quote
DARTH SITH Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) Someone got Cody and made a review . Edited August 16, 2015 by DARTH SITH Quote
_shaddow_ Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Yeah, it's me, was going to post it, but you've already done my job. Jango will be up tomorrow. Quote
meowmachine Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I wish they made the printed chest pieces larger. They are too small for the $20 Bionicle sets too. Quote
