Posted July 22, 200717 yr Dear friends! After having had a digital avatar for the whole time since I joined, I was eager to create a real-life minifig of my own. I had a look at this, but they do not have a Holodoc. :'-( As I wasn
July 22, 200717 yr Eurobricks Emperor Very well done Doc! Painting this on a minifig requires the stable hand of a doctor. Maybe you could paint a mobile transmitter so your fig can move outside the medical facilities ;-)
July 22, 200717 yr The operation is a succes - the patient is still alive X-D! Well done Doc, now you can paint a Borg ! And you just accidently had your golden C3PO-bag in the same folder ..... ;-) - gah, I want one *wub*! Paint On copmike
July 22, 200717 yr You should be satisfied; it is very well done. Are you going to make this your avatar?
July 22, 200717 yr Great job. You might want to try making it on a decal next time so, if something were to happen to it, you could just print another out ;-) Like I said, great job, you made me like it despite the source material X-D
July 23, 200717 yr Great, I've seen all episodes of Voyager and almost all episodes of all Star Trek series, brings back a lot of good memories! Actually I've been planning to make some ST minifigs myself, but I'd use stickers. Did you paint the head as well using a plain yellow one, or is it just from some minifig I'm not aware of? Nice, but licensed products are flesh-toned. But Lego never had a Star Trek license, so the yellow face is correct... *sweet*
July 23, 200717 yr So this is what a Holodoc looks like. Nice one Mr Holodoc! The torso looks alot like the real thing. And the head... I thought you had hair? :-P Mr Tiber
July 23, 200717 yr Author Did you paint the head as well using a plain yellow one, or is it just from some minifig I'm not aware of? It was a plain yellow one, or -to be true- it was an old yellow head where the face had faded. I painted the face according to the digital one I had, only with smaller eyebrows. But Lego never had a Star Trek license, so the yellow face is correct... YES! :-P When I
July 23, 200717 yr Author Very nice, Holodoc, are you also planning to make his hospital? I thought of it some time ago. But I only have two or three pics of the sickbay (Voyager wasn
July 23, 200717 yr That is quite exceptional for a freehand paint job. *y* Now paint another arm with a mobile emitter so you can leave sickbay, ;-)
July 24, 200717 yr Fantastic job *y* ! I can't contemplate how difficult this must have been to paint.
July 24, 200717 yr IMO it looks amazing at a distance, or the smaller picture that you posted in your first post. I personally think it's well done, but there is room for improvement on the painting. Now I understand it's hard to paint very very steady with a hand on such a small fig and make it look almost perfect. I still think it looks terrific and I know I sure a heck could not paint the fig that well without trying over and over again. I think he looks awesome, there are perhaps some rooms for improvment. I do feel you did very well though Mr. Holodoc. Chewie P.S. I in no way mean for my above post to sound like I'm bashing your MOC or skills. If I made you feel like that I'm sorry. Keep up the great work and I'm sure you'll be able to make another even better looking Holodoc fig, perhaps with decals or an even better paintjob.
August 17, 200717 yr May I say; nice paintjob *y* I can't help but looking at him, your minifig seems, to grin like he has something strangely perverse, not to mention sadistic in mind and he's already enjoying himself by the mere thought of it. ;-) Edited August 17, 200717 yr by Hairy Ruben

Just for research purposes of course! :-P Seven UP ON! X-D
