Just playing through the Black Panther on free play and two of the characters that were chosen were Cap and Iron Man, which got me thinking: what if this "surprise" is a Civil War level(s) with Spider-Man and movie Zemo? I know they released a character pack with the launch of the game, but now that the movie is out the could put in some actual movie gameplay.

Well, Xbox and Wii U have yet to get the Civil War DLC, so they may be waiting for those platforms to get it before releasing any mission based DLC.

Man, kinda let down by the Agents of Shield pack. Just didn't do it for me. The character designs seemed really uninspired, though I guess maybe they just didn't translate to Lego format very well maybe? But I do think they could've easily been better. The only characters who looked anything like themselves were Cal, Ward and Lincoln. Some characters just looked too generic, (Fitz, Simmons, May), others were just poorly designed (Jiaying, Gordon and RAINA), and I don't know what was going on with Daisy's hair. Bobbi and Deathlok looked really cool though. The level just seemed kinda bland too, idk.

Finally unlocked all of the characters currently available to me (Us Wii U plebs don't get special treatment, so no Civil War or Ant-Man for me yet), had a little bit of rage over how amazingly bad the character creator is, but otherwise, I find the game pretty solid in terms of who you can play as. There are some duds, like Mark 38 "Igor", and Scarlet Witch being disappointingly underpowered, but there are some real treats, like Fin Fang Foom (Going Kaiju-sized was awesome), Stan Lee, Squirrel Girl, and Iron Man's variety of suits.

I do want to discuss the character creator, though.The lack of ability to choose powers is a major disappointment, and they don't even have anything like the Lantern Rings to grant an easy but not super-obvious "Fly and shoot energy" powerset. The only thing close is Mjolnir, which is very obvious and requires a charge-up sequence to do energy stuff. On top of that, plenty of headgear and weapons aren't even present, like most of the Iron Man variants, the Ultron drone's helmet, Mandarin's rings, Sif's sword and shield, etc, so even on that field, your options are severely limited. They've kept this format for several games now (My earliest with it is Lego Marvel, but I've heard it originated in one of the Tolkien games), and I can't figure out why. I seriously hope that I'll be able to make a Jedi/Sith in Lego TFA without making them entirely out of Luke/Rey/Ren parts.

That's a shame because usually the Character Creator is fun. The LEGO Batman Videogame Character Creator has to be my favourite so far.

My favorite character creators are LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga and LEGO The Lord of the Rings.

I liked the one in Lego Batman 2, at least the 3DS one. You made your character, and you could give them any powerset. So I made a creepy-faced Batman and gave him Man-Bat's powers, and boom, Red Rain Batman. Complete with wings appearing in flight.

Man, I wish they would've included a few more spidey characters/villains. I feel it's safe to assume this is the last DLC for this game, with TFA coming out next month (?). We had a good run, definitely the best DLC for a lego game so far. Now if the Civil War and Antman packs would hurry up and come to Xbox, that'd be great.
