Asphalt Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Vindsval immediately scoops the boy into his arm, and runs him to his mother. His long legs allow him to travel the distance in next to no time. "To arms everyone, it appears we will be starting our adventure a bit earlier than the wood. Everyone pick a target. WE do not want to leave anyone with enough time to target the townsfolk." "Fly true and Strike Hard "Pathfinder"." The Cleric removes Verkenner, (WP:9, Darkness elemental Broomstick, ranged X2 Vs Humanoid)from its scabbard on his waste, and attacks the Raider Axeman with it, from the Back Row. Battle Order 1. The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Warlen casts a darkness elemental spell at the reaver, sighing as the darkness crept a little closer to his heart. Quote
Kintobor Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) At the sound of the cries, Annienal begins to hastily and somewhat clumsily unstrap her new shield and draws her Bonaparte cutlass. "That Enchanter's going to cause problem's, Vindsval. Put one of our heavy hitters, like Miderun first, and have her strike the Enchanter. I'd recommend you switch target's too, Vindsval. It'd be best to leave him for last and at least try to get some damage on him now and then leaving him for when his allies are defeated. If, um, you get where I'm coming from..." Annienal strikes the Exhausted Raider from the back row with the Bonaparte Cutlass. OOC: I'd recommend we leave the Enchanter alone after Miderun attacks him to ensure we don't run the risk of him healing his allies. I can soak up a few of his free hits later, and once the other three are dead we'll focus on the Enchanter. At least that's how I would plan this. It's up to you Asphalt. Actaeon's arrow hits its target, wounding him. Annienal takes damage, but only slightly. Vindsval swings his weapon down with a mighty crash, severely injuring the axeman. All the while, Warlen has been preparing his strike of darkness. When his time comes, he unleashes a shout and kills every single enemy aside from the enchanter. The party is invigorated with hope and unleash attacks once again. They miss. Miderun manages a hit on her next go as does Actaeon. Finally, Actaeon pulls three arrows from his quiver and knocks them together. He closes an eye and looks down the arrows, directly at the enchanter. He releases the drawstring. THUNK! THUNK! THUNK! Each arrow hits its mark. One to the neck, the next to the heart, and the third to the stomach. The Enchanter gurgles up blood and collapses to the ground. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! Asphalt Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) OOC: at level 11 Vindsval would have these stats I believe. Level: 11 Cleric *Gains Triple XP* *Immune to Asleep, Blinded, Confused, Fragile, and Weakened Effects* Power: 20 (11+9)(X2 against Humanoid and Holy/Luminous) Defense: 0 Health: 19/19 (9+10) Ether: 15/15 (5+10) Also just a minor note, the broomstick is a ranged weapon, not a swing it down kinda weapon. I picture weaponized brooms behaving kind of like a Blunt Yando's arrow from Guardian's of the Galaxy. Edited February 6, 2015 by Asphalt Quote
Kintobor Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) OOC: King, Annie attacked from the back row, so it should be 14/2=7-7=0 damage during the first round. Also, even if Annie took damage, you didn't mark it down in her stats. No biggie in the end, but I thought I'd mention it. Annienal stands up from her defensive position, panting slightly. She sits in the dirt and begins to remove the arrow notched into her shield. "That was, um... well, they were pretty irritating. I'm just glad we're all okay." She looks at Acteon, the curious ranger. She hadn't talked to him much, but she was curious about him. "Do you, um... mind telling me where you learned to shoot like that? You, um, have quite the good, if not, um, lethal aim." Edited February 5, 2015 by Kintobor Quote
Asphalt Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) Vindsval stands on the beach looking at the dead bodies before him. All of his compatriots came through with barely a scratch. It would seem the Wanderer truly was with them this day. He kneels in the surf and offers up the souls of these marauders to his god. Though they were meager foes he hopes the Great One accepts his offering. He finishes his prayers, stands, and collects the gear the men were carrying. "It is indeed a great omen to our quest, though for good or ill we will have to wait and see." In an attempt to see that everyone with him is as well prepared as they can be for the journey ahead he distributes the loot as follows. To Himself - Tonic X2, Gold X4 To Warlen - Mead X2, Tonic X3, Gold X4 To Annienal - Mead X1,Potion X2, Gold X4 To Actaeon -Sleepy Crossbow (WP:6; has a 1/6 chance to put the target to Fast Asleep; ranged; suitable for rangers, beast warriors, infiltrators and winged warriors.) "Glade Born and Barrens Strider you are both indeed blessed with skill and power beyond your appearance. I shall relish fighting at your side through this quest, Though perhaps not partaking in your wit." He directs the last towards Warlen in what he hopes is a good natured manner. He then turns to Annienal "Lady knight, you fared less well in this then the rest of us. If you would permit it, please allow me to heal your wounds. I wish to take no liberties without your consent. I have known those in my travels who would not sully themselves to be touched by one such as I." OOC: if the loot split is unacceptable let me know. CMP Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 "That could've gone better." Miderun stowed away her club and accepted the loot offered to her by Vindsval. "On my end, at least. Never thought you could hit something with a broomstick so hard. Who were these sarkuun?" Quote
Asphalt Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) "Indeed, I too am impressed by the might behind so simple an implement. I can imagine it is a weapons easily scoffed at. If these ,Sarkuun as you call them, are plaguing Tridentia, this beast may not be their only concern. Actaeon looks at the giant with brief indecision. He seems to be trying to reconcile, or at least keep the peace. At length, the ranger clenches his jaw, "Thank you." Good to know I don't look powerful or "blessed with skill", he thinks, annoyed by the giants backhanded-compliment. She looks at Acteon, the curious ranger. She hadn't talked to him much, but she was curious about him. "Do you, um... mind telling me where you learned to shoot like that? You, um, have quite the good, if not, um, lethal aim." Actaeon Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 "On second thought, I think I will buy the Nondescript cape," Actaeon says, handing the woman 40 coins. OOC: sorry, I can't bold because I am using my phone Quote
Asphalt Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 OOC: Vindsval's health and ether should be base +9 not base +7 Vindsval rolls his eyes at Fabio's obvious and ham handed flirtation. He thinks to himself. "It would be humorous to see what our warrior women would do to him if he attempted to lay a hand on either of them. Almost humorous to allow him to try." "Agreed Commander, though I am loath to leave our friends and the village unprotected, we need to be on our way. It is what we have come for. Everyone please finish your purchases so We Can Leave." Asphalt Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 OOC: Also, Warlen was lent Vindsval's spare Topaz. So for the quest that will be in his inventory. Quote
Kintobor Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Actaeon smiles at the shy knight, "Not at all! I trained myself over the years. My father owned an inn, so whenever we had men staying in the area for hunting season, I would ask them to teach me. Most of the time they would just give me tips, but a few of them actually showed me how to shoot. With that little bit of training, I practiced every chance I had to become what I am now!" After looking at Annie's sword, he asks, "Where did you get the cutlass?" "Sounds like you've met some curious characters over the years." Annienal looks her cutlass over. "Oh, um, this? It's a bit of a confusing story, but I got it while working with the Bonapartes. We wound up having to fight one of their own men, and I wound up with one of these in my possession. Although, after working with them I fear that the house has more problems than just deserters and in fighting." She replies, pensive in her thoughts. "I'm good to go." "Or as ready as I'll ever be." Annienal thought to herself. A decapitating monster... she'd prefer to run like a coward with a metaphorical tail between her legs. Then again, Fabio irked her too, and she hoped he'd either stay in the village or Miderun would snap him into shape. She looked at Miderun, eyeing her hood. Just what was underneath it that was worth hiding? Quote
