Everyone claims to Simon, ALL THE TIME. It's mandatory on EB that people claim to Simon or Speedy.

So... I can understand a Miller asking for advice, as he was planning to claim publicly anyway. The bomb claim is more suspicious, because they shouldn't have claimed to an unconfirmed tree. It's as suspicious as someone who would come specifically asking for the identity of the bomb. The Investigator claim takes the cake. Now, it could explain why Simon started the day by accusing me twice. I accuse Bruce on Day One, Bruce flips Oak during the night, now Simon "naturally" thinks I must be scum. So we are all Oaks, and Maples are laughing their butts off watching us bicker among ourselves. But there are other possibilities. There are too many convenient claims. Every single one of the unverified claims could easily hide a Maple. I won't believe any of this until this dream team delivers a Maple lynch. There's a lot I'd like to add to this but you know when I'm Town, I'm very very careful. Well, I am nowadays. Verify, verify, verify. I suspected you before I heard the verification of Bruce. Sorry. Call it Imhotep-burn, but your misrepresentations of what I was saying today don't help. I'm willing to take a step back. If I'm going to be part of a "dream team" I want to be able to help the Town focus. I'll do my best to bring suspicions with low light as much evidence as I can muster. You're trying too hard here, I still don't believe you. I believe him, but honestly, I don't like his attitude.

Um... refresh my memory? This is new information. I'm still looking into it, but someone asked me for the identity of the bomb. There's kind of justification for it, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's a ping for now.

Basically, before someone dies (this would work best for someone who's going to be lynched, since they know they'll die), they can send a list of codes to someone. They can say "investigator=12, vig=26, blocker=108, vanilla=89, 97, 53, 60 and 31". When they die, they can confer with the rest of the stumps and sort out everyone's roles and (maybe) targets. Then they'll say in public "Lauren was 87, Buck was 41, I was 62." Whoever was told the codes will then know their roles. As long as they didn't die too. How is it plausible? It's happened before and it will happen again. It's a terrible idea and could potentially cost the town the game, but people are going to claim to unverified leaders nonetheless. Personally, I'm going to Vote: Nash Ash (Zepher), because he's got "Maple" written all over him. Literally. They're right next to the etchings that say "Jimmy was here, 2012" and "Mindy luvs Brad"

I am suspicious of him too, but mostly because he accused me of being defensive when I was voicing my suspicions. He seemed to be doing the same thing I was accusing Sammy of. If, and I don't think this at this point, Sammy is Town then Nash could've been trying to raise suspicion against me since people were starting to claim to me. Other people have been suspect of him too. Can you voice your suspicions?

I realize how it looks with the investigator claiming to Simon, and I understand if you don't believe him yet (although I will say, to his credit, he's not playing like scum), but believe the results - that I'm an Oak. I see you're taking this very seriously. Lighten up a bit. This is fun. I insta-voted Catarina after her initial low light claim, and then second-guessed. I am leaning towards Sammy being town, and Nash capitalizing on his accusations. This is actually something really worth considering. I definitely think one of Sammy and Nash is a Maple. Neither of their accusations have held much weight, and they seem to be going about them in a really low-key way - almost as something they can pursue all situation if necessary. This is very characteristic of scum. Which one, though? Simon's case for Sammy is compelling, but Nash has been pretty blatantly scummy yesterday and today (mostly yesterday). I don't think they're a team. Adelaide, if Nash is scum, who do you think his partners are?

It also seems like Bobby is becoming more maple-y with his posts, so he is becoming one of my suspects. Last I checked, you quoted Simon. Or were you speaking to Chester? Do you think it's sufficient to make an Official List of People You Think Are Suspicious on Day 1 and call it a game?

And the fact that Simon could just be making up nonexistent claims that where never made is a possibility, although an unlikely one. If it's unlikely then what is the dripping suspicion towards me?

I thought it was established that people would privately create codes with people they trust and then if they get stumped, then the stumps can throw message each other to decode who had what role, and then communicate in code in-thread to the trusted townie? Did you miss the bit where it was Adelaide who originally proposed the code?
