A model in the scale that Lucio Switch mostley builds would be nice.. Like the Crashtender ore the Tracktortruck. I realy like

to see a big model not only in the quantaty of parts but also scale wise.

Fans could get to design a new motor!

Or a release of a mini remake of one of the sets. Like a mini Unimog or something.

Or Fans could try to design a new set. That would be awesome!

Given what we have just seen with the 2H 2016 sets.... I think we can take off "some big, bad, huge set" off our list. I think TLG delivered on that front. To be clear, I don't think we can want, or guess about bigger size at least. Sizes of Technic sets really have been exploding lately. 2011 - set a new benchmark with 8110 (just over 2,000 pieces). Then 42009 in like 2013 or so with just over 2600 pieces. Then the AROCS, just over 2700 pieces in 2015, and now two sets likely over 3,000 pieces! 2000 pieces is such old news that the THIRD largest set in the 2H 2016 line up is nearly that large. I don't see a set surpassing the new BWE @ nearly 4,000 pieces. Especially although the overall reaction is positive to these large sets.... that are many, many, people that despite clamoring for larger sets are now complaining that they are too expensive.

I agree with others who are guessing for either some new piece or system (rc, PF, whatever). To dazzle Technic fans TLG already delivered with huge sets, so now IMO they will have to dazzle us with something else.....

I think that despite what I personally would like them to do (mainly new parts as opposed to any particular vehicle/animal/whatever), there might not be anything done for the 40th anniversary. if they do anything it will probably be for the 50th.

Looks like the Bucket-Wheel Excavator IS the prime candidate to commemorate such anniversary.

So why should TLG do something special for the 40th anniversary of the Technic theme? I mean did we get something special for the 30th, 35th, ... anniversary???

I see no reason why TLG would do something special next year - as allanp said, it's more likely that they will do something special for the 50th anniversary.

Also, with the 2nd wave of 2016 we get a lot of great stuff ... plus the Porsche set will probably come with new motor (RC) components (PF2) ... let's just wait and see.

I really hope this prediction is correct, not that the PF system is bad, but I want the old RC motors back :/ They are expensive now... I really hope there are new motors, or something.

This is first technic set ever (according to brickset) http://brickset.com/...Fork-Lift-Truck , it will be very nostalgic if they choose forklift as set for 40. anniversary all with PF 2.0 and remote.I think RC forklift will be fun to play with it.

Totally agree! I want a RC forklift with FOUR empty containers like the one in 42009 B model, so I can play stacking them. The B model can be a telescopic handler that picks up the same containers.

Me I would like to see some of the old kits

Something that represents milestones

8258 Crane Truck

8858 Car Chassis

8455 Back-hoe

I am shore that there are others, but nothing licensed

Offer 'Builder Packs' of bulk technic parts. Not individual pieces in bulk. Example a pack of 100 -15long beams, 50-13, 25-11, 25-9,25-7,25-5,25-3, all these in one box. The same for bent arms, axles, connectors, pins etc. This approach would allow TLG to produce them in their standard production environment, it would be just another kit.

Am i the only one who doesn't know what this is?

Its a huge mining machine which is actually going to be a technic set in 2H this year its set 42055 I think

My answer is: something like 8455 back hoe or a forklift! I mean a fork lift it's fairly easy to do and could easily have 4 RC functions like 42030!

I think the 8880 super car in race car mode, with race colours. Or a test chassis with some stud beams. Something that looks back as well as forward.

I would like to see a new 3D building program with all available parts, combining the best functions from LDD, MLCAD, LPUB etc.

It would be nice If they do something like this, of course with trailer.

Perhaps release a few 'Legacy' versions of classic Technic sets (i.e. updated with new elements).

So after this year do we really think next year they can top what they've done this year? It would be amazing if they did but big set wise I think the will struggle to top the BWE, do it has to be launching something new, a remake/bring back or maybe a collection of sets? There is huge potential let's hope the don't let us down! Are we actually sure they are going to mark it in anyway?
