July 8, 20159 yr Lego dimensions has just announced yesterday and today two announcements, 1. That Peter Capaldi will voice The Doctor in the game, 2. Clara Oswald and Missy will feature voiced by Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez respectively also Nick Briggs will voice the daleks according to IMDB. I wonder if that selection of characters for the game is is an indication of the characters to be featured in the ideas set, it would make sense to be honest as Series 9 of Doctor Who starts in September with a two part opener featuring the return of Michelle Gomez as Missy, which will be previewed at SDCC, as will doctor who's impact on dimensions so maybe that will be when they reveal officially the Doctor Who ideas set and then release all three in September as dimensions and series 9 both come out in sept. If my experience with the Pre-Super Smash Bros 4 speculation, IMBD listing =/= confirmed, anything could be listed on there, doesn't make anything official.
July 9, 20159 yr http://www.gamespot....u/1100-6428732/ Other playable characters available for purchase as physical Lego Minifigs include a Cyberman, Dalek, and K-9. Cyberman fun pack confirmed! Edited July 9, 20159 yr by just2good
July 9, 20159 yr If we get any of those past-doctors as figures, I might just faint. I still think we should get a Doctor Who CMF series for all thirteen Doctors (and then some fillers a Cyberman, Dalek, and/or Zygon).
July 9, 20159 yr Yeah, to me it looks like we wont get any of those other 11 doctors soon, none of them really looks like they were made by lego for physical figs.
July 9, 20159 yr It's too bad they couldn't get more of the actors to voice the characters, I'm sure the 4 other actors who played modern doctors would love to voice the characters in a video game.
July 9, 20159 yr That cyberman looks excellent, I wonder whether they will give it to us in chrome... As for the Doctors they all look good, I personally feel that the Anakin hairpiece really doesn't work for Matt Smith but nonetheless they all look very accurate.
July 9, 20159 yr I am actually using that hair piece on my custom figure of him, and I think it works.
July 9, 20159 yr I just hope the actual Dr Who Ideas set is good and they don't gimp the Ideas set in order to push people to buy the Dimensions stuff instead.

While on the topic of wrong hair pieces, I think the Sleepyhead hair for David Tennant would look much better than Mutt hair, but I do suppose it would clash with John Hurt.
July 9, 20159 yr Cyberman battlepack hype! Lego has to do that at some point, the minifigure looks made for it Not so sold on the dalek though, I was really hoping it would only be partly brick built There seems to be no one the set can flop though, I really hope it's successful enough to warrant more sets
July 9, 20159 yr From this I reckon the ideas set will be that in game tardis exterior, 12th doctor, Clara, missy, Dalek and cyberman. This would reuse stuff from dimensions meaning lego didn't have to do anything unique figure wise for ideas and it would work as both an ideas tie in and a series 9 one. That's what I reckon anyway.
July 9, 20159 yr The Cyberman looks good. The Dalek is ugly. Honestly, I think the Dalek just needs new molds. The ONLY non-Lego brick building stuff I've bought are the Daleks from Character building. They do not suck but the scale is wrong and it lacks that good Lego quality in the plastics. I'm still on the fence. They have a bad doctor for this. Capaldi... well, maybe he's not bad but the writing is ridiculous and the show is just bad now. It's got progressively worse since Moffat took over. If the only Doctor Minifigure available is Capaldi I probably will be skipping this. Also the Tardis is kind of ugly... Yeah, it's more to scale but I think boosting the size by even one stud horizontally would help it greatly. It's SQUISHED!
July 9, 20159 yr Does anyone else think the Cybermen fig's print look like a War Machine variant? Edited July 9, 20159 yr by gedren_y
July 9, 20159 yr The cyberman looks great. I'm assauming the other thing is supposed to be a dalek...the less said the better. :-(
July 9, 20159 yr The Dalek looks terrible, hopefully its only because it seems to be based on the older version in Victory Of The Daleks. Fingers crossed we get a much different version in the actual Ideas set/sets that look better - really disappointed by the Dalek. The Cybermen look alright, though the Iron Man esque body (Caused by Nightmare In Silver) has made them feel too similar to the recent Iron Man figures. Worried it wont have the opening mask function that has been shown-off a lot in the show recently. Getting War Machine vibes from the design, so much so that i expect a similar body design for the War Machine in 'Civil War' Oh and the Weeping Angels btw; Edited July 9, 20159 yr by Scarilian

Getting War Machine vibes from the design, so much so that i expect a similar body design for the War Machine in 'Civil War' Oh and the Weeping Angels btw; it's lego's style lego don't want to copy cb because they want to put their own stamp on it, they are obviously the gold daleks because they have been reintroduced and the paradigm phased out almost entirely because fans didn't like them they weren't in the following season and only appeared as in the background commanders in asylum of the daleks , if you watch the latest 2 series, the gold ones are now predominant. Lego wanted them brick built rather than moulded this allows for poseability and for them to be lego's style, these aren't supposed to be action figures. Tbh the gold ones look infinitely better than the tall bulky colourful ones. Edited July 9, 20159 yr by LuxorV
July 9, 20159 yr About the dalek in the Dimensions pack; the mini builds are designed so that they can be rebuilt, the instructions to be found in-game. The Ideas set may have a better fig-scale dalek, like the original concept.
