just2good Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 No drawing? Okay, doubt I was gonna in the first place. just2good can you tell us what minifigs re included? All I saw was that girl and the 12th Doctor, as well as some Daleks, but half of the set was cut off, and I'm sure Hulk_Smash's description is correct. Quote

K-Nut Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 So who exactly is in the set according to Hulk_Smash? (could we maybe add this information to the first page, also?) I think he mentioned Time of the Doctor, so it would include Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, Clara, and some Weeping Angels/Daleks I believe. Quote
BrickOn Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 (edited) Information: it is based on Time of the Doctor, it will contain Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, Clara, two Daleks, a Weeping Angel and is the TARDIS interior with the exterior on the end and able to come off and display as the TARDIS. Also it comes out on December 1st This? But Time of the Doctor was an assumption based on the minifgure content... I believe Edited September 17, 2015 by BrickOn Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 BrickOn, thanks for bringing back Hulk_Smash's post! I've added it to the first post, since it really contains all of the information necessary about the set. Quote
DarthPotato Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Were the Dalek designs the same as the ones from Dimensions? What colors were they? Thanks in advance! Quote

I can't find the quote to it now, but the answer is that the Dalek designs in the set are different than the Dimensions one. Same color though. Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Nice to hear that Hulk_Smash is right once again. I'm crossing my fingers for a reveal this Saturday. Cannot wait! Quote
Jared Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Nice to hear that Hulk_Smash is right once again. I'm crossing my fingers for a reveal this Saturday. Cannot wait! I hear you. That would be the most awesomest coolest thing to ever wake up to ever. Highly skeptical though.... probably will be revealed during the finale week.... Quote

Same color though. Wonder how and why they would change the design... It can't be one of the new Paradigm as those are multicolored, and since t has the same color, I don't see how they could have different builds... Guess time will tell. Quote

It's probably because the Dalek in the Dimensions set has to be able to be rebuilt into two other models for the game, whereas the one in the Ideas set does not. The Brick King Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Saturday and they still haven't revealed the set. If this was a plan by LEGO to get us all hyped up about the set so the moment it hits shelves all of the AFOLs and TFOLs and everyone would flood the stores just to get this set...IT IS WORKING. *EDIT* Got the days mixed up. AHEM, it's FRIDAY and they still haven't revealed the set. Clone OPatra Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Oh, and who else is excited for Series 9 tomorrow? I know it's exciting, but this type of question belongs in Culture & Multimedia.Hulk_Smash said the set is coming out December 1, didn't he? If so, I would not expect a reveal now regardless of the new series debut. Please keep posts wondering about the reveal to a minimum - it's a non discussion. Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I'm really starting to lose my respect for LEGO with their delaying the reveal of the LEGO Doctor Who set. Seriously: this was announced in February and still nothing. Usually LEGO treat fans better than this. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 It's not a matter of treating the fans poorly. It's a matter of presenting it when it's ready. They were surely still working on the design for much of the time we first began to expect the reveal "any time now". Remember, they also still had two other Ideas sets to finish up and release when they first announced this one. Quote

CM4Sci Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Good news! I've got a picture of the set with no watermark. It looks pretty much the same as the picture I posted a while back. platform has rounded edges, a ladder w/ steps. TARDIS still opens up. Central area has the big blue beam thing, controls all around, railings w/ controls. Only minifigures I see are Peter Capaldi in a blue/purple outfit with a gold/white/green dot Sonic Screwdriver. Clara in this outfit: Two Daleks that look different from the Dimensions ones. That's about it. No watermark, again, so it's final. Edited September 18, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote

Clone OPatra Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 No Weeping Angel? No Matt Smith? Sad. They are in it too. I don't know why they aren't in the image CM4Sci, but they are in finalized images of the set. Never fear.Just because there are non-watermarked images out there doesn't mean that LEGO wants them revealed. They go to LEGO stores and perhaps other retailers, and are not for the general public. LEGODalekbuster523 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Don't ask other members to PM you pictures in a discussion thread, and remove pictures when you quote posts that contain them. Thanks. What's wrong with either of those things? I've been on other forums where neither of what you mention is a problem. In fact, the former is generally encouraged usually to reduce spoilers. AyliffeMakit Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 ...Peter Capaldi in a brown/purple outfit So wait, is the minifig from the ideas set a different variant and not the same as the dimensions one? Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) The image I got is only half of the catalog page so there's probably more. Someone on 4chan mentioned 'Doctor who lego 4 sets' but I wouldn't wish for 4 sets. Only the one. Doctor is different from Dimensions - looks more purple with dark blue shirt and a small pocket watch. From what I see right now, this is not worth $60. Edited September 18, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote
