But I need to know! Is today Monday? Or is it Saturday?

HELP ME, NEMO!

This is NOT how to respond to a Regulator. It's not funny. Do it again and we may be having a private chat.

BrickCon said on their Facebook that there are no reveals this year.

I'm starting to get mad.

Enough.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: stop pointlessly talking about the reveal date. It's useless.

Looks awesome!! Can't wait to see the full reveal!!!

Although not sure I like the look of the studs underneath the sign...

Also, doesn't look like those doors open :sceptic:

Hopefully I'm proven wrong

Most of the talk about the release date is useless speculation, but the one you just targeted was an actual helpful post, as many people were anticipating this or another set being revealed at Brickcon this weekend.

Look what the Doctor Who Facebook page has just posted!

Ooh that's great! It will be revealed in the next week then, I'd say. Either online or NYCC. Wait sorry, I'll talk about the actual content now: Tardis looks really good, although I'm disappointed that for some reason the police box sign is two tiles? It looks like they're both 1x3 so why not make a 1x6 instead?

^ yeah, the sign at the top being split into two stickers is a huge bummer because it could have looked so much better as one. Not a fan of the gap in the lettering there. The studs underneath the sign on each side are totally fine though. Let's remember that it's LEGO and not a 100% accurate replica - the studs are a part of LEGO's charm and playability.

Looks good! Can anyone tell me if those panes in the doors are connected or loose? Looks like you have to click them into the frame, I mean. If so, do you reckon that's done because of the white panels with the text and windows? Or could you, I don't know, customise it? Like: different windows and sign and the St John's Ambulance logo there / not there, depending on your preference of Doctor?

NICE!!! Let's have a copy of that image here in this thread, where it belongs:

Ooh, I see hinges! Presumably this one opens up (not just the doors, but splitting fully open) in the manner of AndrewClark2's original project, which might account for the Police Public Call Box sign being split across two tiles. I can live with that; I suspect Doctor Who will eventually get further sets, in which case I think it likely we'll get more than one version of the TARDIS anyway. But this is an excellent start. And I don't believe those are stickers!

Yep, it opens.

On the inside is a window piece that has the back of the doors on it. If that makes sense.

Exciting!

No stickers? By all the saints, what a time to be an AFOL Whovian! I better start practicing my Capaldi impression, this stuff is just waiting to be used in fan animations! Which is why I'm so happy that LEGO is doing this. Loved the Character Building 'microfigures', but LEGO has a much wider catalogue of pieces. Much more options for fan-made adventures.

Are those normal window panes printed in blue? I've never seen non-transparent ones before

POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX looks like 2 stickers to me (otherwise entire tile would be black, not just parts of it), hope I'm wrong though, rest seems all printed which is excellent.

Apparently Samuel Johnson (a designer who has previously worked on City, Ninjago and Chima) is the designer who was tasked with turning the concept into a finished set. Kind of an appropriate choice, considering Paul McGann (the eighth Doctor) is actually his uncle!

The TARDIS looks really nice. I do think however, the Dimensions in-game TARDIS is a bit more to scale. But this is just looking via pictures. I guess once we see the set I won't be oddly wanting a Dimensions scale one. This just looks like it'd be really tall compared to a normal minifigure. Still excited for the set though.

I think you need a private chat with Oky, not me. He has been sending me private accusations/name-calling via PM.

That has nothing to do with what Clone OPatra just accused you of.

It's related the 'private chat' idea. He suggested a private chat if I post a light-hearted joke to a moderator's comment again. I suggested he have a private chat with a poster who's done something far worse instead.

I originally thought the 2-piece "Public Call Box" sign was because the whole front would open up, but there is a single piece above the windows that would make that impossible.

It seems like an odd design choice to use 2 1x3 plates instead of a 1x6, especially if it is a sticker. That's 8 fiddly little stickers to try and line up perfectly or the sign will look wrong.

I do like the use of opaque window pieces to create the panels!
