DuckBricks Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Is this the finalized set? If you're referring to the image above your post, no, that's just the Ideas submission. If you're referring to the two linked drawing of the set, those drawings are interpretations of the final set. No official images yet. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Apparently Samuel Johnson (a designer who has previously worked on City, Ninjago and Chima) is the designer who was tasked with turning the concept into a finished set. Kind of an appropriate choice, considering Paul McGann (the eighth Doctor) is actually his uncle! That's cool! Where'd you learn this? Quote
Jay_Em Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Looks promising, just hope the price point matches. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Ah, I forgot the little tap piece (covered by the Doctor) and the top of the tube was cut off so, oh well. Not bad. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Nice! Let's have that one here, too (these should probably all be put together in the initial post of the thread, actually): Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) Nice! So that'll be in the interior section behind the TARDIS facade. It looks close to the original, so that's definitely a plus. That printed 2x2 round tile will be useful for mad science labs... Edited October 5, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Take my money! Take it all! I don't have much use for it anyway Seriously though, this looks absolutely fantastic, can't wait to see the whole set in all its glorious glory Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I'm excited, but what I really want to see are the minifigures. Hope they'll do a Weeping Angel teaser soon... Quote
gedren_y Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 That skeleton arm bar piece in a new color, finally! Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) Nope. It's been in that color in Arkham Asylum, Darkseid Invasion, and even in the Gollum Fun Pack. Edited October 5, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
BrickOn Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Wow these pics look so good, now I am really excited :-) Quote
Lyichir Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 That's cool! Where'd you learn this? I don't remember where I learned it originally—I had even completely forgotten which Doctor he had been related to until I asked on Facebook and he reminded me. Still, pretty cool. Quote
Tariq j Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 It looks brilliant! Hopefully those tiles are printed... Quote
JaseTJ Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 While I'm guessing the window pieces are printed, which is awesome, I honestly would rather the "Police Call Box" design be stickers. That way you could put them on a 1 x 6 instead, and get rid of the printing gap. Quote
Steph 104th Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I really cannot wait for this set, now all we need to see is the minifigs! Quote
deskp Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I really cannot wait for this set, now all we need to see is the minifigs! I would assume Clara, 11 and weeping angels looks like they do in dimensions. But seeing them properly and with the set expressions is gonna be ace Quote

I think it's possible the set will have both, actually - paired 1x3s for the splitting side(s), and 1x6s for the other sides. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 If LEGO releases an image of the Weeping Angel minifigure, I'll definitely be glued to the picture...but what if the image creates several Weeping Angel minfigures that begin to menace the viewers? I can't decide if that's awesome (free minifigures), terrifying, or hilarious! Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 I think it's possible the set will have both, actually - paired 1x3s for the splitting side(s), and 1x6s for the other sides. It has 1x3s all around. Needs it for the folding up and out function. Quote
(1)Stein Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) The complete set! https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/576/21985207051_51f61f38bd_o.jpg Edited October 6, 2015 by LuxorV Image too big. Turned into link. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) There you go! :) That's merely identical to the image I got with a few changes. Didn't think it was that short. Explains a bit though. No 11th Doctor ? Edited October 5, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Poor Lego. They can never keep the best stuff under wraps. I just started watching this show too, this looks fantastic! Can't wait until the official images roll around! Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) Never mind, there's the 11th Doctor. He's got a fez! http://www.hothbricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/21304-lego-ideas-doctor-who.jpg Edited October 6, 2015 by LuxorV Image too big. Turned into link. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 And wow, 623 pieces? Doesn't look it, but hey, that's that. Ahh, there he is. Nice! Quote
