Simon - Special Damage (Pretzel, Samuel, Kiray KO'd, Deborah and Grimwald Doomed [How the hell does Dirge of the Phoenix work in this case? It would revive them instantly with one health, right? So does it cost 5 ether earlier, and then 15 additional ether now? You don't even have the ether for that…]) Grimwald v. Simon - Meditate Deborah v. Simon - Shield Marcellus v. Angelic voices, high heavenly voices, cry out a sad song, a horrific song, plucking out the heart of each hero, making them experience nirvana and death. Samuel, Kiray and Pretzel slip to the floor, unconscious, and their souls most surely leave their bodies in that short moment. "See how they fall!" cries Simon joyously. "The way of the Light will set all those foul souls free! And we shall live in paradise, all of us." The light is blinding. Yu Shu crouches next to Samuel, hardly breathing herself, checking his pulse. Deborah checks Kiray. "Nerwen!" she screams over the bone-chilling choir. "She's gone! Cold already, and her eyes..." It doesn't last until the end of the round. (Though I would love it to, shame for P and K to miss out on XP right at the end.) Marcellus, if you would return my shield and helm, we are done. Samuel can you return the scrolls, Shadeux mace and the cloak to Monk Pretzel. Kiray, the chain, crescent and Mythril shields and the gladius are his also, Samuel has your shield. You can return my Katana or make an offer on it. It seems to suit you well. Grimwald, you have five of my gems, and the shako is Pretzel's Pretzel, here is the darksteel armour you lent me. Do you have everything back? Yu Shu, you have my seal of the warrior priestess. Monk, you used a lot of consumables, but found quite a bit of treasure, so I'd call that a wash. You've got the clan Enzima armour. Do you want to keep it, give it to Yu Shu or throw it back in the pot? Kiray you've got the never blessed armour and helmet, the snug armour, the sword of fire and light and the two fanged Orcish shield. The ride back to Eubric is a fair one. Samuel and Yu Shu spend most of the time below the deck, Yu Shu still incredibly sick and her protege refuses to leave her side. The rest of the heroes don't have much to do, exhausted as they are. Avery spends a lot of the time lounging around and getting slightly burned in the sun. She sneers at this. What does it matter to an undead? At Eubric Avery disappears without a sound, a ghost, as if she had never been there at all. It is impossible to tell what will she bore towards the party at the end, or in what capacity they would next meet. Ser Abel shakes Pretzel's hand, then the hands of the rest of the party. He gives Samuel a brotherly hug, and then he too is gone into the crowd. Yu Shu stares after him with red-rimmed eyes, but she lets him go. The party accompanies Yu Shu and Samuel to the Temple of Ennoc. At the door to the room they originally met her in, Yu Shu stops and faces the party. "I'm sure I should give some triumphant speech, but I'm tired as Hel and need to see the priests and priestesses of our Order to see if they can make me not feel this way." She grunts. "So thank you, heroes. I was never worried you would fail me, and you never did. I don't know if the world is a better place today than the day we set out, but i hope it is, and I feel that it is, and sometimes that's all we've got to go on." She digs around in a pouch and gives each of the heroes a diamond. "Thats my thanks." She steps inside, leaving the heroes with Samuel and a successful quest! Phew. A bit longer than I intended.
