Bernard head butts the prisoner, and then chortles in his deep armor as Blueblast covers the blood that seeps down his forehead.

"I'd enjoy a good fight. The villagers around here just roll over and die when I come to town. I'll see if Bella won't release you into the ring with me." He looks Blueblast over. "Can't imagine you've got much technique, though. You look like a good old fashion hack and slash. I should be able to finish you within a minute. What the Hel are you, anyway?"

"Don't call me a ruler. There are others who will lead. I am a conquerer."

The heroes are marched through a series of passageways, and they begin to get a feel for the fortress. The architecture is build directly into the cave - sometimes the walls simply end and the cave walls take over. There are a series of places where multiple rooms with high ceilings, and from second and third floor windows the heroes can tell they are being watched by archers and warriors. Sometimes there are small slits in the roof to allow in moonlight, and the occasional torch or candle is scattered throughout. The entire place is a labyrinth, and a dangerous one.

Eventually the heroes come to a sort of interior courtyard, the ceiling so high that it is lost in darkness - only a small slit to allow in the moonlight is visible above. Their procession comes to a halt.

"We'll be dealing with you now," announces Bella with a sly smile.

Out of the opposite corridor marches a Warrior Priest that Nerwen recognizes: Samuel the Doubly Blessed, followed by a number of guards.

"Hello everyone. Lady Nerwen. Commander Yu Shu," says Samuel with a confident smile. A deep rolling growl arises from Yu Shu.

"I thought I'd leave you in familiar hands. Everyone, this is Samuel the Doubly Blessed. Once he was a Warrior Priest under Yu Shu until he saw the darkness that grew within her and the weakness he bred. He has since come to serve the true Light."

The guards swarm around the heroes, stripping them of their items, their back-up weapons, and armors.

"You bastard!" Yu Shu spits at Samuel finally, unable to control herself. "You coward!"

"I am a little disappointed, Samuel. You told me Yu Shu would be difficult to topple, yet here she is, presenting herself to me on a silver platter. And I thought I'd have to go all the way to Eubric to take care of her." Bella shakes her head. "The greenskins, kobold and undead may be exterminated."

We will allow them the choice to join our empire of Light, or not. My brother is a better speaker than me. They should wait to speak with him."

She turns to the heroes and their companions.

"This has been brief and disappointingly boring."

She, Bernard, Oko, Abel and their soldiers stride off the way they came. Samuel and his guards surround the heroes.

The heroes turn down a particularly tight corridor. Yu Shu growls at Samuel.

Samuel turns to the soldier he is walking behind, the one carrying Yu Shu's weapon.

"I am very sorry. I hope you find a just reward in Ennoc's land." And he slams his staff into the man's face. Blood gushes forward as Samuel deftly tosses Yu Shu's weapon to her.

Meanwhile, Avery flicks a dagger out of seemingly nowhere and stabs it into the throat of the guard next to her. As he falls she deftly yanks her cloak from his belongings and tosses it on her back.

I have to say that I admired the Order Imperial then for being honest and noble fighters, good with the sword, but I'm not sure if I'd say the same about those who try to use treachery though. I guess there's no place in the world where the darkness hasn't penetrated."

As the Paladins turn and begin to fight, I grin.

Spying immediately the man carrying my equipment, I rush at him and tackle him from the Front Row.

Kiray didn't even know what happened as Samuel turned to their side. Yet as soon as she heard the battle begin, she attacks the Guard (sword) C from the front, hoping to retrieve her things quickly.
