JamesJT Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Stick it in a pack of rice (to soak up the water) and hope for the best. Quote
MajorAlvega Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Clean the receivers it with a towel and put inside a bag of rice for some days. The rice absorbs humidity, worked with my Android after 20 minutes at the bottom of the swimming pool. If possible, open the receivers cases. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 What they've all said and do it with the others as there may be still water in the motors and that can break them over time Quote
MajorAlvega Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 You can also use isopropyl alcohol, it's used to clean electronic components [not etanol nor metanol!]. It dissolves in water and later evaporates so if you sink your receiver/motor in a bowl of it, most of the water will mix with it and flow outside. (sorry for bad english but I think you got the idea). It's also used in hobby models to remove acrylic paints but I don't think that's a problem for you. It does not affect ABS plastic. Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 thank you for all the advises Quote
DrJB Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Wish I knew this when I dropped my phone in a bowl of soup, last June in Italy. I learned my lesson: Never answer the phone while at the dinner table! Quote
