Raelthorne Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Any ideas if we'll be getting an updated Milano? I'm tempted to pick it up off Bricklink but will hold off if there's any word of a newer updated one. Quote
Battlinpanther Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) So I have a question for the speculation thread. Do you think we will , in the near future, get minifigure variants of relatively new comic book characters? The only example I can think of is Miles Morales Spiderman but I do not know how abnormal that is. Personally I'd love to see a Kamala Kahn minifigure. It's not as abnormal as you think. We also got the new Nova, the new White Tiger, Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, Ultimate Spider-Woman, and now we're getting Red She-Hulk and Red Hulk, all of whom aren't that old. Kamala is set to appear in Avengers Assemble this season so there's a chance she could eventually get a minifig. Edited July 11, 2016 by Battlinpanther Quote

I would assume we will get one with the GotG Volume 2 sets next year (unless the Milano doesn't feature in the movie for some reason, but I doubt that; it's a beautiful ship, and Lego loves a whooshable ship). Might be a few months before we get confirmation, but it's almost certainly coming. Hopefully in a proper orange colour this time! Quote

legobagel Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 For GOTG, I think we may get a Milano, but it also depends on: 1. How much it is used in the film. 2. How much different it looks. They wouldn't make a vehicle that looks exactly the same as a set released on 3 years ago. Quote
Duncan Young Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Has the Avengers mansion appeared in the show? If so that could be a great play set with great mix of heroes and villains (Zemo anyone?) Quote
Battlinpanther Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 They use Avengers Tower instead of the mansion. Quote
Duncan Young Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 They use Avengers Tower instead of the mansion. Thought so, but the comic style Hulk set still gives me hope. Always preferred the mansion Quote

getbusybrickin Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I think if we do get a new Milano, it will be smaller considering the trend of interior space on MCU ships getting consistently smaller. Quote

Maybe not. There could be a USC Milano with the whole crew however a smaller version could be in a set similar to the airport battle. A structure and the Milano Quote

A structure and the Milano USC Milano for the win! I'd love to have a huge Milano. I ended up selling my one off because a) my cat knocked it off my shelf, and B) I didn't know where to place it if I rebuilt it once I moved as my display areas became limited at first. In the end I lumped it all in with other bricks I was selling. I'm really tempted to pick up another one now I'm all settled in though! Would love to pick up the Helicarrier too. Quote

It's UCS - Ultimate Collectors Series. They usually don't have superhero UCS sets, normally just D2Cs (Helicarrier, '66 Batcave, etc.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope we get some good prints for the 2017 figs, otherwise I'll be disappointed. Bricky Dee Williams Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 So, I have a guess at what, if there is one, the SDCC set will be. Given the wide range of minifigures that have been released for the theme this year, Lego wouldn't have to look far to make a CA: CW set, opposed to making a Doctor Strange set. I believe the exclusive set could be the final battle of the film, with the set consisting of Captain America (AoU/CA:CW outfit), Iron Man Mk. 46, and the Winter Soldier, against the wall/ backdrop of the bunker base. It fits the description of last year's set: scene, within four minifigs, and has some inexpensive characters as long as one who was in the wave's flagship set. What do you guys think? Quote

tafkatb Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I wouldn't read too much into what's been done in the past. It's not always the best indicator of what we'll see in the future. Quote

Pretty sure the Helicarrier was a UCS version, and the Burton Batmobile from the Batman line and the Tumbler from the DCSH line were most definitely both UCS. Quote

Helicarrier wasn't UCS. Most UCS are Star Wars. (Falcon, star destroyer) just because it is big DOES NOT mean it is UCS. Quote

tafkatb Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Oh, I didn't realize it was already time for the Seventh Annual Debate That Doesn't Go Anywhere Over What Qualifies As UCS. Quote
Captain Britain Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Snore - I was just trying to find out if it was a UCS or not, appreciate it may have been the wrong thread for it so apologise for that but I'm sure a report button click goes much further than a sarky comment . Quote
Shishalzafrazz Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Yeah, definitely don't want a conversation taking its natural course on the Internet between grown adults talking about brick toys to muddy up this highly sophisticated and organized thread entitled future marvel heroes speculation, or is it marvel 2016 rumors or is it marvel superheroes 2017 speculumors or another thread that concurrently running with eight different conversations that are all the same about how much we hate the stuff we can't wait to buy? Anyway, apparently the Batmobiles are called Ultimate Collectors EDITION, not series, so in web based technicalities, you are right. In real talk, those two and probably the Helicarrier are USC. In the rest of the world, it's a $350 toy you have to put together yourself. Quote

Well, the debate had to be hosted in this thread rather than over in the Star Wars one this week. It's good to change venues... Quote
