Indeed, there really is no better place to apply the Creator alternate build formula for licensed themes other than DC/Marvel SuperHeroes, and your suggestion would be perfect!

Now Minecraft may be an exception, but most licensed themes' source material is based upon concrete stuff, not much room for Lego designers to create original designs. With comic based SuperHeroes sets though, it really is up to them, so why not start doing sets with two or more alternate builds? :classic:

A green lantern jet being rebuilt into a sub would be perfect! I would like to see a £4.99 lantern set like with the city sets and a £9.99 lantern starter set like with the city sets, they could really mash up aspects of quite a few themes but nah, no lantern sets *cries*

I noticed that. I think it could be Wanye Manor.  If a summer wave released you think at least another 3 sets.

I thought it was confirmed we were getting another 3 sets in the summer?  I could be wrong though.

It wasn't confirmed, it was just speculation. There's a difference.

Oh right okay. Well either way I don't mind, I just can't wait to see Wanye Manor.  If it's going to be as big as the GBHQ it's going to be one hell of a set.

Is it an October release?

No, it'll release in January with all the other sets.

Who told you that? I'm pretty sure Stash said October

Did he? I thought other people had confirmed it for January. If it releases in October I'll be happy, though. It would be a bit strange since the other stuff doesn't release until January.

Maybe, I'll have to double check. The store calendar said there's VIP access late September for two D2Cs this time (first being the Falcon, the other I assume is Wayne Manor). I could be wrong though. Are we expecting any other D2Cs?

The Winter Village Train Station is probably the other early access.

Didn't think of that, probably because of it's relatively small size. Ah well, guess I'll have to find something else to get for my birthday.... (which is in October)

I caught mention of this set via the Star Wars 2017 thread. Is there any word on whether it will be modular scale, and what the minifig selection will look like? Alfred?

In an ideal world, I'd love to see sets like those new Classic boxes that have a variety of bricks in mostly one color, with each one coming with a matching Lantern (ex. Saint Walker in a blue box, Bleez in red, Larfleeze in orange, etc.) That way we'd effectively have an army-builder but also the iconic Lantern minifigs.

Now that I can get on board with. There would only be one Orange Lantern set available, though. Just Larfleeze minifig and a box of trans-orange minifigs. Guy Gardner minifig would get confused and start turning up in all the other sets. Poor Saint Walker minifig couldn't build anything without the Green set.

I can't remember who the source was but I know that they said it will be as big as the GBHQ.  As for minifigures we do not have any idea of who we will be getting.

Only a little while ago, I would have dismissed the idea that we could plausibly get a Creator type GL set, even though the concept would be most ideal for the character. But after seeing the "Build Your Own Adventure" DC book we got this year with John Stewart, now it does not seem as far fetched to see such a set for the theme.

A large Batcave Creator-type set would be kind of cool too, essentially a parts bucket with instructions and a ideas booklet to suggest multiple varying Batvehicle builds. I do think kids would really dig a set like that. :classic:

I wonder if there'd be room in the budget for a new blood-vomit mold? Gotta keep that Red Lantern trademark

Well, they are doing the whole superpowers pieces soon, and I'm sure TLG would be on board with the family friendly Red Lantern initiation process

Personally, I'd like to see a set based on everyone in Atrocitus's sector getting genocided by the Manhunters. Think of the play features!

You forgot the super jumper to launch their bodies into the cold, unforgiving vacuum of space!

On a more serious note, those pieces actually seem prime for a good Lantern set. If the next 2018 wave is still pushing them, I'd bet we do see at least A Lantern somewhere. Wouldn't be surprised to see Atrocitus honestly, since he's had a whole JLA episode and is in the intro pretty significantly, which is true of all the other figures we're getting this winter.

As corrupted as the Manhunters became, even they're not evil enough to break the aliens legs

@Duncan Young can this set be paired with the long awaited Abin Sur visit to Ysmault set, so he can pop in and naively release Atrocitus?

Yeah, I'm surprised at how many GL sets are coming out. I can't wait for the Kyle Rayner's Fridge Surprise set and Dictatorship on Korager is also rather tempting
