You are insane.

Excuse me? That's rather rude.

You mean like this?

I'm not sure how Chester could be mislead by a hypothetical situation. I haven't seen Jack claiming to know who the vigilante is or anyone doing so. Chester has only made four posts in this entire day which have just be unhelpful and misleading.

You did use exactly the same argument for voting Jack....but at least you're trying.

Seems like Sammy used "jumping" two ways... oops. The first instance made sense to me because Peter did try to jump on the Bobby wagon yesterday, an "easy lynch".

Yeah that misled me too.

William, would you mind telling us all the timeline of your interactions with Barry so we can slot that in to my timeline?

Voting update:

Peter Cedar (badboytje88) - 3 (Bob, TinyPiesRUs, Zepher)

Hazel Hazelnut (Goliath) - 2 (jamesn, mostlytechnic)

Chester Chestnut (Lego Spy) - 1 (Dragonfire)

Maggie Magnolia (Calanon) - 1 (fhomess)

mail.statco-dsi.comSimon Persimmon (Hinckley) - 1 (Scubacarrot)

There are 4 Hours left in Day 4. It takes 8 votes to lynch.

Also, as I was posting this, I'd like to congratulate Sammy for sticking out like a sore thumb now!

Sticks out like a sore thumb, how? You think he is Scum.

I wanted to make sure my vote on Hazel is justified. So... I started way back on day one when I'd been pinging on her and re-read the whole thing.

First, let's see how Hazel voted.

  • Larry, as the second vote on him and just restating someone else's logic
  • Catarina for being defensive and fluffy

Hm... both of those turned out to be oak after being lynched on days 2 and 3.

Second, what did Hazel do on day 1? Very first post was an apology. Pinged several people right off the bat - why coming in and starting off defensive like that? Next was silence and more apologetic posts about being without access for a while. That's fine and can be legit (something I defended Hazel for) but the apologetic-ness was over the top. And she threatened to just vote randomly since she couldn't keep up with everything going on. After getting into arguments with Catarina, she accused catarina of being "butt-hurt" and taking things too personally. Sounds like how hazel's been today. And after I voted for her, she argued my grammar rather than any of the accusations.

Third - how did others react to Hazel on day 1? Alastair poke-voted her and then unvoted after she said a few things. Oh wait, he became the day 1 lynch-wagon and is unknown allegiance. Catarina was pinging on Hazel but didn't vote it right away. Peter voted against Hazel, then Catarina did, and then I did (for her being lazy). Catarina unvoted Hazel so she could get onto the bandwagon.

TL;DR version? Hazel started right off the bat being lazy, defensive, and everyone she voted against turned out to be oaks later. A number of people were pinging on her as scummy. So yeah, I'm still comfortable in putting my vote on her.

I'm not a fan of Peter's gameplay, but the things that have been pointed out about him remind me of...I don't know...every other game he's ever played here. Granted, he is pretty much the same on both sides. I'm trying to keep my metagaming hat off, but I know the tree (I'm punny now that it's not the cool thing to do) of you have played with him a lot as well. What's different about this game from his other games that has you thinking he's Scum this time?

Wait again... here you're accusing Chester of misunderstanding (which is correct, he DID misunderstand) but you did the SAME THING in misunderstand what I was saying about a hypothetical vig when you voted for me:

It's not accusing if he did, then doesn't respond after he was called out on it but instead stayed quiet. Unless you believe that sort of behavior is perfectly fine, than I think you miss the general point I made.

Sticks out like a sore thumb, how? You think he is Scum.

That is possible. I didn't think much of Sammy up until that very comment. Unless you care to elaborate your thoughts on Sammy?

It's not like I haven't spent several pages accusing him in past days or anything. :hmpf: I wasn't clear as to what you thought was Scummy about him. Your post left me with some questions. Maybe if you could elaborate about your suspicion of him, it will be more clear.

Jack, you also voted against Catarina a few votes after the number needed. So you contributed to the lycnhing of an Oak yourself. As for Alastair, that was his decision to to unvote me, I did not influence him in any other way other than answer his question. I did not vote for him, however, just like you. It's also peculiar that you voted for Barry on Day Three and he ended up to be janitored. Can you say that was a coincidence?

I'll shed some light on it for you. Sammy hadn't seemed to bother me much before. His comment is weird to me seeing as how I did not "jump" on anything. If I had, I would have easily went after Peter seeing that he is, currently, the one with the most votes. No, I went for Chester first. Chester has very little contribution for this day with four comments, all of which were just unhelpful. He also completely dodged my question I asked about Jack. You'd think he would have responded to that since he quoted me, but nope. That what makes me think differently about Sammy now.

By bother, you mean arouse suspicion? Removing the verb "jump" the point is valid. You could be trying to conform to his first analysis which would make you an Oak. People are going to take notice when an Oak tries to chop itself down so you're under a lot of scrutiny right now. I'm not sure how this particular activity makes Sammy suspicious. It is suspicious that the accusation makes you so jumpy.

Also, as I was posting this, I'd like to congratulate Sammy for sticking out like a sore thumb now! Well, at least to me. So would you prefer I just give up and let Maples win? That would be an easy win for you, wouldn't you say? And as of right now, there is no votes against Nash nor Jack, only one against Chester. So what exactly is it that I'm "jumping on"? I'll gladly keep this in mind, however, and not that you did not even attempt to answer a general question I had about Jack. :classic:

Let me explain this again, and I'll try not to mix up the names this time! You started by pretending you're giving up, wanting to be lynched. Fair enough. I told you that I thought you were either 1) Oak seting up a trap for Maples; 2) Maple acting like he was a Jester; 3) a real Jester; or 4) Maple acting like crazy so that we dismiss him as Oak. Right then you turned around, pretending you don't want to be lynched anymore. I accused you of jumping one one of the options I gave you, the one that made you look useful (Oak setting up a trap). Maybe you were afraid of your plan backfiring. Maybe you are option 5) a Maple setting up a trap for Oaks. In any case, the weirdness of your behaviour pretty much justifies voting for you (options 2-4-5 above), so I'm still trying to figure out what kind of game you're playing.

I wasn't talking about your jumping on a player, but rather jumping on a chance to abandon your plan. At this point I don't care about Jack, because as I said above your scheme doesn't prove anything.

No, I was actually giving up and wanted to be lynched. If I were a Jester, I wouldn't have changed my mind. If I were scum, I wouldn't be as talkative as I am. I'd be playing more or so like Chester right now - very quiet and unhelpful. I changed my mind to not give up because I don't want to quit anymore. I have no problem with becoming a stump or unrooted as long as actual Oaks take some of my thoughts into consideration. So if you or anyone wants to lynch me, be my guest but know that you'll be down a townie.

Still, where art thou Chester?

Vote: Chester Chestnut (Lego Spy)

Seriously, where is everyone? We've got almost half the forest not voting yet. So it's not worth moving any votes around yet to get a lynch, since we've only got 8 TOTAL votes placed.

(oops, hazel just posted and voted while I was writing, so we've got 9 of 15 trees voting so far.)

The lack of any bandwagon forming fascinates me.

vote: Hazel Hazelnut (Goliath)

For jumping on my vote for Jack with the validation of twisting his words.

Chester did this too.

Besides, you've now twice led lynches on Oaks and got bandwagons rolling. Don't you think you ought to look at Chester some more?

We've only got two hours left, let's get this wagon rolling on Hazel.

I'll vote if needs be to get a lynch, but I do suggest getting Chester or Peter instead.

Actually, screw my vote on Chester, it's not going to get us anywhere. We need a lynch, and Peter is a better lynch than Hazel IMO.

As I pointed out early, this is the third time Hazel has done it, the second she has followed me. I analyzed her voting pattern earlier. I'm certainly not convinced that Chester is Town, but there are more votes on Hazel right now and her behavior is highly suspect. Is this the third time you've defended Hazel or was that somebody else? I do remember we found posts where Barry defended you. I really like the Hazel lynch right now.

For what it's worth, it is the third time he has defended Hazel. This is part of what that argument Hazel drew me into day 1 was about. A lynch is very important today, no lynch will only hurt oaks.

Any particular reason? Why not vote for William?

You are highly concerned about where my vote is today. Why is that? I should look at Chester because I've led two bandwagons on Oaks???? What logic does that make for an Oak to say?

This is, hands-down, the Scummiest move I think I've seen all game. This is a "No!!!! Don't lynch Hazel!" move. You've claimed Miller, but I'd love to see Hazel's alignment now that you seem desperate to defend her. You hope she's Scum but you think she's Town. *huh* Crazy.

I admit that I miss you, Catarina. :cry_happy:

Thank you. But I am still with you in stump tree spirit form.

May I be the first to say that if Alastair is Scum, you were right about him and Hazel from the very beginning.

I'd been leaning towards switching my vote to Peter in the interest of getting a lynch today and then pursuing Hazel tomorrow, but now I'm set. My vote stays and I hope others will join!
